Log of Unparalleled Dimensions: Viking & Irish Take On Controlled Labs

Side note regarding Green MAGnitude;

- it's as green coming out, as it is coming in .. Sorry for the detail, but I've gotten massive stomach upset following each work out the past three-four workouts. I didn't mention it before because I thought it was something I had eaten, but now I realize it's the Green MAGnitude that's giving me the stomach troubles .. Don't know how to approach this one.

Bummer man. No problems here.

Excuse me for not going back to check your diet/supp schedule, but are you taking GM on an empty stomach before a fasted workout?

No problem, man. I use 4-6 scoops GG intra-workout, in ~1/2 gallon water. Today, 3.5 hours pre-workout, I had 8 oz. red meat and 2/3 cups oats with 3/4 scoop protein powder and 2 tbs PB. 1 hour pre-workout, I had 1 TrioPlex Oatmeal Bar [58 grams carbs, 30 g protein, 16 g fat]. So no, definitely not working out on a fasted state.

.. Oh, my first workout of the day [cardio] is between 10AM and 12PM. My second workout [weightlifting] is between 5 and 7PM. Just to give you a better view of it.

Anyone got a 'sure-fire' joint concoction to offer? I'm currently using Fish Oil (6-9 grams), CLA (6 grams), Glucosamine/Chondiotrin (2,400mg), Cissus (5 caps @ 750mg/cap) .. Am I missing something ? Anti-dry joints ?

Just picked up the last two remaining jars of coconut oil at the Planet!

I wanted those three days ago ... but didn't have the $. Hoping New Years will be nicer to me, economically.

Day 7

Today is an off-day, so not much is going on. I'll be heading to my parents house with my bro at around 2pm, so I'll just be hanging out there most of the day. I think my Mom is making turkey and some other stuff. Should be good. I'll load up on turkey and sweet potatoes. I haven't had a cheat meal in a long time, so this will taste good.

Sweet Potatoes!!! :head: :head: :head:

I look forward to my Grandma's every year! I'd rather have them than dessert, so that's what I do!

Ya, I'm excited. I'm debating taking a dose of P-Slin with the meal. I guess it could only help.

I forgot to mention to everyone that I'm in DOMSville this morning and probably through today and tomorrow. These workouts are amazing! I'm loving it. I think I've really got a great routine right now that will hopefully yield some incredible results.

I love DOMSville. Sometimes I'll drive out of my way just so I can pass through that place, maybe even U-turn a couple times here and there just for the hell of it.

Keep that internet posing site idea on the back burner.

haha, well, for now it is, but we'll never know what happens - or NEEDS to happen - in the New Years. :nono:

Day #7:

Hams/Abs/Swimming

Seated Leg Curls
Working sets: 100 * 15, 120 * 15, 140 * 15

Laying Leg Curls
Working sets: 100 * 15, 150 * 15, 150 * 15, 100 * 15

Glute Isolator
Working sets: 50 * 20 reps for three sets each leg [or a$$ cheek]

Crunches: 30, 30, 30
Hangling Leg Raises, 25, 20, 25
Machine Crunches: 25, 25, 30

.. due to not being able to complete my leg session the other day, I aimed for some Hamstring work alongside abs. Supersetted everything. Seated Leg Curls with Crunches; Laying Leg Curls with Leg Raises; and Glute Isolator with Machine Crunches. I still have not adjusted to the thin air up here, and found myself gasping from breath throughout my workout. Took me about 25 minutes, then I headed for the pool for another 15 minutes before Gold's closed @ 1PM.

.. I'm leaning UP ! Holy $hit, it's coming together, better than it has in a looong time; I'm hoping to get some pics up in a couple of days.

I regret to inform you that I am forced to discontinue using the Green MAGnitude .. at least for a while. The first couple of days, I used White Flood + Green MAGnitude pre-workout, and it caused some major discomfort, and I didn't know whether to blame the WF or GM. The past three workouts, I've used WF pre-workout, and my stomach has been fine throughout my workout [honestly, semi-fine], but then no less than ten minutes (if even that) after consuming my Green MAGnitude post-workout, I find myself on the pot .. time and time and time again .. After three consecutive work outs like this, I am convinced GM is what is causing it.

.. I do have a somewhat sensitive stomach by nature, but it's rare that I react as bad as I have to the GM. Has anyone else had any similar experiences? With GM or any other product?

Have you tried using digestive enzymes? It's possible that they may help somewhat.

That's odd that GM causes such issues for you. I don't really know what's in it that would cause that. Just some flavored creatine stuff and amino acids. Weird...

That's good to hear, Viking! Did you recently change up the diet for this log?

