2 quick updates

1. bought another bottle which should be here soon. Will finish with an additional 20 days at 75
2. Weighed in at 207lbs this is 1lbs up from the beginning. Which makes sense to an extent as I have tried to run this as a recomp
 
2 days worth

Had an awful leg workout yesterday so it was not much to write about. The weights were good and strong but gave a slight tweak to my right shoulder. Bear in mind, I have had 3 shoulder operations already

So I decided to stop after the tweak, and I felt better this am

Chest and tri day

Chest:
flat bp (10 sets) 335lbs tried for 2 reps, way too greedy and down it came
Incline db press (4 sets) 75lbs sets of 12
Flat db press (4 sets) 75 lbs sets of 12

Tris:
Did this a little different. Set up all 3 exercises and did them with no rest 4 times
CG BP (4 sets) 185lbs to failure
2arm db extensions (4 sets) 75lbs to failure
JM Press (4 sets) 185lbs to failure

Basically, I did cg, then went straight to extensions, then right to JM press. Rest 1 minute and repeat. What a killed

Overall, I was pleased with where the strength was, did better on flat than I anticipated. Only side to note right now is slight increase in acne. Which is kinda funny tbh

Nice back and bi day

After tgaking the new cat to the vet (cutest little bugger) I had a nice little back and bi workout

BTN Pullsup (5 sets) BW sets of 8
TBar rows (8 sets) was really enjoying this so kept going 4 35's 2 25's
DB Rows (4 sets) 75lbs to failure

Fat grippz BB curls (4 sets) 95lbs
1arm preacher (4 sets) 45lbs to failure
Seated incline curls (4 sets) 40lbs

The fat grippz really cause a hell of a pump. Vascularity was off the chart here, so that is a positive. No major changes as we can see from the strength department.

Well, like I said, Ive really been out of it for a few days, but I will take another look around google for other reviews to read. Im learning about Protomax just like you guys, I have no experience with it, and Im reading all the logs to see how things are going for people.

And Dragon13, I understand your sentiment, but unless you want to pony up the cash for another bottle for AE14, its not going to happen, and no offense, maybe its the drugs Im on but honestly it seems presumptuous to suggest it. I feel IBE was generous giving 6 people the chance to try ProtoMax, and I lobbied for such a high number to give the rest of us a decent amount of logs to read and follow so we could get an idea of what to expect. If any of the current loggers want to experiment with higher dosages/longer cycles, I encourage them to follow the example of thebigt and buy another bottle to enhance their experience even further.

The idea for the log came from IBE as a promotional vehicle, with them kicking in the bottle, so the rest of us can see what the compound can do. IBE wasn't "generous", don't pretend we're stupid here. This is marketing, plain and simple. So - you do realize that if AE14 finishes his run and gives Proto a poor review, that will very likely impact your bottom line (potential lost sales) a hell of a lot more than sending him another measly bottle of product??? And you do realize that 3 weeks at low-then-average dosing is not going to elicit dramatic results, right????

So putting 2 and 2 together... wouldn't it behoove IBE to do everything in it's power to ensure a good review and excellent results in a log they started to showcase their own freaking product?????? You're basically telling me it's better business to risk a poor review based on too little product for too short of a time period, then spend the $10 or whatever it cost to send him another bottle.

I swear to God, I don't understand how some of these companies even stay in business.

good shoulder day

Was very stiff this am, must have been a rough night sleep. My joints were sore, specifically my shoulders. So I spent a lot of time loosening them up, which paid dividends as the workouts progressed. Man, I hate getting oulder

BTN Press (8 sets) 135-155lbs sets of 8-10
BB Shrugs (4 sets) 455lbs sets of 5*
DB laterals (4 sets) 40lbs sets of 8*
BTB Shrugs (4 sets) 315lbs set of 10**
Rear Laterals (4 sets) 40lbs sets of 7-9**
Arny's (4 sets) 70lbs sets of 8

I will admit, that the warmups were very helpful. Additionally, I felt a great deal of longevity with this workout. I dont know how to explain it, but I still feel good. As I said, my only issue is the joint stiffness. I do not believe that it has much to do with the proto, however I am sure a rep or someone experienced with the compound would know better.

Incline BP (11 sets) 2 sets @ 275lbs 5 reps per
Incline DB BP (5 sets) 75lbs sets of 12

I was pretty pleased with the overall results, chest had a good pump and I felt pretty good. Will be back tomorrow with deads. Aas an aside, I have not noticed anything different in terms of libido, which is something I have heard proto effected.

I have gone as high as 315 on incline. I think right now I close to that. Been trying not to go too far below 2-3 reps per set
 
today wass a modified workout. I was at work all day. I am currently an administrative intern, as I am finishing my NJ/PA principals certificate. So for the state, I have a certain amount of hours that I need to put in. it is excellent experience, just time consuming. I only worked deads today as I came home really fatigued. I spent 7 hours in teacher interviews :)

Deads (10 sets) 2 sets at 405lbs 3 reps per

I will be putting in arms tomorrow after legs. I am also considering a slight alteration to my routine, but I will update that as I decide the rearrangement.

