THE RAG EFFECT Got another swift kick of energy which was nice!! I had to work today, got little sleep cuz I was playing the new COD game, and did 2-3 hours of algebra homework pre workout. Wasnt feeling it to much, but rag picked me up and I kicked some ass, well atleast in my back. No runs /discomfort or anything else, very very vascular today :)

THE LIFT Wow I need to bring a calculator... I butchered my chest by mistake. I kept thinking wow this is effin heavy and then rep 2-3 rack it... find out I added wrong 3x in a row. Oh well.

Nailed prs in the row, worth it. My tris were still sore and entire body is feeling pretty pumped still, except my chest lol. Oh well, right quad is feeling better as well. Legs tomorrow!

Thanks man, I nailed liek 2-3 incline bench prs but that wasnt my goal lol.

new rag is def good, emptier the stomach the less gas. Im noticing a patter from lots of gas to none :)
 
yeah i second that on the gas...i ussually cant take it on an empty stomache and the gas is real bad
 
i like to workout early on an empty, so that works out good.

I meant the more in my stomach, the more the gas :P I usually wait 1.5 hours after eating for lifting but today I went liek 3 hours almost.

Lifting on a full stomach, Id die!! Xtend intra workout ftw!

I subbed bb rows for pend rows.

Idk about ruining my lumbar, my form is perfect :P Maybe I'm putting lots of stress the lumbar part of the spine, but I sure dont feel it at all!!

I may sub back bb rows, my goal was 225 on pend and I just nailed that last week who knows? lol

THE RAG EFFECT Badass energy again, loving the energy kick from Rag! Excellent pump in my legs as well. Once again NO gas/discomfrot/bloating etc. Less food = side free is what Im willing to say :)

THE LIFT Ok well squats are low, why? I was squatting 250-300 ez np for a while but I didnt like my technique, so I reset the weight to 225 to figure out where I went wrong. My knees would get wobbly and getting out of parallel was a bitch. Going about 3-4 inches BELOW parallel now, not ATG but def lower than I was before.

Effing owned on deadlifts, I have no problem pulling with explosive power its that pushing crap. Note to self: do not go atg on front squats with cross arms, I will choke.

All in all, I killed the lift :)
 
on the front squat, get the 18 inch powerlifting straps, rap them around the bar and hold those. Ure front squat will go up about 30% instantly. Holding it on ure shoulders is a balancing act and takes away so much from the excercise.

Like the wraps people use for dling n stuff? idk cuz I never use any type of stuff. Ya I like using the sntach grip to keep it balanced better, you can sorta adjust it the entire time.

Before parallel youre putting lots of stress on the knee as well, idk below parallel makes my legs big?
 
watch out for your knees, if you develop knee problems you will be sorry. i have to limit activity because of bad knee, it has impacted my life. better safe than sorry.:cheers:
 
yeah i dunno ive never seen much literature on butt to ground doing anything special aside from more stress on the knee. It may be out there but i havent seen it. My ortho said anywhere past ninety and the strain on ligaments increases exponentially.....

Yeah for front squats most guys at my gym just use the lifting straps without the foam pads and hold them. Its a clean grip but just incredibly more comfotable and easy on the wrists.

Ill prolly stop goign beyond parallel as well, gonna take some getting use to stopping early tho :P

Some guy in my gym has had knee problems, he benches 350-400 and cant squat more than 150lbs. He blames it on squatting so Ill def take that into consideration. Hes only 45ish.

Most people just say that because they have chicken legs and dont feel like squatting. I squatted 550 before my knee reconstruction and i plan to do 405 for ten plus reps easy in six months......Dont believe that. I hear that crap all the time. "Shut up and Squat."

just be careful, and pay attention to your body. scope/knee replacement/knee brace have nothing to do with MANNING up. knee problems are serious business.:cheers:

I know knee issues are serious...Especially after hearing my knee snap and yelling on the feild in agony. However, how many people in your gym dont deadlift "because they have bad backs", dont sprint becasue "my knees hurt" and walk on a teadmill or bike instead or dont incline because they have "bad shoulders." Real injuries arent a joke and if you got a torn labrum i understand why ure not inclining but most people got a torn labia if you ask me.

The guy in my gym has had 40% and 60% of his cartilidge removed out of his knees. He was in football when he was younger and tore his ACL and PCL. So its actually that he messed stuff up. I dont wanna go through this so Im sticking to parallel, thanks for the wake up call :)

THE LIFT Def was a good lift today, smashed it! Only thing that got me mad is clowns asking me about gym questions when Im not working. Let alone the person was talking just to make a convo, christ...

My palms have been really sweaty as of late, idk why, but it makes my grip suck. Not a big deal tho. I didnt improve on seated row, some guy was shadowing me and I was working in w/ him. Oh well legs n db's tomorrow!
