It's fuggin here now old fuggers contest prep Extravaganza!!!!!!!

Doug just for sh!ts and giggles I would really like to see you try a few different things with your legs. I don't mean this in a negative way but when you spread your legs out away from your body it makes them look thinner and you are not getting the pop out of your quads that you need to really impress the judges.

On your front and rear relaxed as well as your FDB put your heals a couple inches apart with your toes pointing out at a 45 degree angle making a v, flex your quads tight, as in lock out those knees and flex. Some peoples leg development does not pop without doing this. I would really like to see the difference between your normal pose and doing these this way. I really think you will see a wider sweep and more seperation doing it this way. If I am wrong it is just 500kb of memory in your cam you are wasting, but if I am right it could be a huge difference in how your physique looks on stage.

Also on your side shots I would like to see you dip your legs down just a little bit more to really get the quads hamstrings and glutes engaged. Just lower yourself about another 1.5-2 inches and I bet you will see more detail and your legs will look larger. Remember to also push that front leg into the rear one so it spreads your hamstring out making your legs look much thicker front to back.

Other than that man you are really ripping up and have a lot of room too really fill in when you get your time to fill up on carbs. How many weeks out are we now? I would love to see you do a practice run of peak week around 4 weeks out. See how it goes and make adjustments if needed. If needed you can still do a second test run 2 weeks out to make sure the changes work as you expect. Just get with Steve and see what peak week approach he wants you to do unless you already know exactly what you are going to do to come in on the money.
 
I am 29 days out. I am starting to do the heels together thing, I picked up the same thing as you did.

I will try to bend my knees more on the side poses, that sound good.

Yah I want to see what the fdb looks like conventional my body has changed a lot so it may look better than I thought.

Quick question how much you weigh? What's your goal weight for weigh in?
 
Looking good Doug, I would like to see you raise your chest up higher in your Most Muscular, don't crunch down on your abs because you are not showing them due to hand positioning so stand just a wee bit taller and only do that by raising your chest a tiny bit. When you do not only with those traps pop but it will frame your chest instead of overshadowing it. Make sure you pull your head back a little to let the light get to your chest to so the striations do not get hidden in a shadow. I can't tell anything in the legs this time due to the shorts but I am sure we have a posing practice coming up where we can have a look at that.

You are doing great Doug, looking awesome getting lean as a mofo! That side abs and obliques shot is my favorite you look great in that pic, thick ripped and raring to go!

Thanks I am really pleased. One thing I have really noticed is my metabolism is really speeding up. The Max pump is nots. I am surprised I haven't heard more about this.

Thanks Chros I am doing the other one in my routne and it doesn't look half bad but this is the way I will rock the mandatories
 
Few practice shots from last night. I know my arms did not go high enough and I ddin't get turned enough on the side chest but legs come through a bit better....

Some badass abs man ill tell ya

Three words Wheel of Death. I do 3 minutes a week on abs. Three murderous minutes mind you.

That reminds me of what I layed down yesterday. I saw these young guys (pretty fair size) lifting some reasonably heavy weight and I sensed a little attitude about them. I have seen these guys use the wheel from there knees a couple times and I just could not resist. I grabbed the wheel and went close to where they were training and did 15 of the most beautiful WOD you can imagine. I picked up the wheel and uttered while I was walking by "that's where they separate the men from the boys" lol they did not even acknowledge my precense but the attitude was gone. I know I was on an ego trip but it was fun for an old fugger....

Lol. Good job D.W. it doesn't really hurt to have those kind of moments every once in a while. Especially from someone like yourself. I'm sure that you were the topic of those young guys convos all day. I could see it now "damn old guy is nuts with the wheel of death" lol... Hahahahah

Weighed in at 190 this morning 1 pound down from Friday. Both scenarios were after low carbs days.
 
Good workout this morning, I do get winded but as long as I control my breathing it's not a big problem.

I have added a lot of fibrous vegtables into my diet, I was already taking in a decent amount but the increased volume from brocolli, peppers, cauliflower and grean beans will really help and it's just good nutrition.

I have a theory about me and Max Pump reacting so strongly and speeding up my metabolism. I have noticed that the days I take it with food It's really nuggin futs. Well the meal I take it with on those particular days has a grapefruit in it. Could be naringin causing the effect. I am going to move my grapefruit up one meal and see if that makes the difference.

I never though that I would be able to maintain 2500 cals and get this lean. I was ready to drop cals and increase cardio but I am losing like crazy as it is and don't seem to need to adjust anything .. it's weird. Epi-v and Max pump eh... nuggin futs!!!
 
Nice Doug, you can definitely see an improvement in legs and in your most muscular. Well done Sir! Legs looking good in the side shot but bend the back on just a tiny bit more so that even though one foot is flat and the other is on the toe they both have the same amount of tension. It will force the front to work harder making it pop even more and the back hamstring will be flexed more giving the back leg more dimension and size.

Wow looking back on those pics I can see some extra shreddage... didn't pick that up last night.

So I moved my Max Pump to earlier to not interfere with my morning grapefruit. I feel like someone lit my muscles on fire wow...can't wait till tomorrows super pump.
 
Hmmm I like the squirt of lemon idea. You are looking sharp in these pics, this is the most striated I have seen your chest look. Everything is just etched on the abs and obliques shot.

On your rear double biceps rotate your arm towards the back of your head. By that I mean keep the elbows where they are aligned already but rotate your arm so the fist part is towards the back of your head instead of inline with your elbow this will twist the peaks of you biceps up so that the peak is really noticeable from the back and just looks much bigger. Think of it like this you bring you elbows up to the sides and forward a little to get the lats to spread and then just twist the upper arm so it slants toward the back instead of being straight up from the elbow.

Man I just since yesterday and today made another stride in shreddedness... obliques are ripping up when relaxed now and legs are starting to shred. Serattus is deep hard and tight.

I weighed in and was back up to 191 but yesterday was medium carb day and Monday a high carb with the extra carb meal on top. The 190 oin Monday was decarbed. Today is a low day but next weigh in would be Friday after the same scenario as Monday so that could push me up to 194-95. So one weigh in to the next has it's circustances and I am very carb sensitive right now.

Practice tonight and will try to get more pics up...

Very nice...high elbows, legs popping, great vascularity, ab skin looks paper thin, biceps peaked. Much better ole wise ass.

yeah i knew time was getting by me..getting close!
what i want to do right now is maintain 2350cals/day with 2 weekly carb-ups on MON/THUR
other than those carb meals, i want you to drop carbs to ~75g daily going forward (so no more rotation)
i will e-mail with final 2 week course when i see pics of you next week

K now I have some adjustments, lunches are already made for today but will start tomorrow and see what carbs I can cut from the end of today maybe it will work out to 75, but today was a high carb day. Let me get to the drawing board.

Yes a heads up on the last 2 weeks may help for stocking gorceries, don't want to start stoking the wrong stuff. Would you keep the grapefruit or go with all starches?
