Jdg's 26 Week Prep

Nice work bro. Try something next week and work chest top to bottom. Do all Incline stuff first then go to flat and then decline. This will get u the most out of the session. Blood flow purposes.

Thanks man, I will try that next time, I am following a certain routine that called for them in that order, but it shouldn't hurt to change it up ;)

I definately changed up my cardio tonight. My wife wanted to go with me. Well at my gym we have a closed off room with a big screen where you can do different cardio programs. She picked out a 20min step/stomp routine. I felt like I was doing some 80's Jane Fonda routine, but it worked! Even though my HR never got over about 100 BPM I sweat my ass off!! haha

What ever works right? :D

Haha my wife use to try to get me to go to Zumba with her. Just today another teacher who is kind of a Zumba instructor tried to get me to come to Zumba today. Lol I can't do it haha

Looking good man. You gonna be diced up!

Thanks my man!!

Ya my feet were hurting when I walked out. Too many sprints here lately to be stepping up and down and sideways and blah blah. Lol.

On the recumbent bike right. Figured I'd throw something out there. A friend graduated PTA school in October. She decided shed wait until now to take her boards. Said it'd give her 3 months to study. She studied on average 4-6 hours a day during the week. She found out last night she failed her boards!!! Makes me even more nervous to try again!!

All this cardio talk is making uneasy :) wife cardio that must be tough....

Haha, cardio at the gym is one thing with her, cardio at night, that's a whole different story :D

Mixed up the cardio this morning, a little eaiser on the joints.
10 Elliptical Cross Trainer .75 mile
15 min rec bike 2.75 miles

Quads were tight and sore, but worked up a good sweat.

My brother is coming to town this weekend and wants to train together, so I think this afternoon I will do some bis and ab work. Tomorrow will hit hammies hard. And then train with him Saturday. Going to work chest tris and shoulders. Ya he is trying to kill me!! haha

Killed my hammies today!! Took some extra taurine before my workout and will again tonight. I've noticed the days I get cramps in my inner thighs is on hamstring day.

SLDL- no lock out at top, constant tension
225 4 x 10

Lying Prone leg curls- worked on negatives, so up with both legs, negative with single leg- 3 sec negatives! OUCH!!
110 2 x 8
90 2 x 8 (4 negatives each leg each set)

Incline DB leg curls-
25lb 3 x 12

Standing leg curl- improvised with leg ext machine--- 30 sec rest
20lb 7 x 12 each leg

Seated Calf raises- 1 Sec Hold in contraction--- I made sure I stopped at the top before lowering it back down
2 plates 4 x 20

Leg press calf raises- 30 sec rest
180 7 x 12

Focus was good again today. Stayed in the zone and just kept pushing through. Gotta get them hams to start poppin!!

Headed to work in a bit. Will try to get some cardio in tonight.

That is a solid looking workout for sure. Seems you have been very focused lately - which can only be good.

Ya it is kind of funny. I know animis kind of got a bad rap with some people, although I never dealt with them. But I got a free bottle of OMNISCIENTI to log on another forum. I had been taking two in the mornings to help with studying, and then lifting a few hours later. I had just put two and two together, but I think the effects of the Omni are carrying over into my workouts, which would explain the focus? ;)

No cardio tonight, I think I have done 2 a days for two weeks straight now. Need an evening off ;)

Will do cardio after an arm workout tomorrow because I have to work 1-6 and then am going to take the family to see American Sniper tomorrow evening.

Sick movie.

So I think I found some music I want to do my routine to. I didn't want the normal everyday rock song, or another Lose Yourself eminem song, so I am going with a intrumental Hip hop. I found one on you tube that I like. I cut off about 10 secs off the beginning, and shortened it to a minute so I should be good to go. It starts off slow and goes into a medium pace through out.

Nice.

I used an instrumental for my routine. Bought it off iTunes and clipped the parts I wanted.

I have been mulling over the song Tusk as it is a really Primordial drum beat. It will be easy to time poses and has the intensity I am looking for. Bottom line is this is a chance to make an artistic statement about who you are and what you want to say.

This is what I'm looking at. Like I said I shaved the first ten seconds off. Opinions?

Ya it was kind of nice. My brother is coming to town and wants to train so I moved things around a little this week. It left today open so I though I will just get in a good bicep workout. Between it, some ab work, and 40mins cardio I had a hell of a sweat going on haha.