This is my last bit of a moderate/higher calorie diet. I'll be cutting my carbs starting mid-January, and replacing them with more vegetables. By mid-February, I hope to have my carbs at around 80g/day, coming from 1cup of oats (60g), and the rest veggies.

I've got a lady-friend coming in March, so I've gotta look goooood. :D

Not using anything but Amylase to help carb-absorption with a couple meals of the day .. no other digestive enzymes to mention. But weird thing is, I've never found myself in need of using digestive enzymes on the side .. on Keto diets, I used some additional Fiber, but that's about it. And like I mentioned, the timing of my stomach troubles and my GM dosing matches .. I don't know how to explain it, it just irritates my stomach ..

No sir, have not changed anything .. but it's clean eating; real clean, although the carbs are higher. It's true what they say, Oats does not make one fat .. I feel like my body is responding real well to the rather significant amount of oatmeal I eat. Also, pasta/rice has been subsituted with potatoes since I came up here; I don't know how to cook potatoes (really, how the f*ck do I get them not-crunchy?!), so I always endulge in them when I visit my family .. My mom cooks potatoes with just about every kind of meat there is ..

And damn, dude .. 80 grams/day !? I guess it's being 'safe,' but depending on how hard you'll be dieting at that point in time, all the stress on your body from excessive training/cardio/dieting is a [more than likely] definite libido reducer; it was in my experience anyway. I looked better than ever @ 5-6%, but didn't really have the sex drive to match it .. That doesn't even make sense unless you can put yourself in my shoes .. But as long as you're not killing yourself with the dieting/training aspect of it, you'll be fine .. And we all know about the abundance of libido boosting compounds if necessary ..

Thats funny you say that viking. That makes alot of sense. Last time I was dieting real hard my libidio seemed, well less than my normal quagmire status. Is it just the amount of stress you have on your body and lack of nutrients to support that activity??

Lack of nutrients .. partially; I mean, it's about the hormonal balance. When you're dieting, you go into a hormonal whack; tons of stresses on your body from tons of dieting and training, without sufficient amounts of nutrients to support your hormones .. [without additional Testosterone] When dieting, your Testosterone levels are bound to decrease/reduce, and cortisol will in many instances increase as well ..

.. I guess in a sense, it's a combination of two factors; lowered testosterone [hormonal imbalance] alongside of having your mind off of sex to begin with; when dieting, my mind tends to lean towards nothing but training, dieting, and how good my results are getting and how quick I'm getting to where i want to be. Libido diminished each and every hardcore dieting run I had .. But hey, with the Alpha Male mentality of achieving your 'perfect body,' you're just too in love with yourself to care .. LOL ..

...

First of all, at this point in my life, I don't see a decrease in libido as a bad thing.

Secondly, my next stack includes 6caps of MMV2 ed, along with 2.4g of 1-C at night and in the morning.

I don't see my libido going anywhere but up, regardless of my diet...

By far the greatest motivational force that is ! Invalid Link Removed

It honestly is.

I'm going to hit Hams/Shoulders/Calves/HIIT right now! :D
Training on Weihnachten? I like it. I don't skip workouts for anything!
I've got HIIT cardio in about half an hour. Then it's on to the celebrating!! :head:

If the gym is open, we have no excuses!

Yesterday was an off day for me, and that's when my family decided to celebrate anyways since my brother was off of work, so it worked out perfectly. I'm just sitting at the house by myself right now, about to make some coffee and watch a movie.

Just got back from my workout. Updates in a bit.

Every gym around town here in Grand Junction, CO, is closed today. I'm glad, because I need to recover after the past three training sessions .. DOMS from top to toe; ahhhh, what a fantastic feeling !!! :head:

Ya, I'm still in DOMSville. I really had to push through my Delt workout today. It was rough. I was already real sore, I think from hitting Chest the other day. I did Incline Bench, and that works delts quite heavily.

Hams weren't too bad, but I didn't do as many sets for them as I do for everything else. These workouts are discouraging me because they take longer to complete. I hate that. I think I may actually start supersetting the two muscle groups every day. That would probably cut my time in half. I may as well take advantage of the endurance from BlueGENE, right?

From the Blue Gene .. from the White Flood tabs .. from the GG .. Yes, your stamina should be jacked by now, so experiment with the addition of supersets occasionally; not only will you be able to breeze through it thanks to this combo, but you'll reap the benefits of shocking/surprising your body with some drastic variation.

Oh, and the less time spent in the gym, the more time spent recovering and getting your nutrients in . . . :food:

I'll start the superset routine this coming Monday.

