Yah I am going to try but it's up to him, sooner or later I will have to get him in the hands of someone who knows the sport of powerlifting better than me. I actually saw him pull 445 for reps when he was 16 and 575 squats for reps when he was 18. So I can even fathom the potential he may have now that he is so fuggin huge. I can't believe how much his bones have thickend since that point. His technique is textbook on all lifts.
 
thats the way I see it to if you saw my smith squat video in my log Ill look for it right now and actually easier on the knees if done right and not bounced at of the bottom

Lucky me, (he says sarcastically) if I widen my stance my groin and hammies work from the top of the range of motion to the bottom. Anything wider than shoulder stance will only produce soreness in my groin, glutes and hamstrings. Just the way my instertion points are I guess. I would love to squat wider for more power but I get ham heavy then and my quads look smaller. Someone else on here is kind of hamstring dominant too. I think Metroba. It's okay, I have learned what works for me. Closer together more quads farther apart, more posterior chain. There are some guys as the shows get closer only squat with their feet in the same postion as they keep them when posing. They say that that perfects the shape in that pose. Something I have thought about but I think my legs are seperated enough I don't need to worry about that.

If it had been legs i would have had my ass whooped but chest and biceps are pretty even. Dallas front squats a solid 445 and deadlifts a 565! He's a competitive olympic lifter. Definitely gives me a run for my money when we train together.

Going to be postponing legs until tomorrow due my lower back being tight as hell. Not sure whether it's from the standing barbell military presses or sleeping on my couch. Need my back to be good so i can kill some heavy squats! I feel it's better to be safe than sorry.

I had some of the same thoughts last night with my back, but the front squats don't seem to effect it. So if your still a bit stiff front squats may be the way to go.
 
I'll be back in tomorrow...Back is just tight and i want to go all out on my squatting so everything has to be good to go.

I agree to go in the gym when your not one hundred percent does more harm than good.

Standing Military presses when I do them heavy always put a lot of pressure on my lower back.

I stagger my right foot heel to toe which helps me quite a bit in this department. Still have to be carefull though.

Pun, I know BB'ing is your choice. I do want to add though that a $30-40 blast shirt put 30 lbs on my raw bench in the past. Unfortunately I lost the fugger. Just some food for thought. Sometimes you have to 'feel' the weight before you can conquer it! (have you conquered 400 before?)

In the past, I've benched 335 for a max. Benched 365 with the shirt, thereafter I was able to get 355 raw. Training with heavy heavy weight like that, 315 for reps started to feel like 225.
 
No, i've never done 400 on the flat except for on a smith machine. I don't really want to use a bench shirt due to still being a bodybuilder and not really being obsessed with numbers just my physique. I know i'll hit 400 soon enough!
