Jdg's 26 Week Prep

I bring my elbows together rather than my hands this causes greater contraction in the pecs, I have to do full pronation for this to work properly though.
Yes I do the same. Same thing on pec Dec. Really push elbows together .

Right all db and cable exercises will benefit from bringing the elbows together instead of the hands. Just try it with nothing and you can feel the difference in tension. That's a great way to set your form by the way.

Your looking very solid, separation in your abs is slower than in other parts of your body. You show more definition in your legs than I would at this stage though. Just interesting how we have different area's where we excel. Also you have some veinage in your lower abs before you are showing separation in you abs from this pose. Still lots of time.

Yea I am still having a hard time remembering to flex "everything" in my poses. I still forget to flex my glutes in my back poses. Got some work to do.

Thanks for the critique though. It always helps for someone else to show were you need to work on ;)

Thanks girl!! Still got aways to go!! Sunday I will take new pics of the mandatory poses and post them. I've been taking pics everyweek, or trying to, to send to my brother so we can see whether I am progressing or not. Gotta keep dropping BF every week if I am going to make it ;)

I love the drive!

Yes, it's really good to latch onto a log where someone's prepping and feed of the intensity.

You all help push me too. It helps keep me more responsible for what I do by keeping a log.
Right now my motivation is very high! I hope to keep it there through out my prep.

Wasn't sure how my workout was going to turn out today. Got to the gym and started talking with the manager and one of the trainers. It just took a bit to get motivated to start lifting. Once I did though, it was on. Focus, strength and drive were all very high!!!

15 mins posing.

Not sure if it is the T3 or Tren but I sweat my butt off everytime I lift or do cardio now. I am really surprised no one has said anything, because I am the only one at the gym sweating like that? haha

Only got 10 mins cardio in tonight. My wife went with me and helped some with my posing tonight. Spent probably 10 mins going over poses so that was cardio in itself haha.

Ok so I am not making an issue about my weight or to worried about it but just throwing this out there haha.

I entered a weight loss challenge at my gym (mainly so my wife would do it with me ;) ) So I have been using their scales every Monday morning to weigh in. Their scales are about 2 lbs lighter than ours. I weighed with our scales this morning and going by them I am down 2lbs from Monday. I am still taking in between 2800-3000 cals a day. So hopefully the weight I am losing is all BF. I will take new pics Sunday and post here. I was 194 on Monday, so I am hoping to be at least 191 when I weigh in next Monday. I need to be under 176 come April 4th to be at the top of Middle weight. If not I will be in the bottom of light heavy which goes up to 198lbs. I really don't want to be in that class haha. That should be no problem at all though because it's only 15lbs lighter than what i am now.

I like where you cals are at, still lots of room for adjustments. You are on point.

You're doing great and looking great!! Really have everything on point!

No gym or cardio today. To make a long story short my mother-n-law has some pysch/anorexia issues and we spent the whole day out of town at the hospital with her.

I work 7-3 tomorrow so I will hit the gym hard after work tomorrow afternoon!!!

dang, weight classes are crazy. I wish I could compete...

Why don't you?

I don't know the first thing about how to even go about doing it. who to hit up or where I go or nothing. don't really have the money to travel too...

Read and see what's around you that's close. There aren't a lot of comps where I'm at but in surrounding states there is.

Pretty tired and weak tonight but I'll update my workout after I get something to eat.

Depends on where he is at when he decides to compete, if he picks one far enough out he can slowly lose BF and may do ok.

It is a mind ****, but dieting along is too. It all depends on how bad you want something.

First thing to do would be to look on the NPC website, or whatever organization you would want to compete in and see where there are shows this year. I know you said you didn't the money but a coach would be a good help. Although you wouldn't necesarily need one. I don't have one, but I do have a brother who has competed several times and he helps whenever I need it. ON the other hand though the first time I competed I had no one to help, I made up my own diet, routine, and practiced posing on my own.

It all depends on what you want to do, and how far you are willing to go, Competing isn't for everyone, but if you have the ambition and put your heart in to it , you could do it if you wanted.

Veins a poppin... you might have not felt strong, but your looking strong

Thanks wasme . I am starting to have more veins show on my shoulders and lower abs. Can't wait until I get ripped to see what I look like :D

Have you ever took a nap early evening and when you woke up you thought it was the next day?? I did that tonight! I must of really slept hard because when I woke my wife was coming in the front door and I told her I was going to do cardio with her this morning :( She looked at me funny and set it is still this evening, not tomorrow morning haha. I knew as soon as I started I was very strong tonight so I decided to do some higher reps. I stopped there, I just didn't have it in me. After thinking about it I know why I am so tired and weak tonight. First of all I sat in a hospital all day yesterday. All I had was eggs for breakfast, a big salad for lunch, and late last night I had chicken and broccoli. Then today I worked 7-3. Well I am not used to working morning shift so I was tired because of that, and then I still didn't have any carbs today because I didn't get to fix any. So I am eating salmon and rice tonight, and then will get some oats in for breakfast in the morning.

d.

I have no doubt he could do it I mean he went to 200 from a skinny ass 135 he's got the determination

For any of you who's never tried Kratom, 2 grams of Red Thai is better than .50mg xanax. ?

May be losing to fast. -3lbs since Monday. Granted I've had very little carbs. I'll take pictures later this mornin.

Sorry pics were a little blury. My 7 year old was taking them :)

Also did 20 mins cardio this morning. 10 min on treadmill level 6 speed 3. And ten minutes on stair climber level 8. That climber kicks my ass!!!

Hey bro quick question I haven't shredded down in a while but my abdominal fat especially lower abs has noticeably decreased with a week of my topical however my abs themselves don't seem as prominent? This happen to you before. Maybe I need to add in some weighted ab work so they pop more?

I don't do much weighted ab work but it wouldn't hurt. Your abs are like any muscle. If you use weigtts they will grow more.

Looking great!!! Leaning out fast!

I only do wheel of death does me wonders and the reason I have big block abs. So much pressure on the entire abdominal area. You're right though you abs respond to tension just like any other muscle does.

Not to worry some weeks will show more movement on the scales than others. Trust in the process you are right on track.

Hams were pretty pumped today, I can tell I haven't had much for carbs though, strength is down. Going to go one more day low carb then carb up on Monday.

the separation is amazing! Your back is off the hook too! The chest looks chizzled but the muscle belly doesnt look AS full as say the back... what are you doing for your chest right now?

and for the back. how often do you deadlift? do you go light or heavy or in between? towards the begining of the workout or towards the end?

Ya I have been pretty low carb all week and have noticed my chest doesn't look as full as it had. I am just doing the norm right now. DB flat, BB incline, flys etc.
As for my back I used to DL all the time. It was my favorite lift. I just started a routine that calls for deads. I do rack deads one week and deads from the floor the next. I normally do them at the beginning of my routine.
And thanks for the compliments man!
