but how many days after your injection do your levels get tested. Because it does drop every day. It will be a fraction at day 10 of what it was on day 2

I always thought ideal range for health and longevity was around 700-800....regardless of age

Actually, according to my lab work it shows normal ranges between 300-1080
Ya but you know what I mean by healthy. I wouldn't settle for anything that low. I'm talking about feel good high end test levels within the natural range

Would you want your levels between 300-500? Especially if you were injecting it? Probably not
Oh I completely agree. I would never want it that low. I know how I felt. But was just commenting on what labs say is "normal range"

I plan on speaking to the doc about injecting at home soon.

Last time I ordered the price went up a little. Not bad.
walgreens went to safety syringes...from a quarter apiece to a buck fifty each. the draw needles are still a quarter.

No, I use an online company and have a box of 100 shipped to the house. Same price for years.

Edit: Just checked my order receipts. $28.19 for a box of 100 for the last 2 years.
if cvs can't do better than walgreens I might go online also!!!

no, that was my dose for about 8 years, then I got polycythemia [too much blood] and they took me off for awhile then when blood dropped to normal asked if I wanted back on at half dose...I've been at 200mg every 2 weeks[I actually use 100mg weekly]for over 2 years now.

my best advice is if they tell you x amount every 2 weeks just say ok, and go to cvs and buy some extra needles...

btw-anyone else notice that they raised the cost of needles[syringes]?
I’ve noticed the cost rise also. Even tho heroin addicts don’t use IM needles, I’m sure it has something to do with it.

5 years - no way stopping ever, lol. all health markers great at age 50+. cardio or weights every day - 98% "clean" diet = great health.

52mg every other day (averages to 180mg/week but allows not to need any AI) <--- this new protocol being done due to negative health impacts of AI's in males, as work done by Dr. Rousier show. Dr.s Kominiarek and Nichols already started doing this way - Dr. Crisler (RIP) was last hold-out, but he too was going to start dropping AI with his patients too, after trying on self. Anecdotally with me, no AI helped tremendously with tendons/ligaments - can stretch way further now - test for me was the stretch where it kind of indian-style but soles touching - and you try to press knees to floor. before trt (AI) knees go all the way down... after AI knees well off floor and pain when trying... off AI and knees back down to floor. Dr. Kominiarek have DEXA in office - he see bad bone density loss in 40+ men on AI.

How did you guys go about getting your doc to test for a more in depth hormone profile?

-free test
-E2
-Prolactin
-DHT
-LH/FSH
-PSA*

My doc is only testing my total testosterone right now....I want to bring this up without insulting his ego (I'm afraid he may give me a hard time with TRT).

Edit: He just seems very traditional in his thoughts, and has been a little resistant to other things I've mentioned. Weirdly enough he didnt hesitate to start the TRT

that may be best way if you can pay. in US, Discounted Labs is usually best deal and they have discount codes (as does PrivateMD).

testing a ton of stuff is nice, but if trying to save money, i see no need (IMO, please correct) for prolactin or dht. dht will be what it will be from 5ar of test - as long as total and free test are brought to top range, dht seems waste of money - what? also go on masteron/proviron for trt? I wouldn't $$$

if already "on" LH/FSH waste to me - it'll be suppressed. If on HCG, it usually for atrophy and general "well being" if the "boys" look good and you feel good - it working.

PSA good if never done to get a baseline, especially if over 45 - no sex (including self, lol) for about 3 days before blood draw or false positive can happen.

if I Bill Gates, i get every labcorp test, lol. but as poor me, i pick and choose.

From what I've read, it's not necessary unless you're trying to have kids, or concerned with testicles size.

Ball size, sperm count and... The big one, amount of semen produced with an orgasm. I have heard the general bell being is based on a higher test level because you are producing some on your own with HCG.
If you feel good in all those places, no point really.

Well, I was fixed years ago. And didn't think I needed HCG. But Dr. Henry said, it was necessary due to the affects of TRT on the LH so therefore, HCG was necessary even if I was never gonna have kids again.

Ok, but it just turns on the leydig cells to produce testosterone, which trt does for you. Is there something else I'm missing?

Well, I never went for into it with him, but from my own research into it. Since I was going to be using it. This is what I found: Why would the testicles shrink, you wonder?* Testosterone from an outside source turns off the hypothalamus/pituitary secretion of LH, and therefore, the testicles stop producing sperm and testosterone.* This is why ejaculate volume and testicles can shrink in men taking testosterone.* This, usually, is not a huge issue if the drug is not abused.* HCG helps keep this from happening.

He isn’t well versed on TRT. 200 mgs EOW is old out dated protocol. Find another dr if you want to avoid major issues with roller coaster hormones.

How do your feel at that number?

I ask because I started at 200/week and have been there over a year. I feel like I did at least 15 years ago, veiny and strong. But I do wonder if less would be the same...

@Rocket3015 have you ever had an issue with elevated SHBG? Or anyone else in this thread for that matter...

I am still waiting on some bloodwork to check mine, but it seems relatively common for those on TRT...

Nice bro! That's the plan here as well...my levels were so low doc went right to test cyp. Hes not an endocrinologist, so I'm easing him into this (as if I'm an expert haha).

Hes got me on the old EOW, 200 mg, protocol, but I plan on doing the I jections at home soon, and I will change it to once a week

Edit: and I need a referral from my doc to see endocrinologists
