Yeah, and that is okay too. Sometimes going home and licking wounds is the right thing to do.I should have done left arm seated/incline Db work at least but I was feeling very defeated after not being able to use my right hand already at all.

I did just that. Went and had a nice meal with family. Fasted for 18 hours. I took this morning off training and slept 10.5 hours, and I will train solo tonight on my own time. Deadlifts with straps!Yeah, and that is okay too. Sometimes going home and licking wounds is the right thing to do.
Nice! Hopefully the deads go well. Do you use the figure 8 straps or the regular ones? I have a set of regular I haven't used in years. I have the versa grips that I use most of the time for things, and then got some figure 8 straps too. I like them almost as much as my versa grips. Although for most things I don't use any of them. I used my versa's yesterday after crushing my brachialis and they saved the workout. Before that seems like it has been months for those, and just recently used the figure 8s when I ripped my callous off. Anyway, if you use regular wraps, you might want to give the figure 8 ones a try if you get the chance, I like them because they are easier to use, and they are pretty cheap too.I did just that. Well I am not a strapped deadlifter by trade, so regulars do work very well for me. However I used my gf’s figure 8s last week to start getting used to them. You can’t beat an 8 of the perfect size, but you have to have the right size as well as a different for axle deadlifting.Nice! Hopefully the deads go well. Yeah me either. I can work up to a triple at 405 with a double overhand grip, but the following sets need to be strapped or not enough grip left to do much. However for my body's sake I strap up and stay with double overhand instead of doing a lot of training mixed grip once over 405. When I do mixed grip training I try to switch grips each work set finishing on my stronger side. When doing that I will switch grip after 365 to keep the hands fresh enough for more volume.Well I am not a strapped deadlifter by trade, so regulars do work very well for me. Tonight I will have to use regulars since they’re in her gym bag.
Me too. Feels like a deficit deadlift to me.not sure why, but I can't deadlift double overhand with straps to save my life...

I hated it with strap, it is very hard to get your belly full, and you can't really load any spring into it that way so it ain't easy. I lose my tightness then have to take a deep breath bent over and restricted... So less weight got moved. However with a good pair of Versa Grips, or the figure 8 strap you are not down there strapping up for long and don't lose all of the mental prep either. I would get so frustrated with straps and trying to get them on and even on the bar... Give it a shot with some versa grips or figure 8 straps. If not at least train your mixed grip sets alternating which is over and under. Otherwise you can create some imbalances.Me too. Feels like a deficit deadlift to me.
It’s not easier, and probably wouldn’t increase my rep total on this upcoming event, but it will protect my bicep that will already be getting worked on the husa/keg carry event, on the Hercules hold, and save it for the atlas stone.not sure why, but I can't deadlift double overhand with straps to save my life...
The biceps issues is why I have stopped going over under as often in training. Both have had their moments, and one I frayed the biceps tendon a bit and that took me down for a while on a lot of things. So I try to do most training double overhand now. Sometimes though it is nice to just grip it and rip it! DAMN I miss deadlifting! GRRRR!!!!!It’s not easier, and probably wouldn’t increase my rep total on this upcoming event, but it will protect my bicep that will already be getting worked on the husa/keg carry event, on the Hercules hold, and save it for the atlas stone.
it may not necessarily make the lift easier, but for most with grip issues, it allows completion of a lift they may have likely failed otherwise...It’s not easier, and probably wouldn’t increase my rep total on this upcoming event, but it will protect my bicep that will already be getting worked on the husa/keg carry event, on the Hercules hold, and save it for the atlas stone.
Thank you - the pulls moved really well. It may not look like the most, but I was wrecked after it.Nice work!!!
Bro, just open it and say they shipped it like that . Then when she says, “imma call/email” just say, “nah, it’s here and opened lest just use it”

... nailed it...
Just bust it out and carry some stones.
We did open it last night! Just to touch it - it is definitely someone’s best rip-off of Spider Tack’s formula, which we love but is $35/big tub. This Cerberus stuff is free to her as a sponsored athlete, so we’re excited to try it.Just bust it out and carry some stones.
I have had some serious shin splints the last couple days from running the keg in my flat cushion-less Reebok Nanos, but I’m glad to know what I’m capable of! This weekend I’ll use some cushy running shoes to practice lighter since I’ll be a week out, then use the grippy flat shoes again at the show.Congrats on the PR! Good to hear grip is improving!
Yeah being bruised right there just sucks!!!I have had some serious shin splints the last couple days from running the keg in my flat cushion-less Reebok Nanos, but I’m glad to know what I’m capable of! I can’t wait to be able to bench again lol
Maybe it’s in my head but I think the pain is getting worse, not better. Today is my last day trying to use it for any pressing - I am going to coast my anterior upper body strength through the show to rest it.Yeah being bruised right there just sucks!!!
Nope, but it doesn’t hurt unless you press on the outside half of the palm. It’s not swollen or bruised or anything. Basically ONLY pressing is a real pain. And the grip of my outer hand is considerably weaker, but I have a lot of closed thumb grip strength at least.Hate to hear that the hand feels like it is getting worse. Are you icing it regularly?
Didn’t do anything differently than usual as far as nutrition timing goes, and no GDAs or anything at play, so it doesn’t make sense - but I did wake up very cold and felt generally fatigued for no reason, so who knows. More importantly I got my squat in while resting my shoulder for CDB tomorrow.Yeah blacking out with 400lbs on your back is no bueno!!! I agree, it could be blood sugar with those symptoms.
It always is. I can almost taste it now ?Sounds like an enjoyable night of grubbing!
Very likely that is the case with the IGF-1 being a factor their. It always is. I can almost taste it now
On that note, I feel like I’ve been eating a lot but still holding weight well, and pumps have been noticeably bigger in the gym - wondering if the higher IGF-1 levels from the CJC/MK combo are responsible?
Hand is basically only in pain if I try to press weights - it’s definitely healing finally.
Lol it’s pretty calculated. There is very little fat and only carbs I very easily digest to promote muscle saturation/rehydration. The drink is cane sugar, not fructose. There will also be a rotation of sweet/savory to keep the food going down easy, and then pizza for the finisher because I can’t eat when sleeping so the fats get more calories in.Looks similar to my Friday night “meal’ aka eat whatevz from 7pm until I pass out lol
Have you thought about adding glycerin to that to help with rehydration?Lol it’s pretty calculated. If cutting real amounts of weight I would be using jasmine rice & soy sauce with potassium tabs in lieu of mac n cheese, but I will be trimming 5lbs or less for this weighin.
In JM Blakley’s Secrets of Bodyweight Manipulation articles, he basically says that he never found it to make an appreciable difference in the end result of rehydration for him, and overdoing it gives some guys problems.Have you thought about adding glycerin to that to help with rehydration?
Bahahaha I actually drove to my favorite restaurant, an all you can eat made to order place for $14+tip. But I forgot they’re closed on Mondays, so I went for the low-grade at the Chinese buffet down the road. I will not be deniedThat can only mean one thing
