You can try ashwagandha supplement. I find it has a calming effect for me. I get it from Olympus Labs but have seen it in stores as well

I’ve heard mostly good things about it. Haven’t tried it for myself though. puccah8808 you can also try essential oils. I started using them on my son last year after all of the bully/anxiety issues. Doterra makes a blend called serenity that has several calming oils in it. It really surprised me how much it helped him and even carried over into the next day!

You are not supposed to enjoy a deep tissue massage. If it does not hurt you are getting ripped off! You should actually have a little acute inflammation from them which restarts the recovery process. Calling it a massage just gives the wrong impression, massages are supposed to feel good, and relaxing. That is not the goal of soft tissue massage at all, it is more of a treatment than a massage.

Sunday I did have a weird bout where my right hand started hurting me right along the base of my palm and radiating up my hands. I couldn’t close my fist completely or hardly use my hand.

Guessing it was carpal tunnel?? I’ve had issues in the past but more short/sharp pains and minor numbness. I avoided any exercises that hurt too much on chest and did more machine work bc I could leave my hand open.

Middle of the night/early Tuesday morning I was sleeping on my stomach and moved my arm from above my head to beside me and hand towards my lower back...felt and ice cold feeling run up my forearm/arm. Nerve must’ve released. I could squeeze my hand again! Lol

Took Tuesday off to avoid having to pull so early. But hand feels pretty much fine now. It was a good week of workouts minus the switch up. I trained chest Monday, back Wednesday, shoulders Thursday, and then legs today.

I get that problem but normally early mornings. I will wake with my arm feeling swollen, heavy as a lead pipe, completely numb, and ice cold. About 10 mins later I get a tingy needle pain in my arm, and by the time I am having coffee it feels normal again
Literally cant move it except with my other arm, and then it just falls back to the side again. Once it starts tingling then I can move it, and open and close my hand.
 
I have carpal tunnel bad and its more of an achey pain from the fingertips up through the elbow. On bad days it goes all the way to the shoulder and hand randomly goes numb but the pain/ache stays. Doesnt sound like what you had. It sucks though
 
Yeah it was crazy and unlike any other issues I’ve ever had from carpal tunnel! It hurt pretty dang bad! Lol I never thought carpal tunnel would hurt like that. Who knows what it was! I didn’t do anything to stress it or overwork it. Just odd! Praised God when I felt that release though!!!

Doesn't sound like carpal tunnel it sounds like a pinched nerve being entrapped by a knot somewhere in the muscle.

That is not normal, go see someone! I would be willing to put money on it that has to do with how you are sleeping too! Sleeping on your side is no bueno for your shoulders at all. Neither is sleeping on your stomach with your arms up over your head. Your body weighs more and sinks in while your arms are lifted up higher in the sockets into impingement... I good chiro could probably go a long way toward helping that. Probably in your neck or trap since your entire arm feels heavy.

Oh man I have had mine inflamed before so I guess temporary carpal tunnel and ache from the hand all the way up into the back of the shoulder sucks!!!

And grows on it too! What is with all these bumps and discoloration going on as we get older. Seems like I notice something I hadn't seen before all the time now...

Was wondering if you could recommend a good easy to follow program for her? Shes got lifting experience but the bulk of it was crossfit where the workout was written out for her every day and has a hard time coming up with stuff

Even had a regular come in as I was leaving and he said he hardly recognized me I’ve lost so much weight. (Although it’s only been a little scale weight. It was VERY encouraging to know the changes are noticeable.
