That is what they started me on and my script is still for, but I find I feel better at 100mg weekly, if you can donate blood I would do that about every 90 days.

Ok, will do. It's kind if nice just showing up to the office and having it done real quick for you. I just hope I start to feel better soon.

200 mgs EOW is old outdated protocol that’s been proven to do more harm than good. You’re levels go up and down too much instead of stay steady. The half life of test is only around 6 days tops. Cut your dose in half and pin 100 mgs per week.

I agree with this 100%...but I also suggest to not even bring it up-just do it on the DL.

I agree with that %
I go up and down too much with a weekly dose. I run half every Sunday and Thursday. I feel way better this way.

I'm about a year in and have not had any bad blood work or symptoms.
Of course everyone is very different and there will always be some anomalies.

If you have no prostate concern or heart issue going in, it really shouldn't be an issue...
Unless you are the one in a few million or have a **** dr

have you had blood issues on previous tests?
My first blood test after starting TRT I had a Hemocrit of 53, I believe. Doc told me I should probably donate, and I told him a buddy of mine told me about Grapefruit Seed Extract, and he kinda got excited and said "Yes, Do It. 1200mg a day". So thats what I'm doing now, and gonna check my blood soon again and see where I'm at now.
Though I can probably say my Hemocrit was bad from previous cycles before TRT. And not doing bloodwork or donating previously.

No worries...the more I think of it I've probably been suffering from Low T for a while....when I look back I've had the symptoms for a while.

It's a shame the doctors dont test for this along with the other routine bloodwork.
Pre-TRT was odd for me. I had all the classic symptoms of course but I was always “in the mood” but would have times where me and my girl would go for hours and I couldn’t get off. Found out later not just my test was bottomed out but my estrogen was too which explained that.
My blood is getting thicker now, but I’ve started taking baby aspirin once a day with my fish oil. My doc wants me to come out and dump blood when my HCT gets around 50-51, I’m at 48.8 right now. Hopefully you get a good doc that understands this medicine and protocols and cares about his people.

Well, my doc set it up for every two weeks, and I have to go to the pharmacy for the injection. I'm not sure how I would be able to go once a week on the DL without asking for a weekly injection..

After a few visits ask if for convenience you can pin yourself at home.
Yeah, good call. Would definitely make it easier...

I'm thinking since I was so low (100ng/dl) it may take me some time to feel better.

You need to find another dr ASAP or ask him to allow you to inject weekly and allow you to self inject.

Just tell him you are always pressed for time and you need to do it at home, should be no problem. You Dr will either show you how to do it or have a Nurse instruct you.

Yeah, he has been pretty receptive so far to what I've told him so this shouldn't be a problem.

Updated bloodwork one week after 200mg Test Cypionate: 450 ng/dl... up from 100 ng/dl

Starting to feel better as well. More energy, and a clearer head it seems. It may be a little early to notice body comp changes, but swear I look leaner.

100mg puts most ppl in the high normal range. Did your doc say anything about why your so low on these doses. Your responding to 200mg like a 50mg dose

my test level was very low when I was put on trt...doc had nurse give me a 400mg shot in the butt there in the office and a script for 400mg every 2 weeks, of course I did 200mg weekly...I felt pretty good right away, but it took at least a month to really see benefits...give it time!!!

no, that was my dose for about 8 years, then I got polycythemia [too much blood] and they took me off for awhile then when blood dropped to normal asked if I wanted back on at half dose...I've been at 200mg every 2 weeks[I actually use 100mg weekly]for over 2 years now.

my best advice is if they tell you x amount every 2 weeks just say ok, and go to cvs and buy some extra needles...

btw-anyone else notice that they raised the cost of needles[syringes]?

No, I use an online company and have a box of 100 shipped to the house. Same price for years.

Edit: Just checked my order receipts. $28.19 for a box of 100 for the last 2 years.
