Kat and Puccah's Strong is the new sexy log

Ok, so I am going to start running a lot, but I'm a little scared because the last time I did crazy cardio, my a** disappeared and my legs shrunk. I don't want to lose any of the gainz that I've made but I need to be able to run 3 miles. Any advice?!

hill sprints. If you can run sprints in succession for 20min, 3mi is a cake walk. Your recovery will be so fast that you won't even get tired when jogging.

A few years ago I trained for a race like this and towards the end of my training I was playing entire 60min ice hockey games with my breaks being switching from offense to defense for a shift. I ran the 5k obstacle race at basically a slow sprint in like 19min. Best cardio shape I've ever been in.

Jeeeeesus!!! That's awesome!!! I've only ran 3 miles once and that was at my lowest weight. It was effn torture but then I got this runners high and it felt amazing! Freaking A, I was just thinking that there's no hills around me, but then I realize my work is by the river and I have to go over the hill to see it. I guess I'll be running up that hill at lunch time and before work. :D thank you!

it doesn't have to be steep. Longer is actually better then really steep because you don't wanna only sprint for like 5sec. Just run hard. Start by sprinting what you can and slowly work your way until you can sprint the whole hill. Once you can, start cutting into the recovery time by jogging back down instead of walking.

A big ass set of stairs works well too...and will build up dat ass even more for sure ;)

Haha, that's def what I want! :D this hill is pretty steep but it's about a few miles long. Maybe I can run up and down for half a mile. I'll take a pic tomorrow when I go to work. I've ran up before and its pretty intense. Running down made me feel like I was going to topple over.

Lol, can you believe that my gym has an elevator for just 2 floors?!? Being the lazy bum that I am, I've taken it after a heavy leg day. :D

You've got this! That's not too difficult!...Sprint those hills at lunch! You'll get it in no time!
 
Good morning! Happy Thursday! I decided to rest yesterday and not do cardio as on the list... I have been run down with the cakes and all. It's hitting me pretty hard today too... Not getting to bed until 11:45 on Tuesday night and then after 12 last night. Today was a lift day so I was up by 4:30...wasn't too tired at first but quickly lost steam towards the latter part of my workout.

Haha, you guys are horrible! I was wrong, there's actually 5! They're not really thick but for $9, you can't beat it. I decided to grill them myself and it took me a little bit to figure out how to start it. Eeeeeeek, I hope I'm doing it right.

There doesn't seem to be enough time in a day but I kinda like it that way. I have a lot going on these days, but I rather stay busy than sit around and watch the day pass by.

I haven't been logging much of my workouts either because well.... it's monotonous to me.
I was a little irritated today so I took my a** to the gym. I focused a lot on some hip work and shoulder work. It was also cardio day so after the gym, I went to sprint up and down the hill.

Aghhhhhh, I just watched the PT test on YouTube. I'm a bit discouraged, I'm not going to lie. I'll have to train all weekend long.
