i sure hope your not refering me to the 60year old in the pic above...thats one of the guys I train. Just steps away from being the strongest +60 year old in history (regardless of feds, rules, drug use(he's clean), OR BODYWEIGHT).

anyway thats not me.
Im pretty sure your name is chris, you are not old and i was referring to the 1) poster and 2) your prep. lol.

When you follow a log of a guy who knows what he's doing and moves retarded weight you just sit back and throw down the occasional positive remark. Im not going to try tell you how to get bigger arms or give you advice lol.

Weighed 218 last night and down to 201.8 now. Tried to go to bed and wake up early to cut the last 4lbs....but i just can't sleep. All i'm doing is just thinking of carbs and water nonstop. SERIOUSLY i can't sleep because of that. SUCKS

Sorry to keep anyone waiting…Just busy with getting things broken down and all the paperwork following the meet. I hope to have time to do a full write up by next weekend…hope.

Meet Went GREAT! A real success with around 40 lifters. Had some real good ones as well.

My cut was successful. On Thursday I stayed up all night in my homemade sauna and dropped exactly 20lbs to weigh in at 89.9kilo’s (198lbs). Then (while weight lifters in and setting up the for the comp) I rehydrated and put all 20lbs back on within 12hrs. Actually cut a total of 28lbs as I was 226 just weeks before the comp.

I was SHOT at this point and finally got some rest as I had not slept the night before with cutting weight. Got about 6hrs sleep then it was up to get prepared for the meet.

The usual running around with my head cut off all day directing and competing all with little to no sleep and my body/mind having been run through wringer last 48hrs. Crazy stuff but I’m a crazy man.
Squats
804 Good
849 Reds. Cut it high
849 good

Bench
573 good
623 good
649 Reds. Couldn’t lock it. To slow of a descent messed me up…had shirt to jacked.

Deadlift
722 good
782 Red. Pulled but some bar whip gave me a slight downward movement halfway up.
782 Good. Same thing but just paused this time then completed lift.
Deads felt easy but think I wasn’t pulling back enough. maybe could have done better on warmups...315x3, 585x1, 660x1...platform :D

Total 2254 @ 198. Raising the American AAPF record by 140lbs and putting me 4th in the all time rankings at 198. Although performance looks silly after what Frankl pulled off this weekend at 198.

I need to do someone else's meet soon as I felt I left at least 150lbs on the platform Saturday if I wasn't trying to do everything.

i would really like that as I would only be 6lbs off the all time record as it is...however i ended up cutting a total of 28lbs this time to make weight.

We will see. i've had it in my head that I might try and make a run at the 181's on one or two occasions at best....but that would be such a huge stretch for me.

Did a short workout last night. Tweaked my back as the box was way to low and my right leg caved and back went sideways and made a loud pop/cracking. It wasn’t painful and more like a chiropractor crack so I kept going. Little sore today.

Squat off foam box (think it was 12-13”)
160x10
250x5
340x5
430x1 added briefs and belt and this is where I cracked my back
520x3x5
570x3x4

Leg Press
865x12x12

Then I cut it short because my wife came out and made it very clear she was unhappy I wasn’t taking the week after the meet off (spent last two evenings moving all equipment back into gym and changing the layout). Think I may have to skip Saturday AM workout to stay out of trouble.

Monday – Squat Day
Making some changes to my stance to try and give me some more pop out of the hole and more stability with being light and trying to squat heavy. With that in mind I’m also doing a low foam box squat cycle so the weights lifted will be smaller during this next training cycle.

Foam box squats – pause into foam

Skipping my morning session tomorrow.

9/19 AM
Just a couple days off from my morning Conditioning sessions and I got a nice strength bump…and I was not expecting it as I worked for 12 hrs yesterday, then did a rush pack job and hit the road with no dinner. Stopped by a friends house on the way and had a couple cold slices of pizza for only my third meal of the day then drove for several more hours before reaching the in-laws. Crashed and then woke up early to hit the gym before the wife and baby woke. Went to the gym with no food in me for 12hrs and bags under my eyes.

Enough story time.

BIG PR for me today. Made some changes to my technique last deadlift session and got to test it today. I used this same exact setup leading up to my 801 pull and using just briefs I got up to 760(lockout weight) but failed on several attempts at 800lbs…Never really even came close on those attempts.

I don’t remember a lot of the warmup weights
Worked up to the mid 600’s without a belt

Had the 24hr flu on Monday. Didn’t sleep much that night as I was in excruciating pain. Slept for some time on the bathroom floor and the kitchen floor. Just couldn’t move. Needless to say I missed Mondays squat day. Luckily a group of lifters couldn’t make it Monday and so I had some people to train with on Tuesday. Didn’t work Tuesday but felt better by Tuesday afternoon so it was on.

