Ok, so before I give the chest/tris breakdown, let me just say, my legs are shot to hell :woohoo:

Warmup
25 minutes on the treadmill, good sweat, more than expected

Chest:
Flat BP (11 sets) 335lbs easy 1 rep 315lbs 2 reps (more focused on explosion and form)
Incline flys (4 sets) 60-75lbs 8 reps per
Incline DB press (4 sets) 75lbs 10 reps

Tris:
JM Press (6 sets) 2 sets 185lbs 8 reps
2arm db extension (4 sets) 75lbs 8 reps *supersetted with JM

Thoughts:
I am beat, my tris are throbbing with a crazy blood fueled pump. That makes me smile. Strength was where I expected as it was identical to where I was prior to vacation. Additionally, I noticed I was dying out quick on the tri supersets.

Tomorrow I will be working back and bi's. With back I will be focusing on rack pulls :)
 
I just got back from vacation this Saturday too and definitely abused my diet the whole week :lol:

I should have picked some of that up prior to the trip. I was up 6lbs when I weighed in yesterday morning. :aargh:

Rack Pulls (8 sets) 2 sets @ 495 3 reps 525lbs 1 rep
DB Rows (5 sets) 75lbs sets of 11

Bi's
BB Curls (6 sets) 115lbs sets of 7-10
Hammer curls with fat grippz (5 sets) 40lbs 8 reps

Pump is increased today (arms are quite full), and vascularity is very apparent. only day 3, but I feel a bit more drive, could very easily be placebo of course.

I will be making a slight alteration. I will be lifting shoulders tomorrow instead of wednesday as I have a meeting on wednesday at 1pm that I need to attend so I will change accordingly. However, if I have time, I might do an extra leg day wednesday

Had a great drive for the work today. Felt very strong and slight raise in aggression. Sweat has increased throughout the week, I am not sure if this is an attribute of the protomax however. Vascularity is still prevelant, as is a slight increase in muscle hardness.

Will most likely not be lifting tomorrow due to a 1pm meeting in NJ. Set for another, yet different, chest/tri routine on thursday
 
thanks man. I have to say that the week off put me into a much more aggressive mindset. I am sure the protomax coupled into that is a major part as well
 
Back to lifting today. Focus today on more upper chest a long with tris. Its been a good lifting week.

Also, the meeting yesterday went very well :dance:

However, one never knows how things are perceived from other viewpoints, so now its wait time

Warmup
Treadmill for 30 minutes, sweat was ridiculous, looked like I stepped out of a bath tub. It only increased through the lift

Chest:
Incline BP (8 sets) 300lbs easy 2 reps, sets @ 275lbs 4-5 reps
Flat flys (4 sets) 75lbs sets of 10
Inline DB press (4 sets) 75lbs sets of 12

Tris:
CG BP (6 sets) 2 sets of 225lbs 5-7 reps
2arm db extensions (4 sets) 75lbs 10 reps

Did not fatigue quite like earlier in the week. Stayed very focused and aggressive throughout. Strength is good, nothing of major note yet. Will be doing a weigh in tomorrow morning, as the extra 30 minutes of cardio a day seems to be helping on the lean out. Curious to see how sore I am tomorrow.
 
Just thinking this am, as this is the end of week 1, what would the IBE guys think about increasing the dosage to 3x per day? 1 at each major meal?

Weighed in as well this am. 206lbs, however very lean
 
Back and Bi day

Had a nice DL focused day

warmup
30 minutes on the treadmill to loosen everything up.

DL (9 sets) 455lbs 2 reps 405lbs 5 reps
Chins (4 sets) bw to failure
BB Rows (6 sets) 205lbs 5 reps *felt a slight twinge in my right lower lat stopped after that

Bis:
Standing alternating curls (4 sets) 50lbs sets of 8
1arm preacher curls (4 sets) 40lbs sets of 10
Concentration curls (3 sets) 40lbs sets of 7-9

Arms were really pumped, with tremendous forearm vascularity. Lost a little steam with the slight twinge, but decided not to push too much further. Strength was where I had hoped since I had not done DL in 2 weeks. Unless there are any objections, I am going to up the dosage to 3x per starting tomorrow
 
A couple of people have mentioned trying a higher dosage, I am very interested to see if you notice or feel any greater effects or the onset of any unwanted side effects coming on once you do this.

me too, all the logs are showing similar results at the recommended dosing, but i'd like to see the results of a higher dosing scheme also.
 
looking at one per each main meal. already have one dose in today. Would you suggest it the other way.


A little side bar commentary.....was just in the car and I noticed that my chest was fully pumped without doing anything. I like it :)
 
Real nice leg day

So I hit legs again, and the sweating is becoming more and more dramatic with each workout

Warmup (typical pre w.o treadmill)

Legs
Bench Squats (11 sets) 365lbs 2 reps :woohoo: sets @ 315lbs 5 reps
Zercher Squats (8 sets) 405lbs 2 reps (I was really fatigued)
Standing Calf extensions (7 sets) 225lbs sets of 12

I began to die out a bit, as my quads were trembling. That is a good thing. I dosed once in the afternoon, so that will equate to 3x per from this point forward.

