I have a hunch most have not!!! My best on one was 5 reps with 6 plates per side.

@Hyde curious since you are now at the body weight you were when you posted your last pump shot, is the knew muscle pretty obvious visually?

^When you find out low LDL is actually a very bad thing, and red meat was shown to have next to no correlation to cardiac events, all in the same week
There are probably better ways to break a 28-hour fast, but I can’t think of any!
That makes sense, not to train extension, pressing, and curling which would strengthen partial range, but would make ROM harder to restore. And I know it’s hard, especially when you’re feeling good. Hopefully your PT will have good news Friday and you’re closer than they think.12/14/22

Saw local surgeon this morning and he impressed on me to NOT start training extension/pressing & curling yet, but to hammer passive stretching until my ROM is complete first. Otherwise I will grow strong in partial range again fast but make it much harder to restore the greatest ROM. Said to definitely see the PT ASAP and see what they have to say to make sure I’m covering my bases, so I have an appointment Friday morning. He cleared me to use my hand to hold whatever, deadlifting, squats, rows.
Made palpable progress on flexion & extension tonight. Tomorrow is lower body for real, but I just did a quick Bulgarian style hi bar work up til the squat slowed down for fun, then pumped up my delts & pecs.

Good to hear your op went smooth mate!
One thing I’ve noticed is, subtle changes to a joint require subtle changes to motor recruitment pattern, and that can actually be tricky. Be mindful!

I can vouch for the validity of this statement with six joint surgeries under my belt. I went about a decade after multiple knee surgeries in a short time until I needed shoulder surgery. Forgetting that everyone’s surgery is at least slightly different, recovery is different (both in time and what you’re capable of after), and how it generally feels after, I looked at the averages of each and went nanners as soon as I thought I could. Completely forgot that things don’t quite work the same after getting cut and muscle recruitment can be significantly changed. Won’t whine about how trashed the shoulder is now, but I wish I took the time to regain full control of muscles before overloading the joint again.Good to hear your op went smooth mate!

That salad looks delicious !
When we were running Paleo hardcore, back when that was the fad of the year, pretty much everything was avocado oil but made at home. Avocado ranch was pretty good.
We are still probably 80% Paleo out of habit but I drop those rules for carbs personally.
It was extremely good. My father always made dressing homemade with 50/50 olive oil & vinegar and just toss some spices onto the salad. I always enjoyed it!
I’m not sure why I have been eating all these processed vegetable seed oils with added sugar & sweeteners for years. They taste good, but they’re all terrible for your arteries. Any premade dressing at the store is based on soybean or canola oil or similarly inflammatory vegetable seed oil - I looked high & low, expensive organics to your store brand ranch, and every shelf is the same: full of vegetable oils.
There are no ranches, thousand island, french made from something like avocado or olive oil. It’s pretty disappointing. I’ll have to look online.
Check out Newman's Own, Paul Newman's line I think they are all made with pure olive oil. Gazebo Room is Soy & Olive Oil (It is my favorite)

Is there a specific oil you want. There's brands that are made only with olive oil, there's other ones made with avocado oil, I've even seen ones made from blood orange and chili oils that Im pretty sure have a MCT baseYeah the soy oil is basically the problem. I will check out Newman’s Own.

An elbow workout just sounds strange, (but necessary) I'm glad you are making a fast comeback and can't wait to see the results !!
This is so true, coming out of the stretch is a mofo!!!! When I am working ROM on my shoulder coming out of the stretches is easily my least favorite part.Just imagine smashing your arm into every position you can find that it doesn’t want to go into - lean into that and hold it for a couple minutes, & that’s basically the physical therapy I’m doing. The thing that slows it down the most is just mentally recovering between sets. You know it’s going to hurt, and you know it will hurt worse unbending your arm when the hold is done.

First morning at the power gym, so I chose to squat with the big camber bar for the first time since anything was a PR. Tough bar but I enjoyed it a good deal. So happy to have a beltsquat again!
2nd week in a row I’ve had a big home-cooked meal at my mother in-law’s on Sunday & had a great Monday lower session - just sayin’.
Momma got a brand new bag! "Well Son, if you want to have another great workout tomorrow don't forget to bring my baby over for dinner Sunday!"Sounds like your Mother-in-law has found the secret sauce and tapped into the power of home cooked meals.![]()

Absolutely, a positive relationship with the in-laws has to make the relationship stronger overall. I know not having one definitely adds a scratch and dent quality to the relationship. It can be overcome but having a good strong base for the family is huge! I miss having family around like that. Unfortunately most of my family lives in Florida, and I live in Texas so if anything I am the anchor here in Texas for my Step mother and adopted brother and sister. I try to take on the mantle since Dad is gone, but it isn't easy.We have been going over there a lot, probably every other week or third week in recent months, which I think everyone really enjoys a lot & is great for the family. My son really loves going over, running around with the dog and seeing his grandparents & aunt, and we all like watching him play and being together to share a big dinner.
Grandpa has been building fires now that it’s cold, he has football on, Grandma is always orchestrating some kind of good meal. Last week was London broil, potatoes, a veggie-beef stew, rolls, corn on the cob, caramel apple pie (my favorite these days). Yesterday we had homemade chili & Dutch apple pie, cheese & crackers.
I always end up kicked back in the recliner with a full belly sipping a couple cups of coffee across from the fire while my son plays before I drive us back - a zen moment for sure.
I am really fortunate to have the in-laws I do. I truly enjoy spending time with them & am always excited to see them - having such love for them makes our marriage much better, I believe.
How far of a drive is it Hyde ?
Very Nice !!Just over an hour, but it’s an easy shot straight down the interstate to their city.
