He normally goes back down to a TRT or a TRT+ dose to get his bloodwork back in check.
 
with the meet being peak week, will you be immediately going into some form of PCT/Natty for a given period of time now? How long would you off cycle for if you do?

Nope, done with kids & never planning to come off again. Once you’re past your genetic limit, doing a PCT is a great way to lose most of your gains. I will have an 8-12 week cleanup phase soon to let my blood thin out some and give my organs a break.

Went into the gym & broke a sweat this morning. Got loosened up and did 3 singles on bench at 70% and on squat at 50%.

Went for an InBody Scan today after a shower. I have added about 3lbs of lean mass (114.6lbs) since last year while also dropping 3% bodyfat (26% BF) at the same weight. Pretty pleased with that, especially considering there was a surgery last winter.

Yeah looking at your pictures you can definitely tell you’ve gained some more muscle this year. To be honest it looks like more than 3 lbs to me.

May pop a little test prop in my delt on Saturday before we hit the road for weighins, but otherwise all that’s left is my daily Anadrol, plus some Dbol & Mtren on meet day.

Sounds awesome, I need to look into how to shoot the lats. I need a new spot that is easy to reach.

So how bad does the DHB hurt? I keep reading it is absolutely amazing but it is so painful most people can't handle it. What were your thoughts on it specifically in this run?

Lats are a very good spot to take a big volume of oil; they don’t affect movement/cause tightness nearly as much as glutes and VG affect lower body mobility. Just don’t pin too low on them; I’ve heard it’s easier to hit a nerve going too low.

I rotate all of my big biweekly shots on blast between glutes, vgs, and lats so that everything only gets pinned every 3 weeks. Then I use delts and quads for carnitine just for little slinpin shots, and lats & VG as well for those.

The last jug of this DHB it left a fairly painful depot (DHB can crystallize in the depot), but none of this jug from same batch has had any pip/knotting at all this cycle. It was a very old home brew batch from a guy on here, so I don’t have any more and probably won’t get to use it again for some time. But it definitely made me stronger very soon after adding.

The main thing with DHB, is be ready to do tissue work wherever you pin it to help break up the crystals. Like I said, I’ve had to do none this blast, but previous 2 bottles/cycles with it I would need to just the massage gun and lax ball often, and hard.

That says a lot in 2 ways. One ouch, needing a massage gun and Lax ball to break things up, and 2 it has to be damn good results to go back to the well when it is that painful.

I mean, nobody really enjoys the process of jamming a 1” needle into yourself multiple times a week either, or all the multitude of side effects we tolerate from gear use.

True that, just hearing Broderick talk about how horribly painful it is. I assume it might be like when I injected some crashed 400mg Test and couldn't walk right for over a week. However it doesn't sound quite that bad but still pretty rough.

Last ART session before this meet is in the books. Doc feels like he has me tuned up pretty well for it, and from my end everything is certainly feeling good too.

Mentally, I just feel ready to go. I don’t have any reservations or worries and I feel well fed; my body & mind are ready to compete.

Yeah it felt really good - it was very fast & clean. I probably could have taken another lift even at 633 after, but it would have been unnecessarily risky. I know there was more in the tank.

Better knowing than finding out the stubborn way!

None taken! I was ~270lbs in this photo at a height of 5’10”. My Inbody scan last week put me at 26% bodyfat and 114lbs of skeletal muscle mass weighing 266lbs.

That is equivalent to hitting 6 plates & a 25/side on a squat bar, in sleeves & walked out

I’m really proud of that one. I cut my last deadlift very light to lock in the huge total PR it afforded me.

Not even high to be honest. I think of a near 300lb power lifter and immediately go to someone who looks like Eddie Hall at max bodyfat percent with a big gut lol

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all of the kind words here, and support along the way. This last year has been a ton of work, getting my weight down, cleaning my elbow up, trying to build back up better than ever.

Nobody said it would be easy - they only said it would be worth it. It was.
 
OK so what's next homie? how are you approaching (if at all) deload, and next cycle? I'm betting you already have your eyes on another meet?

3-4 weeks with no spinal compression or shear loading, trying to avoid barbell work, is probably in order. Try to stick to machines and unilateral db work, restore some GPP, mentally & physically decompress.

Start leaning back out & get some weight off, get my bloodwork cleaned up.

I didn’t have anything competitive in my head, but the owner of East Race Muscle was competing in my flight & we spent some time hanging out while competing. He was telling my gym owner (who also competed with us) about trying to put on a pro-am show next June. Something like Saturday being for 400+ DOTS to qualify & Sunday for the 450+ lifters.

Now I am most certainly not placing in anything like that, but it’s only 3 hours or so from here & he was a cool dude. So if anyone else from the gym is competing it could be cool.
