GMG760's cutting down for the San Diego Summer!

DC gets my seal of approval for brutality in the gym already.

As Brock Lesnar used to say, "Here Comes The Pain"!!!

Stick with this true DC routine for a while. Later, you might wind up tweaking it a bit as many of us have.

I love letting that last rep on that last rest-pause go negative real slow!!! Oh what glorious pain!!! :firedevil:

You've got me so freaking amped for this morning's workout. Which begins in 15 minutes.

By Odin, I'm going to "kill with power"!!!! :smashfreakB:
:aargh:

Whenever the TG steps in the building it's ON! :aargh:

OFF is not in TG's vocabulary!!

Badass! G on DC! I cant wait to see how this goes for you man! You are going to fall madly in love with routine! I kid you not I am only on my first C2 workout tomorrow and ALREADY I am seeing an all over body recomp. Chest shaping up. Lat are flaring more. Legs are hyuuuge!! Just wait for pics and I'll prove it! Man I haven't don't any cardio at all since I started the DC. It just wipes you out! Plus I've leaned out on just DC anyway! Kick some ass bro! :head:

I am so jealous of you guys getting to do this routine. I am taking notes for when my torn labia (aka bad back) heals up and I can actually push myself like I want to.

Those Vaj injuries are tough to get over!! Was it a lubricant problem?

Going to see Brock LIIIIIVEEEE in about 2 weeks. :woohoo:

That is one of the best cards in a long time. I just hope the fights live up to the hype. I am still hoping that UFC 102 comes to Dallas so that I can attend one in person!

I'd love for them to legalize in NYC - so I don't have to fly out to Vegas for this stuff.

I really like Mir a lot, but I am a huge Brock fan!

I'm very biased on this one. I want Brock to completely demolish Mr. Mir.
Frank was getting the shit beat out of him the last time they fought. Then he got that ankle lock on Brock. Brock has got to learn to avoid things like rear naked chokes, kimoras, ankle locks, etc.....
Easier said than done of course. But toe to toe, it's gonna take a monster to beat Brock.
He has damn near superhuman strength.
Kurt Angle said he has seen Brock in the gym routinely squatting 900+ and benching 600+.

That's incredible shizz!!! :smileeek:

I really can't see anyone choking out Brock with a Guillotine or a RNC, TG... The appendage submissions I can see (and we have) particularly the smaller joints... But Brock's neck is like a freaking tree.

The thing about the Brock/Frank match is that Brock is like 3 weight classes above Frank.

Brock should be a "superheavy" not a "heavy"... unfortunately there is nobody else to fight Brock that is his size. That being said, Brock is incredibly talented and fast for his size... almost superhuman.

But at the same time, it's kinda like watching a middleweight fight Tyson in his prime... most matches involving brock are gonna be short and sad.

I've always rooted for David before Goliath though.

Agreed... I'm not sure some of these guys have a big enough forearm to choke him out... and to even get to that point they would have to somehow get him to give up his back... which has yet to happen.

So today's workout is going to be my second DC workout... it's titled B1.

So, without further adieu, here is what it's gonna consist of.

1-Biceps
2-Forearms
3-calves
4-Hamstrings
5-Quads

1- Preacher Curl - 11-20 rp
2- Forearm reverse cable curl - straight sets 10-20 reps
3- Leg Press toe press - 10-20 reps
4- Seated Leg Curls - 15-30 rp
5- Squats 6-10 reps, 20 rep widowmaker

Let's do this!

Heavy set with 6 the low rep end and 10 the high...hit the high and increase the weight! Get some G!

Man, im goin to have to have yall help me with a new DC layout! All this DC talk making me wanna get back into it! Ill have to wait tho i think?

Keep building a solid foundation Teg. Get more comfortable with the workouts and then you can decide what's next.

