is anyone else an egg maniac?

You guys that eat all these eggs, what is your current goal?

I agree, I'm a huuuuuuuuuge egg fan, my parents think I'm nuts when I'm tossing lean ground chicken with shredded cheese into my 8 scrambled eggs! However I decided to cut my whole egg consumption down to just 1 whol egg and 1 cup whites and I feel like my body is leaning out better without the whole eggs. Could it have been the fat from all the whole eggs? I'm pretty much always in a constant state of recomposition, always trying to get leaner without sacrificing strength so that's why I ask what your goals are in regards to your training while eating all these whole eggs.

eggs actually lean me out. they are extremely anabolic. did you change anything else in the diet?

But you also don't eat any grains as I'm sure compared to tbarrows does, which in turn the added fat from the yolks might not fit into his macros as they do in yours. Just a thought..

true but you think the calories from eggs would make such a difference? all that fat usually get stored/used as energy anyway. hmmm i duno

How many grams of fat are in a yolk, 4 - 4.5 grams? Muliplying that against 8 eggs in his scrambled eggs that's 36 grams of fat alone, right there. Could be his thin line that pushes him over the edge. I know personally that I can't take in a few extra grams of either fat or carbs or i pack on unwanted pounds. Maybe he's the same way. However I suppose one could always adjust thier individual macros to get them yolks in... lol

but if the energy isnt used then it could be stored as fat. I know that fat itself wont make you fat, but like stated above going above your macros and taking in too much of one thing will eventually turn into glucose in your body and get stored as fat

jmo by the way no some broscience i looked up anton (ass lol) jsut the way i see it

I assumed it was this. Not so sure how beneficial the cholesterol will be to me, should i add them in, with all the exogenous test I am already recieving. 9 whites and one whole does me nice for breakfast.

Eggs Do Not Raise Cholesterol
Cholesterol, the fat-like molecules in eggs, does not affect the amount of cholesterol circulating in your bloodstream. Your body makes its own cholesterol, and the mechanism is not influenced by the cholesterol you eat. Cautious physicians may tell people with very high cholesterol levels to avoid eggs, but it will not help them at all.
What causes your body's cholesterol-making machinery to work overtime is almost always saturated fats and trans-fats. Eggs contain only small amounts of saturated fat. One large egg contains about 1.5 grams saturated fat. That is less than a tenth of the saturated fat in the tablespoon of butter that cooks use to fry the egg in. Have your eggs boiled or poached and you never need worry.
The voluminous research with eggs has never shown any link of egg consumption with blood cholesterol or with risk of heart disease. On the contrary, research shows clearly that you can eat eggs every day and lower your cholesterol. In August 2008, Dr Bruce Griffin and team at the University of Surrey in England published their landmark study in the European Journal of Nutrition. They added two eggs per day to the diet of overweight but otherwise healthy volunteers for 12 weeks, while subjects simultaneously followed the rest of a reduced calorie, low cholesterol diet prescribed by the British Heart Foundation (BHF). A control group followed the same BHF diet but cut out eggs altogether.
Both groups lost between 3.0 to 4.0kg (7-9lbs) in weight and both saw a fall in the average level of blood cholesterol, particularly in their LDL (bad) cholesterol levels, despite the egg group having increased their dietary cholesterol intake to around four times that of the control group
This research provides further evidence to support the now established science that saturated fats and trans-fats fat in the diet (most often found in pasties, processed meats, biscuits, cookies and cakes, and fat used in frying foods) are responsible for raising blood cholesterol rather than cholesterol-rich foods, such as eggs

Sorry bra, didn't get a chance to get back to this thread last night... No nothing has changed in my diet really - maybe my fat content in addition to all the eggs was too high? I get my other fats from natty pb, almonds and olive oil.

Do you think if you weren't doing paleo that the amount of eggs that you eat would still have the same effect on your body, i.e. the leaning out?

This is true, I carb cycle and my carbs mainly consist of oats, sweet potatos, some fruit and quinoa. Is my carb selection not the best? I was always under the impression oats, SP's and brown rice were the best choices but if there are other options out there that I'm not utilizing that might be more effective then please by all means let me know.

No, your carb selection is fine. Anton is just a pathologist and doesn't eat sprouted grains, therefore can probably afford more fats in his diet than you or I could.

bro i could not bring myself to drink a dozen raw a day, ive done a couple and its foul. its hard enough stuffing this 175-180 lb body with a dozen cooked lol

What!??! Dude just put 1 scoop of an exotic protein like cinnamon bun, you dont even taste the eggs

I dont think its the eggs that stop you from leaning out. I mean calorie surplus does make a difference in sedetary people but we need every calorie we can get. we already have a clean diet plus a large amount of exercise, our metabolic rate is through the roof. theres gotta be something else thats stopping your body from shedding the last of the fat, grains sugars etc..

I just wanted to stop back in and let everyone know this thread, along with one other I believe, has led me to REALLY increase my whole-egg consumption from ZERO (all egg whites for past three months) to EIGHT... and I've also leaned out (of course adjusted calories elsewhere, but I LOVE eggs) I have be rekindled in my love with yolks. Over Easy please... mmmmm. :)

Thanks, I switched to a keto based diet and eggs are just too perfect. There are just so many reason to include them in your diet. First they are delicious. Second they are cheap. Third they kick ass and just are chuck full of fantasticness for the body. Fourth they are quick and easy to make. Fifth, did I mention they are insanely cheap? And sixth there are tons of different ways you can make them.