HA!! I'll never do this again! I put a couple scoops protein powder in my shaker cup, set it on the stove, and turned to grab my jug of water out of the fridge. When I turned I hit the cup! It fell off the stove, bounced and did a full 360, then landed right side up!! I may have lost a teaspoon of powder LOL.

Yup. Me and cardio hate each other !!!

Buy you a lottery ticket!!

Trust the journey. U got this. Keep doing what u are doing man. U will be ready

I'm down with that trust stuff ....

Thanks, I know I need to chill and just go with the flow. Things will fall in place.I did start T3 back up today. 25mg a.m. and 25mg p.m.

My brother came to town today so we got to train together. It was pretty cool because we only get to once or twice a year. His routine is way different than mine, but I followed along. He does very little volume and only one exercise per body part. He's a big lean mother though, so it must work for him. He hit chest flat bench, shoulders- machine shoulder press, and tris, rope pushdown. Did reps 15,12,8,6 4. The high light for me was hitting 315 x 4 on the flat bench!!! I am pretty sure that is a PR.
I brought my posing trunks with me and he helped with everything from the mandatorys to the standard poses. For any of you who haven't competed, getting back into posing and being able to hold them, is tougher than my workouts right now. My emdurance is way down!! I plan on taking my trunks with me and posing just about everyday I am at the gym. Once I get them down fairly well I will start working on my routine.

That's awesome! Glad you enjoyed your workout with him! I can only imagine how hard posing is! I get cramps just watching people pose on stage!!

Yea I'm practicing posing and transitions daily and I have a lot less than you so I can imagine how much harder u have it

Yeah they were pretty tough. On top of it, as soon as he would see me "shaking" during a pose, he would make me hold it even longer !! It was good though, I wish he was here all the time to help push me.

We all went out for dinner tonight. Except for the huge mug of Blue Moon ;) I had a pretty decent dinner. Steak, steamed veggies and a salad.
We went over my diet, changed up a few things, and am going to start sending him pics weekly. Even though I don't have a so called "coach" he is very close to one, plus he qualified for nationals and wants to push me as far as I can go, and then some..

My endurance sucks right now. Even on the "relaxed" 1/4 turn poses I had a hard time staying tight. We went through all the 1/4 turns twice, then the mandatorys several times. I have got to get them down though, your posing on stage can make or brake you, along with conditioning and symmetry.

Also I switched up some supplements. Bumping tren to 300/week and T3 to 50mg day, 25mg 2x day. Not going to carb cycle anymore, but have them pretty low, 150g +/- 10. Going to leave it there and see what happens the next week. I think adding in the t3 should let me keep my carbs up a bit without having to drop so low during the week. I weigh in Monday morning. I think I am down a lb or two from last week. My wife and brother both say I have lost a lot more weight than what the scales show, so that is a good sign.

Will do, seen them earlier but was on my phone and just skimming through the boards..

One other thing I have noticed is how much carbs affect me right now. When I went <20 carbs a day for a few days my definition in my arms, shoulders, and mainly legs was really good. Now after having 150-200 carbs a day for a few days I look a lot smoother. I need to keep that in mind so when I am a few weeks out I can carb up and see what I look like. I don't want to over do it the last few days before my show.

Yeah bb is so different from physique I really admire the work u are putting in and the amount of details you have to take into account

Last thing I'll say regarding diet. Find a layout and stick with it. You're going to start getting into the weeks that really matter and if you keep bouncing back and forth with your plan you'll end up taking steps backward

This is key advice.

Something kind of screwy. Woke up with my heart racing. Pulse 120... Went to do cardio. Did 20 Mins on the elliptical. Intervals level 4 tension 1, to level 10.tension 4 made 1.75 miles in twenty minutes. Here is the kicker. My HR got to 180 BPM. When I got off I did a slow walk on treadmill and could only get it down 135 BPM. I'll check it later when I'm just sitting still.

You taking a PWO? I know you started the T3 back up. Check your bp too. You upped the tren also correct? Probably need to back off on one of the them.

No preworkout, just a cup of coffee. Going to check bp later this morning. I upped the tren about a week and a half ago I believe. 200mg/week. Was going to up it and stay at 300/week starting today. 75mg eod. I've been back on T3 for a few days so that very well could be the culprit.

I've not used T3 so I can't comment on it but if you started it 3 days ago then yeah, it's most likely the culprit.