Workout B2 Damage Report-

1 Preacher Curl - warm up 25'sx8, 35'sx8 rp4 rp5 = 17 reps
Bicep stretch
2 Forearm cable -50x11, 60x10 (wasn't sure if I was supposed to do a warm up or not... my warm up was kind of heavy for me... will adjust next time)
bicep stretch again
3 Leg Press Toe Press - 270x12... I wanted to die after this. I've never sweated from doing calves before... and I was dripping from this. Nothing but 5 minutes of agony.
4 Seated Leg curls - Warm up 70x10, 130x10 rp5 rp5 = 20 reps
Hamstring stretch
5 Squats - 275x6, 185x20. Squatting last is really brutal. I apparently have my work cut out for me!
Quad stretch - didn't really feel that I understand how to do this... did it to the best of my ability, but would appreciate some explanations as to how you guys do it... I know it is one of the most important extreme stretches.

This DC stuff is very different than what I am used to. I am really enjoying it so far... I am completely wiped after my workouts. This is such a nice change up for me. I really think my body should react well to it. Now to go eat!!!

Getting the hang of it G? It is a punishing style of w/o. Squatting and Dead lifting last is pretty brutal. I believe if these were first though, the other exersises would suffer from having shot your wad already. I go with a minute rest after biceps and jump right into the working set for forearms. They should be warm by then. The quad stretch is a tuff one to get a feel for. I ended up with my own method. How sore were you from Mondays session?

Ok, I'll just do one big forearm set then... probably should have just done 50lbs for 18-20 then... Thanks for the tip!

I was tired as hell yesterday. Pretty sore for the volume, more just worn out... DEEP SLEEP. I can tell I took it to my body, it just wasn't like one place hurt with DOMS it was just like my whole body was toast.

My legs are feeling it like crazy right now.

It is a much, much more physically exhausting workout than volume work.

It's funny because I had no desire to go to the gym yesterday... When working volume I want to go 7 days a week... I felt like I NEEDED the rest day... which is probably a good thing.

So you did only 1 set of warmups? I like doing it the way AZ does. 2 warm up sets of 10-12 reps, then a set for 8 reps (still a warmup), then the heavy rest pause set.

I'll have to do this. My biceps feel less worn out than the rest of me.

Its all good man. I'm still working out the kinks but I am seeing some major size gains. You will love the sh1t outa the routine!

brotha, DC is some cool stuff. i had to add in a bit more volume, but damn if this rest pause and stretching isn't the shiznit.

nice widows by the way :) 185x20 was my first widow set, and i'll never forget the pain.

I cant wait till I can widow 185 :fingersx:

My warm up sets have a two fold purpose: get blood going and to build up mentally for the heavy weight. I tried just doing 2 sets of lighter weight for alot of reps and then the heavy but the jump in weight would throw me off. So now I just build up to the heavy set with lower rep sets as the weight increases.

This w/o will beat you up. That is why we cruise for a week or two. As I have gotten older my blast periods have shortened. When I began DC'ing they would be 9-10 weeks...now I'm lucky if 6 happens. Can't wait for Friday G!

I know what you're saying with your warm-ups. I can't just do 1 warm-up set and then jump to the heavy ass weights I'm using on my work sets. On compounds I do 3 or 4 pyramids up to my heaviest work set. And even on isolation moves I'll hit at least 2 warm-ups before my all out heavy set.

But I have always said that my workouts are tailored after Dorian Yates' workouts. Check out his training on youtube. His Blood and Guts video stuff on there is amazing and inspiring to behold.
I'm not training DC per se. Never have. Still seems like not enough volume for me. Plus there's no isolation exercises. My volume still seems to be much lower than most people's though. Some bodybuilders' routines look like they're doing endurance training!

I've seen lots of big, strong dudes on youtube training pure DC and achieving awesome results.

Best of luck to you and Metroba on this stuff G-$.
I'm sure you and Rob will make mad gains off of DC if you pour your whole heart and souls into those sets, holding nothing back!! :head:

instead of say, 1x12, 1x10 then your working set(s)....you do 1x8,1x6 then your working set(s)???

Tom... before this turns into something ugly, just go to intensemuscle.com and start reading.