Oh and did I mention The weird looks you get at work when you constantly eatting eggs everytime they come into the break room. You know how many times I am warned about my cholestral levels... I just laugh and shake my head. I work in a hospital, you would think nurses and doctors would be smarter than that

Nurses and Doctors are only as intelligent as insurance and pharmaceutical companies want them to be. Just tell them yeah my HDL is incredibly high, along with my testosterone levels, growth factors, and lean body mass. Oh and by the way the I totally dig the Nicole Ritchie look you're sporting after becoming a vegan, too bad your hormone levels have plummeted so low you can't reproduce or even get a hard-on.

I just got some inside information, JudoJosh, AntonG420. and Outstanding work for the American Egg Commercial Union.

Wait...I don't get it?

I've been on a kick lately where I hard boil and shell them and keep them in a bag in the fridge at work. I snack on them throughout the day. It's great. Every time a need a little boost I grab a couple of eggs. I feel like the Energizer Bunny now

I like eggs but no way 10+ a day, eggs kinda make my stomach upset for some reason... which is odd as I have a stomach of steel with anything else, can eat a ton of sushi and raw oysters.

yo anton its goin down tonight bro im hittin deads tonight, and then taping my entry for the egg eating contest.

Egg whites are a good source of protein, but whole eggs, fat and all, provide you with a complete amino acid profile that egg whites don't possess. I eat whole eggs, not just the whites, if I am bulking or cutting. Figured I'd throw that out there....

i throw egg whites in a blender with milk and fruit to have a real protein shake

guys i failed.. i taped it, and not sure i wanna post up cuz it was only 16 eggs, so im gonna retry before I post up again...

I ate 6 fried eggs, and 10 deviled eggs (20 halves)

ill tell you what, if you can eat more than 15 boiled eggs you get props from me because its what slowed me down. I thought deviled eggs would be easy, and I was going for 22 eggs, but the cold eggs just did not work. If they had been all fried and scrambled I could have done it, no problem. I might attempt it again tonight.

AHHHHHHH COME ON! I want to see it.

By the way, I don't think I could eat any more than 24 egg whites at once. I've been through periods during the last ten years or so when I was able to eat a LOT more in one sitting, but I'm not in one of those phases now.

24 egg whites? dude we're talking whole eggs here bro lol..

and if i post my video it will be my entry at 16 eggs. I have more in me. I was all stimmed out on adderllin when I attempted it. No way is that my max, ive eaten 15 before with pancakes, red potatoes and a wide array of meats

Soupposed to be a adderal knockoff for OTC use.

WHATS IN Adderllin

2 caps per serving 30 servings per bottle.

•Vitamin B3
Is a B vitamin with Nootropic effects. It is also has been noted for its use in people with Alzheimer’s disease.

•Vitamin B12
Is involved in the metabolism of every cell of the body, especially affecting the DNA synthesis and regulation but also fatty acid synthesis and energy production. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause severe and irreversible damage, especially to the brain and nervous system. Vitamin B-12 gives a great natural energy boost.

•Guarana
Guarana is an herb that is rich in caffeine. Research has also shown that guarana may affect how quickly the body perceives itself to be full as well.

•Bitter Orange
Bitter orange is used as a stimulant and appetite suppressant which aids in weight loss. It contains several alkaloids such as synephrine that stimulate the body’s beta-3 receptors. Activating these receptors boosts your metabolic rate and energy levels to help increase fat burning and ultimately body fat loss. It also promotes the release of epinephrine and nor-epinephrine which boost mental energy and focus while indirectly helping body fat loss.

•Yohimbe Bark Extract
It is of the tryptamine chemical class with stimulant and aphrodisiac effects. It is also known for it’s thermogenic effect.

•Choline Dihydrogen Citrate
It is a naturally-occuring ammonium salt that is found in the lipids that make up cell membranes -in the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Choline is the chemical precursor or “building block” needed to produce the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, and research suggests that memory, intelligence, and mood are mediated at least in part by acetylcholine metabolism in the brain.

•Acetyl-L-Carnitine
ALCAR has neuroprotective benefits in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. ALCAR plays many important roles in the body, but the most important one from a fat burning perspective is ALCAR’s role in escorting fatty acids to the cell’s mitochondria where they can be burned as fuel aiding in body fat loss.

•Bacopa Extract
It has been used in India for several thousand years and is considered a “brain tonic” which enhances memory development, learning, and concentration. The herb shows significant psychotropic action as evidenced by excessive sleep and conformation changes in the brain as well as blood. It is also a potent antioxidant.

•Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
Tyrosine is converted in the body to key biologic compounds. These compounds include epinephrine, dopamine, L-dopa, Co-Q10, and thyroid hormones.

•Caffeine
Caffeine has nootropic effects, inducing positive changes in memory and learning. Both caffeine and naturally occurring caffeine found in guarana called guaranine are found in Adderllin.

•Dimethylaminoethanol
DMAE is related to choline and is a biochemical precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Studies have shown an increase in vigilance and alertness, with a positive influence on mood.

•White Willow Bark Extract
White willow bark extract is added because a synergy occurs whenever ingredients are combined and the specific combination of those ingredients provides a greater benefit than the individual benefits that could be realized if each of those ingredients were taken independent of each other. Also known as a natural pain reliever.

•Piperine
Piperine is an extract found from black pepper and is known for it’s increased uptake of nutrients and supplements.

•Vinpocetine
Is an extract found in the periwinkle plant. Vinpocetine is reported to have a cerebral blood-flow enhancing and neuroprotective effects. It is also used as a drug in eastern european countries for the treatment of cerebrovascular disorders and age related memory impairment.

•Huperzine
Is naturally occurring and extracted from the Firmoss plant. Huperzine has been shown to enhance memory and learning performance in clinical trials performed on China.