Day 8

Today was Day 3: Delts/Hams/Calves

Atlantis Lateral Raise: 70x22,21,17, 75x16,15,15,13,14
BB Front Raise: 30x18,16,16,15,14,15,13.5,14
Prone Leg Curls: 65x20,17,17,17,14,15,13, 70x14
DB SLDL: 50x12,12 (I don't really like this exercise. It was working my back way too much, so I won't be doing it anymore)
Standing Calf Raises: 50x14,14,15,15, (Four other sets were done, but they don't appear to be recorded. I guess my mind was elsewhere)
HIIT: 12 intervals on Spin Bike @ 30/30

It was a decent workout, but I was not that focused. My mind was constantly in other places.

With that said, I'm still noticing the effects of BlueGENE quite well. Even in my unfocused state, I notice that my muscle endurance is much higher, and I'm more on the ball with starting each set quickly and intensely.

GlycerGROW is still giving me the same pumps and vascularity it has been all along. I really love this stuff!

GreenMAG I'm certain has definitely added to some of my endurance, but it's hard to pinpoint its effects quite yet. Hopefully I will start to see my strength rise on my Olympic days due to the creatine content.

WhiteFLOOD is definitely giving me some great pumps and energy, and I'll probably start taking 10-12 tablets each day next week, rather than 8.

On a side note, I'm honestly kind of getting real tired of the Lipotropic protein; its thickness is bothersome, and goes down like a batter even when you use a lot of water. I'll be glad when it's finished and I can buy some more ATW Isolate. If you guys were unaware, Lipotropic protein is Gemma, not Whey, which is why it's so thick. It's a good protein, just doesn't fit my taste.

I hope all of you are having, or have had, a wonderful Christmas! Mine was great. I celebrated last night with most of my immediate family (with the exception of my sister, my brother-in-law and my nephew).

My computer went busto earlier this week, and I had been using my brother's during that time. I didn't say anything to my parents or my brother about this, and yet I unwrapped a new laptop last night that my parents bought me. Woot. It couldn't have came at a better time.

...along with a new French Press (8 cup), a couple travel books, a couple shirts, and some other fun goodies. :)

Awesome job getting the work out in still, Irish! I know how it is when you just can't put your mind into it. I've had it like that the past three workouts here in CO, and it's frustrating, yet I keep pushing through .. Today was an OFF day for me, thankfully, and it turned in to as 2-3 hour long cardio session, outdoors with the family. There's more snow here in Grand Junction than we've had in years, apparently. It's hella fun.

Like you, I'm a big fan of the White Flood. I'll be upping it to 3 scoops pre-workout starting tomorrow, so I'll more than likely run out sometime a little early January. I'll probably be picking up the tabs then .. save my stomach some potential troubles and just choke down pills ! I'm sitting here sipping on my Green MAGnitude as I'm writing this, not yet willing to discontinue it. Hoping my stomach will bare it now .. I'll find out. GlycerGrow is benefiting me in the same manner as you, and I'll be starting some dosing experimentation starting tomorrow; 6-9 scoops intra-workout. Due to having had some awful workouts here in CO, I can't rate the Blue GENE just yet. I ran a bottle in November (thanks to RenegadeRows), and I loved the heightened sense of well being, the increased focused and mind/muscle connection in the gym .. I'm hoping my body can adjust to the thin air soon such that I can have some more hard core sessions ASAP, and get to 'feel' the Blue GENE again.

Oh, and Irish, my parents surprised the hell outta me, too; when all the presents had been unwrapped, and we were cleaning up, my mom brought me a final gift. Unwrapped it, and $hit, a laptop ! I'm very grateful for that; college life is so much easier with one!

That's why I opted for the tabs...The less powders, the better!

Perhaps you should try sipping on the GM pre/intra/post workout. That would probably help you out a bit rather than sucking it all down at once.

Ya man, it's great! I'm sitting on the sofa right now watching TV while on AM. It's niiiiiice.

:goodpost: Plus... the more time you spend training, the less intense it gets. Make it short & and because hypertrophy does call for big volume then supersetting is definitely a way to go Irish

Thanks, Dragonfly! I'll be sure to start the supersetting on Day 1 of next week.

You're so smart. :p

Viking,

Split your GM doses up. Half scoops, even quarter scoops throughout the day to make your allotted one serving.

It's the magnesium, some people are really sensitive to that. IF you split up the doses you won't experience that.

Awesome log so far. Hope everyone had a merry and safe christmas.

Ho ho ho, almost time to change my avatar.

Day 9

I woke up a little late today, around 7:55am. I felt like sleeping in a little bit, so I did. I was kind of dragging a little this morning. It was taking me a long time to get started.

I decided not to have Lipotropic protein this morning and had some of the ATW Lean and Fit...bad idea! That was even sludgier than the LG stuff. Oh well.

I had a fairly good workout today. Here's how it went...

