How many stims do you a day?

I recently tried to take a stim break this included not getting more than 100mgs of caffeine a day. I am having a pretty hard time managing this though.
I really LOVE the effect the stims has on my mood and focus. I normally use them before a workout in the morning and in the evening when I sit down to play some computer games, some of the games require a lot of focus and energy.
I do not consume huge amounts of stimulants. I try not to go above 300mgs of caffeine a day, but still I am wondering if this is too much every day?

Do you guys experience that you have to increase dosage from time to time to feel the desired effect?

How much do you guys consume? I know some of you in here BigT for example takes a lot more ;)

Right now, zero stims. Typically 200-400mg of caffeine, 25-50mg of 1,3dim.

If you are looking for a stim-free mood boost, check out nootropics, especially Picamilon.

I take 300mg with 25mg ephedrine just for pre-workout. Throughout the day I probably take in about 600mg give or take, but more while I'm dieting.

Stim sensitivity and tolerance vary from person to person. Personally, I go through cycles of stim use and complete cessation. I know how I react to them and once I find myself building tolerance, I'll go completely off for anywhere from three to six weeks and those first 3 days or so suck, but I find that as I build tolerance, my overall performance and well being start to degrade. Just have to bite the bullet sometimes.

I went through a rough caffeine withdrawl about 2 years ago when I decided to stop all caffeine intake cold turkey. I was taking way too much of the stuff and it was having all sorts of negative effects on my sleeping patterns and mental well being.

It was some tough ****. Was in a bed for about a week, couldn't really do much. Suffice to say I haven't taken any caffeine or stimulants since then. Maybe a cup of tea or some chocolate here and there if that even counts.

I'd probably say I'm more sensitive to it than most people, but you'd be surprised how bad the withdrawal can be for some. I personally believe way too many people are addicted and don't even know.

Agreed. A lot of these people can't live without there pre-workout products or stimulants. Just because its not illegal doesn't mean your not a drug addict.

But does it really matter if you are a drug addict but still functioning? It is not like it is heroin that slowly kills you, it is stimulants that helps you perform better. Caffeine actually has some pretty healthy benefits... in moderation of course.

A valid question, but it could be used in regards to any drug use. Stimulants in general aren't all that great on the central nervous system, especially for prolonged usage and high dose. As someone has mentioned earlier, people react differently and have varying degrees of tolerance to this stuff.

I just believe a lot of the benefits stimulants have can be achieved without the use of them, but really the larger problem here is that many people think caffeine is completely harmless because it's legal and put in near everything we drink.

It is when you go off of the stimulants that you will have a problem. The only reason your still functioning is because of the stimulants.

Yes exactly. I know so many people at work who can't function correctly without their cup of coffee in the morning. Too many people have become dependent on it and don't even realize it, or they have and don't think it's a big deal.

Until they stop. Then they find out real quickly.

My biggest concern with stim overuse is the negative effect it has on the adrenals.

That's also another main reason I stopped all stimulant usage. I have been convinced for the last couple of years that I suffered from adrenal fatigue.

it isn't just people....i read where cowboys found out about coffee from their horses. everytime they tied their horses around a certain bunch of trees the horses would keep them up all night, they finally figured out the horses were eating coffee beans.

i don't cycle off stims, and even though i have a high tolerance i adjust this by varying the stims i use, instead of just upping the dose on 1 certain stim-

it works for me.

Just say your addicted, its easier.

I'll just say it's a good thing I rep for the company that makes one of the strongest stim based pre workouts on the market.

A gram of caffeine a day is normal. I've never taken a break and I am starting to consider it.

Hi my name is SouthPaw and I'm a stim addict. It all started when Governor Wiener accidentally sent me pics of...never mind. I take Dexaprine twice a day, and 3 caps of alpha-t2 throughout the day. I could be addicted to worse things, like online porn...oh wait....

lol-governor weiner..............

The thing is you guys use so many/much stimulants that pretty soon OTC stuff isn't going to cut it anymore for you....I'm not saying it will happen to you, but never say never. Also, some of the stuff OTC right now is pretty close to methamphetamine.

I just take them pre-workout on lifting and cardio days only, which is 4 times a week. I do well with just 2 Recreate pills a day, nothing too crazy. I also like to use some Yohimbine (2.5-5mg) for an extra oooomph in the bed when I'm off Test and Proviron.