Most noticeable effects thus far:
1. Increased sweating
2. Vascularity
3. Muscle Hardness
4. Slight strength increase


Looking forward to what thenext few weeks have in store, as this was only the end of week one

As of right now, nothing whatsoever. However, I do not have the bonuses of other cycles in the past, ie libido boost, euphoria etc ......

I love using the fat grippz, they burn the hell out of my forearms.

Thoughts:
Vascularity is u p still, nothing to note on strength. I did have a few headaches today, however, I was back at school for long meetings which could have had an affect on it. No change on libido, however, that is always up :) no pun intended

I have not had any sides, which causes my rating to go up a bit. However, if I do not see any noticeable strength gains by the end of this run, the score will differ

I am not going to go 100, but I think 75 is the way to go. However, with that said you will need 2 bottles to run an appropriate cycle.
 
Proto seems to be hit and miss from the logs and reviews I've read!! I'm in for this one because I know it will be honest. Great log so far keep hitting it hard!!

Where are these reviews cause Ive been a little out of it the past few days from the vicodin, but I musta missed those, it seemed to me that everybody was pretty positive about ProtoMax, and honestly I havent been this excited about a product in a long while, its reasonably price, its readily available now, it seems to be working good with very low to no side effects at all, and the potential for stacking is tremendous.

For a powerlifter, you sure do train with a lot of volume.

Uhhh, if I may be so bold: Roadblock, you need to get this guy another bottle so he can run a proper 5 week cycle. How can we expect to get a decent idea about the compound after only 3 weeks? And as I'm sure IBE would much rather see a positive review, it would behoove you to do everything possible to ensure that this is a successful cycle, and that means getting him enough to run 75 mgs for 5 weeks.

All prior reviews have suggested 75-100 mgs for 4+ weeks, or results are sub-par; it is worthless to evaluate any feedback from a user who runs it at 50 mgs for a week, then 75 for 2 weeks, and calls it a cycle.

Get the man some more proto please and thanks.

Chest and tri day

Sorry for the delay, we just adopted our second cat, and I have been a little bogged down with her and trying to keep the 2 separated for the time being

Here is how the workout went earlier

Incline BP (10 sets) 300lbs 2 reps 2 sets @ 275lbs 5 reps per
Flat BP (6 sets) sets of 5 explosive reps @ 275lbs

2arm db extensions (5 sets) 70lbs sets of 15
CG BP (4 sets) sets @ 225lbs 5 easy reps

Strength was good, still quite lethargic heading in. I did my normal workout and had a blood sugar issue. After 25 minutes, got oddly dizzy and felt my knees start to go. So I stopped. I think that could have been food related more than anything else. Will watch it however.

As far as other pertinent points:
No major changes to note. Libido is still solid (no pun intended), vascularity is good. Only concern is the lethargy at this point

Well, like I said, Ive really been out of it for a few days, but I will take another look around google for other reviews to read. Im learning about Protomax just like you guys, I have no experience with it, and Im reading all the logs to see how things are going for people.

And Dragon13, I understand your sentiment, but unless you want to pony up the cash for another bottle for AE14, its not going to happen, and no offense, maybe its the drugs Im on but honestly it seems presumptuous to suggest it. I feel IBE was generous giving 6 people the chance to try ProtoMax, and I lobbied for such a high number to give the rest of us a decent amount of logs to read and follow so we could get an idea of what to expect. If any of the current loggers want to experiment with higher dosages/longer cycles, I encourage them to follow the example of thebigt and buy another bottle to enhance their experience even further.
 
Yeah there's a few other reviews and logs on other forums.. I think I'm going to try and pick up two bottles and run this around November if all goes well or might just wait tell the start of 2011
 
Deads day

With the new cat keeping me up most of the night, I didnt run this am. Now, typically I would have been ticked off, however, it seemed to allow me some recoup and fire in the a$$ for this afternoon

typical warmup

Back:
Deads (10 sets) 455lbs 1 smooth rep sets at 405lbs 3 reps
BB Rows (5 sets) 205lbs 2 sets of 5
Undergrip chins (3 sets) bw to failure

Bi's
Hammer curls (5 sets) 45lbs sets of 12
BB Curls (4 sets) 100lbs sets of 12

Felt good, and felt strong today. Vascularity is still very noticeable. Will be doing a weigh in tomorrow am and see where I am in the past 2 weeks. Nothing to note outside of some strong muscular hardness. Typically when I am sitting and doing nothing, I notice my chest and/or arms just feeling quite hard. We shall see how that continues.

Finally, I counted out the bottle. It seems I will have one final day on the 20th at 50mg. However, I am thinking I might take each of those and the last 2 days just go to 100mg for the fun of it :)

Unfortuntely there is an odd amount with the last day being 50. So I am wondering (and looking for input) should I just run the last day at 50 or increase the 2 days prior to 100 per?

Since you've already experienced what 50mg's has to offer, I'd just go with 100mg's for the last two days.
