so this morning i was awoken by severe stomach cramping at 8:30. At 12:30, after trying to sleep it off, and puking several times, I was taken to the hospital, where they just gave me fluids and the cramping subsided. nothing was wrong with me, but my guess is that potentially old milk was the culprit for my cramping. needless to say, i don't think i'm up for hitting the gym tonight, and may take tomorrow off as well.

back from my MRI. I won't know anything now until monday but my doctor put his money on a concussion. He thinks that when I was lifting, pressure built up in my brain and pushed it forward into the front of my skull causing a concussion. The headaches I have been having are just a result of that concussion.

oh man, been talkin to an old friend from my high school and for some reason i'm really amped to hit the gym right now. i just feel like tearing up some iron -- kickin' some ass and takin a lot of names. i'm f*ckin' starving at the moment so i'm going to scrounge some food and probably hit the gym tomorrow.

Tylenol is now my new best friend. I can't exert myself at all so I have been taking tylenol and playing videogames. That will probably be my agenda for the rest of the week... I really want to lift or do something but that is 100% against the doctor's orders.
 
Its good to take a week break every now and then anyway..sucks when its forced upon you tho. I bet you'll come back stronger than ever bro :head:

yeah but this is week 2 off. I am starting to lose weight and I am down about 7 lbs.

please switch to motrin or another nsaid, tylenol is the devil. Its close to as bad on your liver as methylated oral steroids :P

Im only allowed to take straight acetaminophen. I can't take anything that will thin my blood.

well the doc called. My brain is perfectly fine but my sinus passages are messed up. I guess I have a chronic sinus infection near the back of my eyes which is causing the headaches and pressure in my temples so once I get this taken care of I will be back to the weight room. I have an appointment on Friday to get some drugs to take care of this. I am extremely glad that this has nothing to do with my brain and is treatable. Thanks for all of your support guys. I appreciate it.

anyway -- had an absolutely killer chest / back workout tonight. i could really feel my pecs and lats after several sets of these lifts. switched up the order a little tonight because of availability of machines.

lat pulldowns alt in front / behind neck: 90x10, 105x10, 120x10, 135x8, will increase reps
incline bb bench: 95x12(warmup), 115x10, 125x8, 135x6, 145x4, will increase reps
close grip pullups: bwx10, x10, x10, x8, will increase reps
cable flies: 50x10, 60x8, 70x5 will increase reps <-- these really burned! oh man, after every set my pecs were on fire!
cable rows: 90x10, 105x10, 120x8, 135x6, will increase reps
cable crossovers: 70x14, 90x8
bent-over bb rows: barx15(warmup), 95x10, 115x10, 135x8, will increase reps
db flat bench: 40x12, 50x10, 55x6 <-- i completely ran out of steam during the third set of these
SS db pullovers: 30x15, 35x15, 40x15
