I believe in body temperature as indicator of Adrenal and Thyroid health.
I think that the the temperature of
37.00C= 98.60F
is too high standard, (possibly acceptable for short time (couple months) when attempting to loose weight).
I like better a range that I have copied (somewhere)
(97.8° - 98.2°F) (36.56° - 36.78°C)
In my youth (I am 69yo now) my temperature was steady 36.6C
Over two years ago I had my TRT part (T, HCG, E2, DHT) already relatively well under control.
My temperatures were in high 35C , low. Also at that time I was not studying much about thyroid, being concentrated mostly on TRT.
After checking my thyroid indicators I found mostly FreeT3 laging behind.
I ended on Armour thyroid dose of 2.75-3grains/day while watching my blood test results, temperature and body pulse.
I have 1.5grains Armour pills, 2-1.5grains-Armour=3grains
(I also have 1Grain pills but do not use them atm).
With all this effort,
more often then not I am finding my temperature slighty less than 36.6C
Recently I have found study (done on old men) (cant locate link).
Those whose RT3 was less that middle of acceptable range fared better.
My RT3=23.1ng/dL(9-32)
middle range (32-9)/2+9=22
so I am slightly above middle range.
Couple days ago I got pills of T3, 20mcg each pill
Liothyronine, made by Goldshield Pharmacuticals, UK.
UK's version of Cytomel-T3, except 20mcg pills rather than 25mcg(for Cytomel)
I am going to replace one of the 1.5Grain-Armour pills with one T3-20mcg
1.5Grain-Armour=(T4)57mcg = (T3)13.5mcg
After about 2 weeks, depending on my reaction, I may add another 20mcg-T3 for a total of 40mcg-T3
.
