MATRIX Energy Drink Review from Yeahright

DOSAGE: One small juice container full (not sure how many ounces).

TASTE Indeterminate fruit/berry type flavor. It didn't stand out as specifically tasting like anything but simultaneously tasted like a lot of things. When I tasted this, my first thought was "wow, they really could mass-market this stuff." The taste isn't sweet or overpowering. I guess the best word for it would be "understated."

CONTEXT/PURPOSE: Wanted to test the effect of this in comparison to X-FORCE.

EFFECT: I drank 1/4 of the container on an empty stomach at 7:30am and waited to see if I was going to experience any adverse reaction. It might have been placebo effect but I felt energized and upbeat within minutes of ingesting this small amount of the drink. After waiting 15 minutes, I drank the remainder of the container then ate a light breakfast and drank a latte. Three hours into it I'm energized and in a good mood. I'm not sure if the ingredient profile is similar to X-FORCE but I'm also experiencing the sinus clearing effect that X-FORCE gave me. I'm enjoying this stuff and will update this review after it wears off and I can reflect upon the experience. So far, two thumbs up! :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

I did. I drank 25% then waited 15 minutes and drank the remaining 75%.

I'm always a little cautious when ingesting something new in case of an adverse reaction. As it is, my wife was already looking askance at me as I was drinking this weird liquid sent to me by someone I met on the internet. :icon_lol:

I have another bottle which I'll drink all at once on my next testing.
 
Says you! I drank mine about 30 minutes ago. Half of it and i'm waiting to drink the other half because I feel the effects already :) Those little bottles remind me of the ghetto-ade I used to drink as a kid.
 
I foresee IBE breaking into the liquor market with this* Matrix Martinis would sell like hotcakes at clubs and raves.

Jagermeister. Damn good drink. Better than that though, sink a shot of Bicardi O into a glass of Red Bull and chug. It's called a tictac, tastes exactly like an orange tic tac, especially the after taste. Keeps you up and running too. Maybe a little too much as the last time I drank these in any quantity they threw me out of the club. My friend Al found me on the side walk mumbling to myself and yelling at strangers.

IBE, you planning a wider market for this drink or is it something you're keeping more low key? I know a friend who I buy cases of Red Bull for when I go to Costco, I know she'd be interested in a good energy drink alternative.
 
You'll do well in the energy drink market since yours is different. All of them are just variations of caffiene, B12, Ginseng et cetera.

Not likely. She's tried stuff I've gotten for her before but is wary when something looks a little shady. She's also on an antidepressant right now, if that factors into the mix let me know. I'm not sure which one, I can find out.

I'm more than willing to buy. I'm not much on free products because my logs suck and I feel guilty. Getting a log from her would be nigh impossible though a small amount of feedback would certainly be easy to get.

Not like X-Force where I had waves of euphoria rolling over me. Instead, I've been in a consistently good mood since just a few minutes after my first dose this morning (and I only got 5 hours sleep).....but I'm not trying to get high off of this so consistent good mood is preferable to random euphoria. Unfortunately, I'm been stuck in an office all day so I haven't had a chance to see how this would effect mind/muscle coordination.
 
I'm pleasently alert and fill energetic. No euphoria, unless images of YR with water glistening all over his body while drinking a latte, count.

They're trying to run a business here and now you've just scared away all their potential customers.
 
I drank my first bottle this morning exactly as YR did, I felt very awake, but not jittery at all. I went to the gym about thiry minutes after ingestion, it was calves and leg day. I did 10 minutes cardio before workout, I felt the mind muscle connection on ,my first set of calves, I got a really good pump in my calves, which is extremely rare. I felt like I could contact my muscle better, or deeper if that makes sense, the leg workout was not to extreme, but recovery felt faster between sets. I did 18 minutes of cardio after workout and it was a breeze. It is now 5 hours later, not really feeling it, but still in a fairly good mood, I may add a little caffeine tomorrow. First impressions, good clean energy and no crash so far....

Hmmmmmmm. This is all subjective and probably will vary by individual and individual circumstances.....but:

My first dose of X-Force (2 capsules) really jacked me up. Waves of euphoria, aerobic capacity increase, desire to be active. I felt like I was on a mild psychedelic at points during the day.

My second dose of X-Force I took one capsule and then an additional capsule four hours later. This was a much smoother ride.....sustained energy and good mood.

Matrix feels like one capsule of X-Force plus greater mood elevation.

As for what I like better, it's hard to say. It's going on 7.5 hours since my first Matrix dose and I'd like to have another one about now (alas, the other bottle is at home). I'm still in a good mood, still energized but I can feel myself waning (I also usually have some sort of mid-day stim - coffee, tea, etc. which I've foregone today). The X-Force was longer lasting but the mood elevation wasn't as consistent. I'm going to have to reflect more on this but for straight-up getting jacked, the X-Force was better. For sustained mood elevation, Matrix seems to be better.

IBE, send me a Matrix drink and I'll see how it goes with my Jamaican rum and Kalua deluxo post w/o recovery concoction. OK, j/k but I will try it with a drink this weekend and see what happens.
 
And in the news today. Unknown man was seen running through the streets naked with his underwear on his head yelling incoherently. Odd references to the movie the Matrix was heard but not understood.
 
UPDATE: 13 hours since dosage

No crash. No negative effects that I can attribute to the Matrix drink. I did develop a slight headache around hour 11 but that's not all that unusual for me if I spend the day staring at a computer screen and yelling at people on the phone (as I did today).