Day 4: Quads/Traps/Olympic Upper Body

Leg Extensions: 150x23,21, 170x18, 175x16,16, 180x16, 185x15,16
BB Hack Squats: 95x16,12, 115x12,13,13,12,12,12
BB Shrugs: 135x21,20,18,18,17,15,15,15 (2 sec hold at top)
Flat Bench BB Press: 155x15, 175x10, 205x6, 215x4, 220x3, 225x4
Clean & Jerk: 95x*, 115x5, 135x3,3,4, form work (first set I just blasted through, I didn't even keep track of the numbers)

As always, everything was done in a slow and controlled movement. BB Hacks were down a little from the last time I performed them, but I think that was just from the eight sets of extensions I pre-exhausted my quads with.

Although it doesn't look it, the bench press numbers are actually quite good. Over a weeks time, I've added 15lbs and 1 rep. Last week I only got up 210x3, so not too bad there.

Clean and Jerk is something I still need to work on. I got a guy in the gym to record a video for me so I could ask you guys some questions on it. I know I need to be getting under the bar after the snatch, and almost bring it down into a front squat, but my wrists were giving me trouble today. After the video was taken, I had the guy help me out with some of the technique (he played football in college), so hopefully I can get another video next week showing my improved form. On this video I'm almost doing a hybrid high row/jerk movement. Haha.

Week 1 Picture Updates

It looks as though I'm recomping rather well. Arms look better, and I'm starting to lean out a little where that stubborn fat holds on to my abdomen.

Damn, broski, you're leaning up big time ! $hiiiit, you're gonna be ON SPOT come mid-March !

.. so no Christmas treats? No cheating, period? In this season, I don't see how you can't .. lol

Thanks, man.

I had some turkey, sweet potatoes (somewhat sugary kind), corn, green beans, mashed potatoes...once on Christmas eve and leftovers on Christmas. I didn't gorge myself on the stuff, other than the turkey. Probably 300cals per meal along with 200mg P-Slin each meal. :) - So, ya, hardly any cheating.

Day #9

AM Cardio:

- 30 minutes of swimming

* 10 lengths [25 meters each] X 4 sets [2 minute rest in between each 10 lengths]
* stretching, leg kicks, etc

Thanks, man.

CHEATER, CHEATER !!!

.. hahahah, damn, bro, impressive feat! It's a Norwegian tradition to cook up about 5-6 different kinds of Christmas cookies, and my mom tends to take it all out as she's got 5 kids to feed, so I won't hide the fact that I've endulged in some of those crackers/cookies from time to time .. and time again.

.. which is why I've kept my cardio religiously in the AM. And 'snacks' are kept to a very minimum.

I'm weird about my diet, man. When I flew in to Chicago, the first thing I did after I rented a car was go to the grocery store before settling in at my aunt and uncle's place. Hahaha.

It's 'simply' called dedication; and you reak from it, my friend ! :head:

I ended up changing my diet tonight a little...

No rice/pasta in Meal 5. So, in other words, I've started to drop carbohydrates a little.

Weight - ?!

.. like I said, today was above and beyond ! My older brother once again worked out with me, and it makes me bust my a$$ every time. He's worked his butt off all semester long; gained over 1 inch on his arms since September, and his strength has been soaring. It was AWESOME to work out with him today; his newfound pushing himself to the damn limit inspired me to work harder than I have since I got to Colorado, and I'm looking forward to another two weeks of working out with him!

.. So, compared to a week ago, I went up 20 lbs on Barbell Military Presses for 8 reps; last week, I did 185 * 8 reps, today I breezed out 185 * 12, followed by 205 * 8 reps; Can't complain there!

.. moved on to Arnold Presses, and last week, I stuck with 50s for 10 reps each, today I was using 70s for three sets of 8 reps each. AFTER the Military Barbell Press, these impressed me even more. I had quite a bit of fire up my a$$ today !!!

.. Reverse Pec-dec Flyes with 250 [whole stack] for three sets of 9-12; pretty damn close to a Personal Record.. And the final set with 3 negatives; holy $hit, it tore up my upper lats/posterior deltoids.

.. Upright Rows are getting more and more powerful; 135 is no business for me anymore; it's merely a pu$$y weight I need to exceed next weeks Deltoid session ! Next week, I'm aiming for 155 for 12 reps; I will NOT fail !

.. Seated Shrugs with 150s supersetted with Front Dumbbell Raises; one helluva way to finish. I was working out in 3 t-shirts and a wollen shirt under than, so I was ready to hit the lockerroom for a posedown; I was VERY pleasantly surprised what I was looking back at; veins popping outta my delts; traps stretching up my neck without flexing them; leaner stomach than I've had since .. Summer .. Damn, I've got to get my hands on a new camera, my Canon began shooting blurred pics only, and that makes it not worth shooting any pics. I'm leaning the F*CK up, and can't wait for more !

Dang Viking, intense shoulder work.