Agreed on the addiction issue. I have made improvements since I was popping 75mg Ephedrine, 600mg caffeine, and 10mg Yohimbine for about 1 year straight when I was in college back in 2002. It was a b!tch coming off all those stims.

So you're claiming that caffeine and 1,3 are "gate way drug/supplements"?

I know you're not a fan of stims but that is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard.

Ahhh sh!t man my pre workout ain't cutting it. I'm gonna drive to the west side and buy some rock!!

I'm not claiming anything, it just seems like logical progression to me. You sure put that a funny way though.

I have a lot of caffeine. Like way too much. I've had some serious side effects from when I first tried to lower my intake. Sometimes at work I'll have up to 400-500mg.

Besides that, however much 3,3 is in AT2 (3 caps). That also has methyl-synephrine and rawoulscine HCL.

lol-if that were the case then i would have to move to the westside.

I'm really not that dependant on them. Remember I am not doing much more than 100-300mgs of caffeine a day. I could stop using them if I wanted to, but I just think the pros are worth the cons in this case.

It is true you will experience issues when you get of the stims if you are addicted, but if stim-usage is kept moderate. Why would you even want to get off them? I know the side effects, but they would probably only occur from heavy stim use.

I have never really heard of any serious side effects from people who consumes moderate amounts of caffeine. Most studies today actually proves the opposite, how caffeine actually helps the heart, reduces insulin resistance and so on. I might me ignorant, if so please enlighten me. I mean no disrespect :)

How do you cycle your stims, I am very interested in seeing how you do that. I would like to prevent tolerance as much as possible of course :)

i just use 1 stim for awhile then switch off to another, or use varying combinations. different stims seem to effect me in different ways, by changing them up i never have to get ridiculous on the amount of any 1 stim.

2 scoops wyked a day.. and usually a sugar free monster.. on bad days 2-3 energy drinks. been trying to cut back on those..but i'll NEVER give up Wyked :D

Invalid Link Removed I'm sure there is more info but that is just something I got from a quick google search.

Well you don´t get a caffeine overdose from moderate consumption ;)

I don't really see how caffeine would help the heart in any way. I really don't see the benefit for caffeine at all actually, at least not in the long run. Caffeine by its vary nature is a vasoconstrictor which increases blood pressure, particularly around the brain which is why many people who are hooked on caffeine have headaches if they stop intake.

I will agree with you that at moderate dosages caffeine may have some positive effects. The problem here is how long you've been taking caffeine, not necessarily the dosage. Most people have been drinking caffeine for years so it's difficult for them to discern any side effects associated with caffeine intake. Even if you consume caffeine at moderate to low levels, if you do it for years it adds up.

Yup I'm a 3-5 scoops of wyked kinda guy lol 3 scoops before weights and 2 either before cardio or during work. That's only till I find a hook up for meth then I'm done with OTC stims ;)

j/k

Just replace the word marijuana with caffeine

Thurgood: I'm here today because I'm addicted..to caffeine.
Rehab patient: You in here 'cuz of caffeine?! Man, this is some BULL****!
Bob Saget/Cocaine addict: Caffeine is not a drug. I used to suck **** for coke.
Rehab patient: I seen him [do it]!
Bob Saget/Cocaine addict: Now that's an addiction, man. You ever suck some **** for caffeine?
Thurgood: No, I can't say I have.
Bob Saget/Cocaine addict: I didn't think so.
Rehab patient: Boo this man!

:lmao: thats about right ahaha

O man, I've been at around 300mg of caffeine for a good......ugh 5 years, I need a stim break!

I'll have a 44 oz of dr pepper with vanilla flavor shots in it once or twice a week.I'll also use an energy drink from time to time ass lightning I'll use here and there.I'm already a pretty up beat hyper guy so all I need is a little caffeine here and there and I'm good to good.

I get nothing from energy drinks like Red Bull or Monster

200mg Caffeine when wake up ED, 1 scoop maximize v.2 pre-workout 4X per week. Very rarely, if I need it, I'll sip on 1 scoop maximize over work for 12 hours, but thats 1 day a week tops if I get less sleep or something for some reason.

Mike
