Yeah, no way to measure without a parallel universe.
It enables me to hit body parts twice a week with decent load. Nothing else has worked to that end. Take BCAA for instance, they may completely eliminate DOMS but they don't make it possible to train same group in 4 days and get stronger, for me personally anyway. Now if I trained body parts once a week I would have never noticed a thing from HMB.
From my understanding, if you are cutting/recomping and in a caloric deficit, HMB would provide the most benefit as it is more anti-catabolic thus allowing you to train harder and or more frequently. However, if you are in a gaining phase where you are getting plenty of calories and protein, you may not benefit much. Bulk HMB-CA is cheap though ($50 or less for a one year supply) and you could always try it both ways to see for yourself.
I disagree. If training is intense enough causing the individual feeling ran down/taxing the CNS, HMB can still help by a large margin in the recovery department, whether caloric intake is high or not.
And from a recent study, HMB may not be best on a cut.
been on hmbfa for like 2 years straight
I tried HMB-Fa (Muscletech) for 3 months with a 6 workout a week routine where I hit all body parts twice. I felt my recovery was better and I could always put in the work needed.
Then I ran out and decided to try another Hmb-Fa product available to me from a Finnish supplement company. When opening it the first thing that struck me was that it wasn't liquid in the capsules but powder. And to my knowledge it only comes in liquid? Danes is on it and trying to figure this out. But after a couple of days on this brand my recovery took a serious hit. So after trying it for two weeks I jumped back on the Muscletech product.
Strafe sound interesting dsade I'll definitely read up on that.

And?
I currently work out 5-6 days a week and I would love to log Strafe! Evomuse doesn't disappoint and this is one product I have yet to try!Screw it....it has been a while. Let's do some Strafe logs and you tell me what not only Leucine and HMB do, but the other metabolites in there as well.
22 servings per jar, so I'll donate 2 jars to 3 people who want to try and slightly overtrain at 6 days a week.
