Not a bad session. Really didn’t want to get out of bed this morning, but glad I did.

That’s how it usually goes when it’s hell getting up. If you can actually get there, everything is great by the end. Just wish it wasn’t so darn hard sometimes!

Late night at work last night (and thinking another tonight). Ended up sleeping right through the alarm this morning.

Gonna try to break out some time this evening, but will depend on how nightmarish the rest of my day is.

My app is apparently busted (I’m still using the OG AnabolicMinds app instead of Tapatalk), so I can’t quote you guys (or type numbers) without it turning into an emoji clusterfuck.

I finally deleted the app the other week. Felt like a little piece of me died lol. It is time. Kill it Jim!

I'm not a big fan of change, new phones, firmeware updates, schedule interruptions, or screaming kids on airplanes.
I would say I am pretty okay with the first 3 but make up for it with extreme annoyance with screaming or crying kids on a plane, or any confined space I am in for that matter.

I spent an hour this morning waiting for my desktop to figure out life after the scheduled windows update last night, then my outlook crashed, lol. I usually use my phones for YEARS until they basically brick out on me, which I'm convinced is a conspiracy theory. I swear buying a new phone sometimes is worse than buying a car lol

Been a minute since I’ve been in the gym (probably weeks) between the flu and an absolute shitshow deal that finally closed this morning.

Gonna try for legs in the AM. Gotta get back on course.

the tapatalk app did a weird update on me and started throwing more ads in, and 5 second ads just to view threads but once I got used to that and a few glitches got fixed it's working well for me again. this is one of the few forums it actually works ok on for me.

Yeah, the app lately has been really annoying between all the video ads and having issues posting pics lately.

I log my workouts at the gym on the talkatap app so after I finish my rep/set I can enter it inbetween sets if there is a rest period etc rather than trying to remember it later, or entering it into two separate apps redundantly and yeah I've had some questionable video ads pop up! the algo knows me, lol

Hope all is going well in your world Jim!

Been a while since I checked in. Have been doing my own thing diet wise this year (needed to save money), and have been making some solid progress.

Still training with Paul Carter’s groups, but switch a few months back to his new Iron Pulse group which is 5x a week with short sessions on Thu-Fri-Sat. Has been way better for me to fit that around my work schedule.

On the tail end of a cut now, sitting at between 188-190 fasted in the morning (down from close to 210 in January). Eyeball test would have me somewhere in the 13-15% range (down from 193 @ 18% at my dexa 2 months back).

Done with the bulk/cut thing. Once I’m sufficiently lean, I’ll move to just maintaining leanness year round and pushing progressive overload. Should still be able to build solid muscle that way and not ever have to get truly restrictive again diet-wise.

Good to see you back Jimbo; looking good brother. Glad you’ve found a strategy that’s working for you and that you’ve stayed in the gym.

Gonna try to stick around pretty regular going forward. Might not be regular session updates, but at least some physique stuff and keeping up with you guys’ logs.

Holding quite a bit of water today. Was in Michigan for a funeral and had to drive overnight last night, so need to shed some of the off plan food any midnight “I need to stay awake on this overnight 10 hour drive” snacks, but thought even with that, the progress in these pics versus my last ones is crazy noticeable.

New mesocycle starts on Monday, so should have a pretty easy acclimation week next week. Might take the opportunity to do some post-session near RM testing on the big lifts just to see where I’m sitting in those.

Probably won’t do true maxes, but a good heavy single just to see.

DO IT! Should be pretty safe if you leave a little in the tank. Gives you a good idea of what you’re capable of on a decent day, without cooking you the way a ragged edge max would.

Ended up straining my right hamstring at a charity football tournament on Saturday, so might still try some of the upper body lifts, but think squats are out lol

solid progress dude, and I totally know what you mean...

🔥 🔥

Giving BPC-157 and TB500 a run to see what that does for the hammie and my old man joints. Came in yesterday (with a prescription even lol). 200mcg BPC and 300mcg TB daily.

Good to see you back on here, and that is the best I have seen you look! Great job! Hope those peptides do the trick!

Thanks! Finally making some decent progress now that I’m settled in. Chest and arms still need work, but hard to feel too bad about one-hundred ninety lbs with abs.

Right, looks like the meal prep keeps your diet in check pretty well so as long as you get to train you will keep getting better and better.

Training going well. Hit legs on Tuesday. Didn’t push it on hamstring curls or back squats, but was able to do the exercises without pain, which felt like a win.

Starting to get some veins poking through on my legs, which is neat (and a first for me), so diet seems like it’s going well.

Gonna get nice and lean just in time to fly to Japan for three weeks starting Tuesday night, so will have to start all over again in mid-December lol

Sounds like things are going well, recovery, new veins, and a Japan trip coming up!

Lost a bunch of hard-earned weight during me long vacation. Sitting around 178-180 fasted, but back on the saddle again and hoping the muscle comes back fast so I can get back on the road to 220 lean.

Bro I was truly thinking about you yesterday, wondering what you were up to. Where did you go, or did you just stop lifting around the holidays or something?

I was in Japan from like Thanksgiving until mid-December. Have been back in the gym since I got back, but diet has been spotty with the holidays and work chaos from the extended vacation.

Ended the first week of a fairly aggressive mini-cut. Expecting to add about a hundred cals a week for the next couple of months to trim some fat and work back towards maintenance.

Week one was something like thirteen hundred below maintenance.

bro likes to drop in once a month to let us know he's still a badass fire breather

Gonna try to be a bit more consistent this year with updates. Depending on how I look post-workout Saturday, may try for some progress pics.

And felt pretty good about the squat last week. Was always a wide-stance, low-bar squatter when I powerlifted, so the weight on the high-bar with twenty degree ramps felt pretty solid.

Especially after the low cal week and my bodyweight being down to in the mid-180s.
