HumaPro (again?)

I have used HumaPro for about 2-3 years instead of whey and really enjoy it. Its hard for me to say that its better than whey, but its more convenient and taste better

In the beginning I used it before meals, but lately I have used HumaPro before and after training. HumaPro is quite expensive, is it worth the money?

Here is a post by Author Rea on facebook today:
So, do you believe HumaPro® is just another "amino acid formula"? Did you know that insulin, HGH, HCG, IGF-1, thyroid hormones, sex hormones and others are "just amino acid formulas"? Obviously some amino acid formulas have far more dramatic effects than others. Meat, whey, fish and chicken are just whole foods the body has to digest, break into amino acids before it has any physiological lean tissue value, remove those amino acids that are out of ratio to body needs or convert them to glucose. The HumaPro® formula is what's left after all the digestion and metabolism is finally complete thus is used 99% for protein synthesis (lean tissue repair and building).

Drop the Bro-Science and read the real facts validated by several prestigious independent studies. You will understand why back to back studies have shown HumaPro® to be 500% more anabolic than whey protein and 5.6 times more concentrated than whey protein. Whey is good; HumaPro® is better and less expensive. Science moved ahead of whole food protein powders years ago. Have you?

I saw PA liked a Amino Acid product that is similar to HumaPro:

Amino Matrix V 2.1 by Optimum EFX

NO just an overpriced EAA blend save your money and don't support s#!t companies like ALRI

What is overpriced for one may not be for another. I know people who use it like its going out I style.

I use it during cuts. Less calories equal more fat loss. I like the flavors other then orange. When it comes to amino chains that is what protein is.

I cannot say its better then whey. I can say it is better for a cut when you want to keep cals low. 10 cals per serving.

I will submit that there is not the advertised protein, but it keeps the nitric levels up and a nice break from water.

i like humapro....i use it to supplement my protein powders though, even though ppl have had success replacing all their whey powder with it

not saying i agree but lets assume what they say is correct, each scoop of humapro is 25g's of protein....and i got these prices from NP

Humapro 90 servings $55, 25g's of protein per serving
Optimum Gold 72 servings $56, 24g's of protein per serving

i went with optimum because it's a popular protein.....in that case humapro is actually cheaper than whey protein in some cases

If I'm not mistaken, Humapro does not equal 25g's protein. Its marketing spin that the amino acid profile is equivalent to what you would find contained within 25g's protein.

i don't know this is straight from their site:

Super Concentrated: *1 serving of HumaPro® = a Whole Food Protein Equivalent of 25g averaged, with only 0.02 calories per serving†
1 serving of HumaPro®: 0.02 Calories, *25g Protein, 0g Carbs & 0g Fats.
4 oz. of Chicken Breast: 130 Calories, 24.20g Protein, 0g Carbs & 23.95g Fats.
5 oz. Lean Beef: 361 Calories, 24.38g Protein, 0g Carbs & 28.40g Fats.

i can't however find out what the * means on their site

i bought pill form and am happy with it. the only problem is that you need to take 4-7 pills 3x a day!!

The * means "the whole food protein equivalent"...the amount of aminos you would find in 25g's protein....this does not mean the inverse relationship 5.15g's BCAA+EAA equals 25g's protein.

Misleading for sure. I'm not saying it is a bad amino product. If it were true everyone would be getting huge off amino acids alone...

while ppl are in here.....anyone try and use the humapro powder as an intra workout drink? i've been using half scoop of humapro and half scoop of recoverpro intraworkout...i dont overload my aminos intraworkout like most, but so far it's been a pretty cost effective intraworkout

I've used humapro many times. I noticed I didn't lose strength or size while using it. I took that as a sign it does work. The only thing I did not like was hunger issues, or being satisfied ( no mystery as to why I don't compete in physique comps- dieting sucks ). I found HP works best while using a diet like the warrior diet, or cbl.

Another solid aa supp I like is mass tabs and or ultra 40 from beverly nutrition.

I remember Coop said HumaPro/Rea was dumb for adding L-Tryptofan in the formula. I haven't made me sleepy yet..:)

Right now I am using Modern BCAA pre. and post-workout.

That post from facebook is utter nonsense. Are all the amino acids in Humapro bound together and folded into a tertiary configuration to elicit precise induced-fit binding to hormone receptors? If the author of that post honestly believes what he wrote, best to stay away from those purchases.

It has much more than 10 calories per serving. You, like others, have been deceived

Humapro has 5.15 grams of protein, not 25g. It's BCAAs plus a bunch of aromatic amino acids.

Here's something funny:

BCAAs and aromatic amino acids use the same transporter. This is the reason BCAAs purportedly diminish fatigue (preventing tryptophan entry into the brain).

So why would you put free forms of every BCAA with every aromatic amino acid? So the gut transporter can be overwhelmed?

A single 5g scoop of Leucine or a scoop of Modern BCAA > this product, and much much cheaper.

Dont know what to think about Author L. Rea but have been using Humapro for about a year 1 Scoop every hour and cut my other protein intake down to a minimum and it really helped me to build some new muscle and get way leaner than before. I also no longer feel bloated all day from all the protein waiting to get digested. I agree the marketing is abit fishy but dont hate on a product before trying it out. Just my 2 cents

How many scoops per day? How does your diet look like?

I usially take 16 scoops HP per day. My diet normally are random things like cereals for breakfest or a sandwich on my way to work. For lunch and dinner pasta or something like that. Doesnt really track my diet and macros iam naturally lean and ripped. Although I cut my protein intake down I dont mind having a steak or fish here and there.

Are you rich or sponsored?:)

I also like the "feel" HumaPro give me, maybe I will try a diet like yours when trying to get ripped..

Yeah money is not an issue and owning a company is also a great thing as I can go and drink my Humapro when I want to.
I think its well suited for a cut, take less HP when you bulk and more meat, whey,.... but when you are dieting make sure to try it atleast for one week. Believe me you will get atighter waist in no time although slamming down the carbs.

Obviously no one read what coop wrote lol

I value Coop's opinion very much.. I would like Author to have a debate with Coop concerning HumaPro.

I remember Author having a lengthy discussion with M.Lobliner concerning Xtend vs Chain'D Out. Author came out the "winner" and they ended their brawl..:)

Author often gets bashed by people who are simply putting there opinion down to what is wrote on paper in some studies. But Author actually invested money and founded some studies about Humapro and Chaindout, which is very rare in this industry. In my opinion Author is trustworthy as is Patrick Arnold.

Just read this:

alrindustries*com/articles than go to Protein and muscle Part 1 and 2 (sry cant post links yet)

I think he has convinced me once again.
What does coop has to say about this? Would like to hear his opinion.

I have no horse in this race and don't really care to waste time debating. I'm looking out for the consumer here, whereas Author has a product to sell, so take each of our "opinions" for what they're worth

Thats ok, thanks for answering in this thread.
