Word. Argula, baby spinach and a minute amount of Romain is my go-to (when I do eat it).

Have to get used to it. Its like chewing on nothing and swallowing air. On the other hand, it may train jaw muscles. Will concentrate on opening my mouth slower (time under tension), like 3 seconds down/ 1 second up. Cows do that too. Great jaw muscles on cows. :)
 
Well, hell... he just basically described most of a chapter of my book. Although I do delve into ways to convert WAT to BAT, and the effects of fasting-induced increases in GH release and cortisol on WAT and BAT, as well as the differences in VAT and SAT and how each responds differently to various hormones, including androgens.

HGP, looking great man, and from the looks of it I think you are closer to that 15% than you think and are definitely going to end up under 10% if you keep on trucking the way you are.

Thank you! Starting to get a feeling for my new nutrition. The body begins to signalize when it needs something. Sounds preposterous -but it does. Woke up today and had "meat cravings", something unexpected, never had before. Broke my IF and ate half of a chicken breast. For additional fat I downed 3gr of fish oil. Yesterday was an exhaustive gym day -and apparently I needed more protein for repairs.
I'm totally sold to it. I mean, you always talked about nutrition -I registered -but never LISTENED. Now with Spurfy chiming in, I really paid attention to it. What a life changing experience. I see food now as a tool -not as a fix for cravings.

Yeah, it really is pretty amazing isn't it? Spurfy really impresses me quite a bit. I REALLY can't wait to see this book he is talking about. You know I want that bad boy!

Me too! He has to finish his book while fasting, that keeps him occupied.
 
10/10 agree. There's just no way he doesn't end up shredded as long as he keeps this up.

Absolutely, and looking at his physique I think he is already VERY close to 15% if not there already. It is quite obvious to those of us in the know that he has very little subcutaneous fat on his abdomen, and his extremities, especially legs are very lean so I think he is further along then he thinks for sure!

I was listening to something the other day that was talking about this self regulation of food intake and they’ve actually tested this theory in animals as well as seeing examples of it in practice in humans.

This article is interesting (basically babies/young children given the choice of what to eat from 33 different things all ate different amounts of different things and what they were eating changed all the time but they all grew up healthy - I.e their bodies dictated what they needed at any given point

I actually found the animal stuff even more interesting. Monitoring free range herds showed they ate a massive variety of plant matter and varied intake of different types of plant matter (and therefore vitamins and minerals daily), belief was they were self regulating on what they needed so there were studies done which proved it. They even did studies where a foodstuff was offered to cattle that were set with a deficiency in something, they ignored it, that same foodstuff was enriched with what they were deficient in and the cattle (think it was goats) started eating it......interesting stuff
 
I think it's great that even though this is an anabolics forum and anabolics are involved, feeling great and looking great (especially as we get older) is not all about deadlifting 1000lbs and trying to get 21 inch arms whilst eating 8000 cals a day.

Granted that still has its place on here.

Today is carb day with "pump session" in the gym. Tomorrow is "heavy gym day". Will keep the carb loading lower this time, around 300gr, mainly fruit juices (pulp with seeds and peels) and white rice is used. No more excessive amounts of noodles and bread with marmalade.
Body weight did not change the last 4 days but seeing positive changes anyway.
Now doing daily crunches at home to enhance abs. Feeling great and ready to roll.

I guarantee eating 8,000 calories a day and pulling a grand don’t belong in the same sentence as “feeling great” ever

I have honey! Self harvested from wild bees, no joke. We have here species of bees who don't sting. Their honey is black, very delicious.
Does honey have benefits for bodybuilding -or the kind of diet I'm on?

The Key is to find local honey. When I moved to Oklahoma 30 years ago I all of a sudden got bad allergies. Had a Dr tell me to use local honey. after about 2 years hardly any allergies. I got lucky. There is a guy that sales local honey 8 miles from my house. The nice thing is that the grocery store 2 miles from my house now sales his honey (Now that his son runs it). cost a little more but don't have to deal with his mean a ss dogs anymore.

Yes there are definite benefits, one being that the honey will really help the insulin spike, to shuttle the carbs in more quickly. Not to mention all of the other benefits from honey.

Sounds like his might even be from his own land. So should really help.

Speaking of Honey I gave about 6lbs of honeycomb to the workers that are doing my windows. I just had to have the bees frozen out of there, which is not toxic but I also didn't want to deal with the mess from the honey. So I just cut the hive out of the window space and put it in a trash bag for the contractors to take home with them.
 
Quick side track hairygrandpa. I believe you raise the Tilapia, how long does it take to raise them to harvest size?
 
My Dad was a beekeeper for over 30 years. After he passed away I moved all of his equipment to the barn and sold the bees. I keep thinking I'll set up some hives and start again, but I just don't have the time. It's a shame, because un-processed honey is a lot different than 90% of what you can buy in stores.

Fun fact; honey is the 3rd most counterfeited food.

I love real honey. Store honey is great too, even though it's not real, but real honey is something else

If you have only males, 8 months until they are 1-2 lbs. Can't keep females and males together, unless you have constant water flow, renewing the pond.
Once females begin breeding, they release a hormone into the water stunning the growth of all tilapias.
 
Gym was exhaustive. Pumped every muscle up until veins were popping, while drinking fruit pulp with electrolytes, glycerol and sugar.

With other words, don't put tilapia in a pond. You will end up with tons of it, but only inches long, unless you have a creek running through and some predators to kill off most of the brood. If you start with 200 little tilapia, 100 males and 100 females, after 4-5 month each female will give birth to thousands of fish. They don't eat their brood and hide them in their mouth.
 
I solved the tilapia problem by building a very deep lake (4.5m - 14.7 feet), meaning, my fish can settle on the ground in winter and don't die. They die when water temp goes below 60F and the pond is too shallow. I renew water eod with a well pump to get rid of the growth stunning hormones and I have 70 ferocious trahira wolf fish as predators.
Meaning, I don't have to buy new fry every year, they multiply freely -BUT they don't grow as fast as "male only" would. Pond holds between 4000-6000 pound of fish year around, that means high feeding costs, unless I fertilize water for algae bloom (they eat algae) -but that changes the taste of the fish (they taste like pig sh1t, if you use pig sh1t to fertilize).

Tilapia is ideal for home breeding if you use only a few males, with controlled water temp (70-85F) in small (plastic?) ponds (maybe 20 fish in 1000 gallons), feeding them the cheapest dog -or cat food you can find.

The trick with local women is: Let them speak and try to look interested, nod often. After about an hour of nodding, make a bold compliment, then a slight dirty joke.... works every time. Don't make them angry, LOL. They may stab you or worse.