Upon reflection, I think my earlier assessment is still accurate. The Matrix didn't stim me up as much as X-Force but I did have a noticeable stim effect that came on quickly and lasted probably 8-10 hours. However, the mood elevating effect was more consistent and lasting than X-Force. This has actually got me curious about whether it would be safe to combine them (say ONE X-Force pill and ONE Matrix drink)? What do you think LMD and/or IBE?

LOL, I'm thinking they might be complimentary. My sense is that they are two variations on the same basic formula....but I could be wrong.

The people who actually know what is in these things should be the ones to give me a green or red light on the idea..

Yes, you're a go on the combo, but you just mean 1 drink and 1 pill right? A drink and 2 pills may be pushing it a little. It will yield the same results you've been describing so far, but in a slightly different flavor or ratio of effects. I like the combo personally.

Matrix Energy Drink Dose Two

DOSAGE: One Matrix energy drink on an empty stomach at 7:30am. One X-Force capsule with breakfast (protein shake, apricot, blueberries, toast) at 8:00am.

TASTE Indeterminate flavor. My first dosage yesterday tasted fruity/berryish. Oddly enough, it tasted kinda citrus today.

CONTEXT/PURPOSE: Wanted to test the effect of this in combination with one capsule of X-FORCE.

EFFECT: Holy ****. Like yesterday, I felt energetic and had a mood elevation within minutes of consuming the Matrix. Maybe it's just a rush from having a quick infusion of calories after sleeping all night but this seems to have an unnaturally quick effect. I'm 5 hours since Matrix dosage and 4.5 hours since X-Force dosage and I feel really good. Excellent mood, lots of energy. I actually feel like bagging work and going out to DO SOMETHING physical. I may just do that once my admin support finishes a project that I need to approve before it goes out today.
 
That sounds great Yeahright! So it worked like you suspected it might then? The best of both with some overlap of certain effects?

Also, the caps have an extra ingredient designed to make it work as fast as possible (like within 5-10 minutes of taking it) but the breakfast cals don't hurt either. Especially a light, well balanced breakfast like you had.
 
has anyone noticed an effect on his ability to concentrate and stay focused on something (not kinda work then surf the web)? .. i'm assuming if there is one it would be positive

Yeah, mostly positive but it can go either way. The drink makes me focus hard but the caps are smooth enough to just sit around and veg out on. It's probably just me but if it's a really good and mellow stim, I could just sit there and enjoy it or get up and do a lot of work depending on my mood.
 
Matrix Energy Drink Dose Two UPDATE

DOSAGE: One Matrix energy drink on an empty stomach at 7:30am. One X-Force capsule with breakfast (protein shake, apricot, blueberries, toast) at 8:00am.

EFFECT: I ended up bagging work early and intended to come home and take the kids out hiking around....but got caught in a 2 hour traffic jam. So, by the time I got home it was nearly dinner anyway. I did about 30 minutes of cardio. Felt great. This combination kept me energized and in a good mood all day and into the evening. It's nearly midnight (17 hours after dose) and I still feel great. I'm going to go to sleep because I should, not because I need to. There was no crash. All-in-all, I'm impressed.

Got a question for you or Dr.D. I tried the samples of X-Force and I really like it. Just bought a bottle the other day. I am kinda numb to stims, I can take 2 StimX's and not really feel an effect. X-Force I felt right away and had a ton of energy in the gym. I also noticed throughout the day a sence of well being. This is a great product. Have either of you used it for over 30d ays, everyday? If so does the effect wear off over time?
 
I have been testing out these ingredients probably the longest in our company mainly getting the formula right, I mean this was even before Dr.D was with us and I can say with assurance that the effects definitely DON'T wear over time! We were definitely worried about that in the beginning.

PS- Dr.D is THE MAN. Sorry I had to throw that out there ;)

There was no adverse interaction.

Matrix definitely opposes the sedative qualities of alcohol and X-force combines with alcohol with some overlap of effects to generate a peaceful state but also with opposition to acute intoxication. I was unable to achieve sedation after a few drinks, but the combo was still pleasant for both products.

I also found that 8-10oz skim milk, 1 scoop Cytosport vanilla whey protein, 1 shot Kalua and 1/2 shot Everclear makes a killer white Russian alternative! :D

Matrix Energy Drink CONTINUING UPDATE

DOSAGE: I currently have a gallon container of Matrix energy drink sitting in my supplement cabinet. I've been taking it at different doses under different circumstances and all have been more-or-less as described in my first couple of experiences. I've settled on 8 oz as a standard dose which is the suggested serving size.

I'll update this log with some more detailed experiences/observations. As a side note, I sampled the new "stronger" version of Matrix and didn't experience anything different from the "standard" version. It's my understanding that this was pretty atypical among the testers so your mileage may vary.

EFFECTS This was my first day back at work in two weeks and unfortunately the stress pretty much overwhelmed the mood elevating effects of Matrix but I had plenty of clean energy throughout the day.

EFFECTS Long freakin stressful day and was afraid that I'd be wiped out if I didn't take a stim so I had a glass of Matrix. Perked me right up and helped to wipe away some of the stress. Seven hours later and I'm still going strong. Good thing it's snowing like all get-out right now (meaning probably no work tomorrow) because I think I'm going to be up late. :rofl:

EFFECTS Had a nice fun day doing household chores, lifting weights in the garage, and dragging the kids around on the sled. No crash. Just nice clean energy.
 
Glad to hear everything is still going good for you with Matrix!

Is this the type of energy supplement you see yourself using occasionally, but long term?
