I have been taking this product for about a month now. It gives me headaches I have to take three before I can even feel anything. Sorry let me say that again if I dont take I get really bad headaches I mean sometimes I cant even get out of bed it hurt so much. What can I do??

Are you sure the headaches aren't from being Poop's wife?

j/k....just had to do it! ;)

And bump for reps - we'll get ya an answer!!!

poopyswife...in all honesty, if it's making you feel so bad, IMO, just deal with the pain for a day or two with some advil/excedrine and break the habit...

...It's probably the guarana, I've seen some adverse reactions to that stuff.

Or maybe try backing it down to 2 and then 1 per day, slowly...

Hopefullly MD, Dr.D or BigSmith can shed some better light than me, though

"...It's probably the guarana, I've seen some adverse reactions to that stuff." ~ PI

That's my opinion as well - I had the same reation - I went down to 1 pill and 1 Reset-AD and seemed to be fine - anything higher just cracked my head

I sent this up the chain for a better answer. Guarana? Maybe but this is not a standard guarana extract. This is a special methyl xanthine. It cannot be compared to standard guarana issues since this extract has never been used before to our knowledge.

We will get the root cause for you.

This is a common symptom of caffeine withdrawl. It should only last a couple days if you quit cold turkey, and within a week you should be back to normal.

Ibuprofin, tylenol, etc should help for the first day or two.

ya gusy shes backed down to one ed.... or at least tried... but if the headache even subsides for a short period it returns just as bad as before.... even 800mg ibuprofen arent helping....

shes hasnt been taking it all that long so the fact her tolerance was built up so fast is odd to me, she has to take 3 to even fel any stim like effects or thermo effects and if she doesnt take enough shell get headaches.... any insight would be helpful but i thnk quiting cold turkey will be her best bet.... any chance reset AD would help with reducing the sides of withdrawl quicker?

It's the absence of caffeine promoting a rebound headache I think. 400-800mg Motrin stacked with 500mg Tylenol and 100mg caff is a goon general migraine formula. Aspirin can be subbed for Motrin at a slightly higher dose in that same formula, if she prefers. She can take 100mg caff for every StimX she omits from her normal dose. Spread the caff out over about 12-16 hrs.

Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor too, right? So maybe there's a little something going on with that and high BP...just throwing that out there b/c nobody mentioned BP yet.

well its not an issue WHEN she takes it.. so its not likely that BP is an issue here.. its the withdrwl from a super strong stimulant extract like in stim X...

Ooops, sorry about that..I missed that last line of the OP...

thanks for the reply D ill share this with her if she doesnt see it first and see if we can ween her off it... prob gonna grab some reset AD though so whe wont have to worry bout high tolerance levels in the future and then the debilitating withdrawls that come from high dosed stims....

I get migraines really bad to the point of throwing up and RTD Muscle Milks have helped me. I don't know if it would help at all but it cant hurt.

It's hard to say and varies greatly from individual to individual. Caff may cause a slight elevation in one person's blood pressure, a sharp transient spike in another, or a lowering of BP in some. It's a vasoconstrictor centrally (that's why it alleviates migraine) but a vasodilator peripherally so anything goes and adenosine metabolism plays a big role in subjective response.

I don't know all the pharmacokinetics behind it, but some versions of tylenol include something like 60mg of caffeine BECAUSE of it's vasoconstriction capabilities as a synergist for headache relief.

It is a cranial vasoconstrictor, but not peripherally, just the opposite effect on the body.

Update well headaches are still here not as bad though but the sweating is killing me and I have hot flashes. I have tried hard to take myself off the x but the headaches are just too much for me to handle. Could it be from maybe pregnancy I just had my son almost three months ago. Maybe the headaches are a combo of things. Thanks everyone for you help. For everyone else. Yes Poopy has a wife. lol

Caffeine is an adenosine receptor antagonist, and therefore increases the number of adenosine receptors. When you take away caffeine you've still got all the adenosine receptors and will therefore be hypersensitive to its effects. The increased effects of adenosine due to caffeine withdrawal cause the blood vessels of the head to dilate, leading to an excess of blood in the head. This can cause headaches/nausea.

Caffeine tolerance can develop within 2 weeks.

Some studies show the tolerance to be even less depending on one's adrenal - of course caffeine is a diuretic, so ample water intake should be increased to prevent head-aches