Ive found better hypertrophic gains from EOD full body WO's. Whats your opinion of this cycle? Enhanced feelings of well being? Any irritability, agitation? Enhanced muscle volume?

I appreciate the feedback. I am not a great responder to full body workouts, just from past experience.

In terms of the Proto exprience:
nothing of change to note from a personality standpoint. I am still the wonderfully pleasant person I always am ;)

I will say, muscular hardness (volume) is enhanced greatly. It seems even at a standstill it has improved. I mentioned a few pages back that just driving, I noticed where my chest was pumped without having worked it out for a day or so.

Here was hte different workout today. I am going to start my new routine tomorrow, so today was a fill in the blanks day

Shoulders:
Arny presses (5 sets) 70lbs sets of 10
Side laterals (5 sets) 35lbs to failure*
Rear laterals (5 sets) 35lbs to failure*

Bi's:
BB Curls (5 sets) 100lbs sets of 8
Seated incline curls (5 sets) 40lbs sets to failure
Hammer curls (5 sets) 50-60lbs per 8 reps per set

Felt great. It was actually an enjoyalbe workout. I started getting bored with my older routine. Will start to get back to competition workouts as of tomorrow.

Hell of a pump in my arms tofay, and again muscular endurance was pretty solid. Was not the least bit run down or tired. Additionally, vascularity was very high and more noticeable than usual.

Nothing else of note to mention.

I'd switch wed. and sat. around. For some reason, even though it's a different muscle group, I feel I can't put as much into a workout if I do back and bis and chest and tris 2 days back to back. That's just me though.

good chest day and another change

So.....after being at 75mg for the past 2+ weeks, I have decided to up the ante so to speak and go to 100mg for the remainder of the run. I did this for a couple of reasons

1. Most of the reviews of this compound did not show significant increases in strength until the user hits 75-100. Since I have been at 75mg for about 16 days, I think it is time to go up.
2. Being totally honest, I have seen minimal consistent strength increases, so in order to achieve what I had hoped from this run, I think this is the best move at the moment. Today is day 1

Flat BP (12 sets) 335lbs 1 smooth competition rep sets at 300lbs (comp reps)3 reps
Floor Press (6 sets) 275lbs 2 sets 4 reps
Flat DB Press (4 sets) 75lbs 10-11reps
Incline Flys (4 sets) 75lbs 8-9reps

Overall felt good. That has been fairly consistent throughout. However, If you notice from the start of the log, the strength is where it was (roughly) originally.
 
excited to see what happens at 100mg. quite frankly none of the logs have had anything decent to show at 50mg. i can't imagine doing a cycle with no strength gains and being happy with the results.
 
No workouts today or tomorrow

I made the mistake of having a sleepover last night with my 7 year old and our new cat. Needless to say, sleep was a t a minimum and with being cramped I woke up with a friggin nasty kink in my neck. So, since tuesdays are my normal day off, I figured I would take today as well to rest and come back hard with the new routine Wednesday. I rethought it, and here is what I have

S: Chest
M: Shoulders
T: off
W: Back/Deads
H: Chest/Tris
F: Legs
S: Back/Bi's
 
Cool, really want to see what 100 mgs can do.

Very disappointing lift

I came into this afternoons lift with a lot of promise. Been at 100mg for a few days, felt rested and good. Was at work for a few hours this am, nothing strenuous prior to the start of school. Yet....it sucked

Deads (8 sets)440lbs 1 easy rep after that, I was burnt on deads, everything felt heavy and I struggled quite a bit
DB Rows (5 sets) 75lbs sets of 12
Wide grip chins (5 sets) bw sets of 8

Strength was not impressive at all, considering I have been on protodrol since 7/31. All other positive remain, and the most intriguing to me is that I weighed in this am and was only 205 which is down from my starting weight. WTF is that????
Lets hope tomorrow's chest and tris redeem this whole deal

its a typical chest and tri routine. Focus on upper chest and a great deal of triceps strength exercises. It is just odd, almost one month in and weight is down and no strength gain at all

Nice workout :thumbsup: and I'm glad things went better haha I noticed the biggest increase on my squat so far with Proto, Incline Bench next, then Barbell Curls.

I also noticed that my body is recomping and I'm not even trying to recomp really haha... you have any nice recomp effects with Proto if no substantial strength gains ??
 
I am definitely leaner which is a nice effect. I just expected more in strength

This was one of those workouts that I went by feel. Needless to say, I wont be walking for a while :)

Box Squats (12 sets) 3 sets @ 315lbs 5 reps
Front squats (6 sets) 175lbs 8 reps (I hate these)
Standing calf raises (7 sets) 275lbs 10 reps

Felt good, strength was solid, and I did not want to stop. I was just concerned that I would overtrain.

Have one week left on proto, and then will be heading to natabolic. So I am going to start my Nata tomorrow.