Foam box squats

I was done at the 710 but my training partner hit 735 for a single so I couldn’t let that stand. I’m glad I did it as it felt much better than the 710.

Romanian Deadlifts

Week is off to a bad start…Sick baby…cat is tore up and needs to see vet…and now I’m tore up.

Leg press

Felt like the sled was going to come right through me so I racked it.

Tried to stand up and fell over because my leg wouldn’t hold me.

I can walk and stand fine but I can’t use stairs or even step up on a curb with it. Very strange as I’ve never had knee problems and don’t know what to think at this point. No bruising or swelling but its definitely tweaked out. Will be trying to get in to see my doc tonight.

What a ****ty start to a week. Know I’m supposed to have a good attitude but it sucks so far.

Knee is doing well. Got in and had some Active Release Therapy the next day, and have been icing regularly. The ART made a big difference and got rid of my limp so I can walk fine now. It appears to be just some micro tears in the Vastus medialis, primarily where it attaches on the knee side. As of today I can walk up stairs again but still having to do a one leg shuffle down stairs. I have ART scheduled again tonight and on Saturday. If it works as well as the one session did on Tuesday I will likely have this whipped quickly. After that will have to determine some prehab work to strengthen the area to prevent recurrence….probably shouldn’t have quite doing those Terminal Knee Extensions I was doing early this year.

Powermag is out. If you haven’t yet you should.
http://www.supertraininggym.com/powermag.html

Had a total of 3 Active release sessions done this week (last one after this mornings training session) recoving fairly quickly but still just recovering. I can walk up stairs but not down without pain. Knee was throbbing after a 20min walk last night with my son.

Wife laid down the law today and demanded that next week be a full deload week with no training.

This morning

Standing Wheel O’ Death x8x8x8

Setting up a gym at my work for the employees. It is cool. It will cost the employee’s $9/month and all the funds will go back into buying new equipment and upgrading.
So far have
Set of Lockers
Bathroom attached (closet shower to be added in near future)
Stall mats on the floor
EliteFTS knockoff powerrack w/1” hole spaceing and pullup bar
Flat Bench
Small dumbbell set
Olympic Dumbell handles
8x8 Deadlift Platform
Dip/leg raise stand
Standard oly bar, curl bar, tricep bar
I’ll probably house my ‘Warmup’ monolift there as well.
Currently have my reverse hyper there but think I will take that back home as I’ll have room for it again when I move the ‘warmup mono’ out.

Nothing to special yet but a nice little place that will only get better. Adding foam for box squats and ordering some bands today (one of the guys at work is an Ex-trainee and will likely be working with some other people to show them some true lifting techniques)

I didn't know that. Very cool. I was on the Wellness Committee at my last company and drove a number of positive things. Couldn't get the gym done there due to space constraints.

I work for a small company now (75 employees), and with it being smaller its much more flexible to make things like this happen...of course being a company Director helps as well :)

I work for a small company now (75 employees), and with it being smaller its much more flexible to make things like this happen...of course being a company Director helps as well :)

You don't want a "mono"lift....you want a SUPERlift!!!

YouTube- SuperTrainingGym.com Super-Lift

The SUPERlift is simply the most Versatile lifting device available for serious strength athletes. This Device is absolutely the best option for meet directors and training studios where multiple pieces of equipment and using additional space are not desirable.

Comes complete with competition bench attachment and PR™ maker pad.

- Combines the functions of a Competition Bench press, Power Rack, Competition Monolift, and more into one Device.
- Operates in BOTH directions Front Opening and standard Reverse direction.
- Quick adjustment to ANY position within range with total bar range of 7+ft!
- Hardened steel rollers for hooks. Easy bar positioning, and easy hook positioning.
o No lifting bar ends to adjust hooks.
- Adjustable amount of swing-out and setup for single spotter or no spotter operation.
- Hooks extend up to 4ft and face either direction providing headroom for bench liftoffs or low rack work.
- Band hooks for BOTH added tension and band deloading.
- Breakdowns in MINUTES with NO TOOLS, fitting in a pickup bed once done!!!
- 6' wide base for super wide squats
- Adjustable self spot attachments for squatting and Benching.
- Competition Safety Bench with a proprietary PR™ maker pad that maximizes locking upper back in position through multiple methods.

With the bar range, hook extensions, hook direction, swing-out, and hook width all being highly and quickly adjustable the applications that the SUPERlift can be used in are just barely being explored.
