I was just wondering if there is anybody here, who's body temperature, or body temperature average never reaches 98.6, and DONT have any thyroid/adrenal problems, feel great, have constant energy, dont have a puffy face, are lean and fit with lower bodyfat levels, are healthy, ect?

Im just curious.

From what ive been told and reading, if your body temperature doesnt average 98.6 for the day, then you have thyroid problems/imbalances.

Thanks!

interesting you mention that. my g/f has poor circulation, and her mom has graves disease, and her dad has hashimoto's disease. now you've got me wanting to find her temperature.

I believe in body temperature as indicator of Adrenal and Thyroid health.
I think that the the temperature of
37.00C= 98.60F
is too high standard, (possibly acceptable for short time (couple months) when attempting to loose weight).

I like better a range that I have copied (somewhere)

(97.8° - 98.2°F) (36.56° - 36.78°C)

In my youth (I am 69yo now) my temperature was steady 36.6C

Over two years ago I had my TRT part (T, HCG, E2, DHT) already relatively well under control.
My temperatures were in high 35C , low. Also at that time I was not studying much about thyroid, being concentrated mostly on TRT.

After checking my thyroid indicators I found mostly FreeT3 laging behind.
I ended on Armour thyroid dose of 2.75-3grains/day while watching my blood test results, temperature and body pulse.
I have 1.5grains Armour pills, 2-1.5grains-Armour=3grains
(I also have 1Grain pills but do not use them atm).
With all this effort,
more often then not I am finding my temperature slighty less than 36.6C

Recently I have found study (done on old men) (cant locate link).
Those whose RT3 was less that middle of acceptable range fared better.

My RT3=23.1ng/dL(9-32)

middle range (32-9)/2+9=22

so I am slightly above middle range.

Couple days ago I got pills of T3, 20mcg each pill
Liothyronine, made by Goldshield Pharmacuticals, UK.
UK's version of Cytomel-T3, except 20mcg pills rather than 25mcg(for Cytomel)

I am going to replace one of the 1.5Grain-Armour pills with one T3-20mcg

1.5Grain-Armour=(T4)57mcg = (T3)13.5mcg

After about 2 weeks, depending on my reaction, I may add another 20mcg-T3 for a total of 40mcg-T3

.

My gf gets night sweats, wakes up cold and wet in the morning..regardless of location..I'm telling her to get her thyroid checked...good advice?

I consistently get temperatures between 95-97 taken usually in the morning, but not right after waking up. Does that point toward adrenal or thyroid issues?

Very interesting. I noticed about 2 weeks ago during a routine check that the Dr wrote down my temp as 96.1, so I thought it was low then. I started checking every day since and have only been over 97 once. This may be something I could approach my Dr. about......

DRs are paid to be wrong....read this before seeing him. Then tell him what to do. Then pay him.

Sounds like classic adrenal problems. I have the same issue with fluctuating temps throughout the day. I attribute this to unstable cortisol production. I feel good in the morning, but starts going down hill after noon & start to feel better again later at night. I think my pituitary may be the root of the problem causing a 'sputtering' hormonal effect. I can get my temps up to 98.6 on hydrocortisone, but I'm having problems with metabolizing it too quickly. Might switch over to Medrol for a more stable effect.

You should get your adrenals tested (preferably through saliva 4X throughout the day) along with a thyroid panel. Don't be fooled by adrenal blood test in morning. If you are like me, you may show a normal morning cortisol level but may have lower than normal levels at other times throughout the day.

My temperature as measured is usually around 97.4. I can walk outside with just a tee shirt and it is 34 degress with a slight breeze and I do not feel cold while walking towards a destination for less than 5 minutes. Temperature set point that is lower than average does not always imply low thyroid output. It could however predict greater longevity instead.

You are right i think, ive read that lower body temperature can mean longer life, and also lower T3 levels can mean longer life. But we obviously need normal T3 levels to be healthy as its an extremely important hormone for health.

Calorie restriction is shown to extend life, and calorie restriction was also shown to lower T3 levels.

I am now

25mcg(T3) + 25mcg(T3) + 1.5GrainArmour

Feeling good, my temperature is at desirable level, 36.6-36.7C

In June will draw blood to see my results.
