Nice job bro! You did get a bit fidgety but not too bad! Killed it!

I duno. A box of minute rice usually and some plums lol

Sometimes I add potatoes

Ya know after I looked at my food log for today 400g is within reach... so... nevermind haha. I actually need more carbs and less protein. Rice should do nicely :)

Random pic from the gym. Have video as well that I will post with my update.

Summary:
Day 10 of get cut or die trying.

Last day of a successful run of lifting 9 days out of 10. Why successful ? No injuries. Nice relaxing Sunday with ample energy for anything. Unfortunately, I just wanted to relax and rest up. No reason….just needed a mental break. That’s what Labor day weekend is for. Diet was especially on point today. What I am going to try to do is to get into some low carb, high protein macros for the next week. With all the lifting, I realize I need protein more than ever to rebuild. I have gotten up to 200 grams recently. My goal now is to get up to 250 grams of protein and limit myself to apx 100 grams of carbs. If I can go lower on carbs, I certainly will. Let’s see if I can diet like I lift.
In the mirror, I have definitely gotten bigger. Especially my arms. Suspense till Thursday for measurements, but difference is really visible I think. I am not as cut and muscles look smoother. Waist has not gotten bigger, so you can imagine my anticipation for Thursday when I get my body fat measured.

For today/s menu, I had chicken, quinoa, peppers, steak, eggs, and protean. I am looking to drop quinoa for about 2 weeks or lower my serving size to heed to my low carb plan. I ordered the 4 lbs Protean from Nutra and I am going through this Protean like gangbusters.
To the gym.

No huge events or surprises. Just clinical lifting 101. Machine lateral and rear delt machine to warm up and Upright rows to stretch. I lowered the rear delt weight to 75 lbs to go slower and try to feel the movement better. I felt like set 4 last week was not as clean as it should have been. I also lowers weight on upright rows for the same reason. I go especially slow on upright row as I love the way it feels with the tension. Cable might be my next destination for continuous tension. For now, it is 5 seconds for raise and 5 seconds to lower it.

Onto the Shoulder Press.
Started at 180 lbs today and pyramided up to 300 lbs going up in weight by 30, 40 or 50 lbs. damn these felt good. The support on this machine allows me to try to hold the stretch longer without worrying about dropping the weight. I say take advantage of the machines if you are using them. 330 lbs is next for 6 good rep and repeated last workouts PR of 5 reps at 360 lbs. Two drop down sets and shoulders were like boulders. Ha ha.

Finished off with Strive Biceps Curl and I was done. Why so many biceps workouts ? Well it’s my lumberjack approach. Continue to work to target biceps without destroying it. I do 1 giant set continuously day after day with some rest. It seems to be working. It could also be responding to direct work since I have never done real serious biceps workout.

Felt some burning again in elbows, but wrist continues to improve. Thinking about Joint force to see if it will help. Ordered some cissus as well.

Bring on tomorrow !

On 9/1, I put the capsaicin effect on GI to the test. I have taken up to 3 capsules of AAV2 at once before. For me, the only effect I have felt to date was a warm feeling in my stomach in about 5 minutes after I take AAV2. (not uncomfortable) Except for few times I followed the cheat meal protocol, I always take AAV2 after meals. I know there are different ways people take this....I tend to follow bottle label instructions closely.

So what is this GI issue and why does the bottle say to test your tolerance ?

Well, I took 4 AAV2 capsules right after I woke up on an empty stomach. After about 2-3 minutes, I felt this uncomfortable burning in my stomach. It was really unbearable and it kept intensifying. I gave it a minute and I could not stand it. I started drinking water and that did not help. I ate some quinoa to see if it will absorb whatever is going on in my stomach. Holy crap. I never want to experience that again. It was about 5 minutes of burning like i have never felt before.

Recommended dose is 2 max. Bottles says to make sure you start with 1 to test your tolerance. It also says to take it after meal.

4 on empty stomach....NEVER again.

Yea 4 is a bit much.

3 is my max. Then after 30 min I can do another 3

Capsaicinoids are fat soluble. Need pb or milk to stop that burn

Thanks. If it happens in a normal setting, I will keep that in mind. I don't expect it since I have been on it 60 days without any issues.

I haven't. Will that give me better results ? I usually dose around 3 large meals of the day.

Summary:
While the GF is away, I will play. Playground of choice ??? the gym. I know. What a bore !

Woke up with ridiculous energy. I was alert and energetic and everything I did felt great. Food tasted better and my mood was off the charts.

Diet was OK. I ate Protean and a whole rotisserie chicken. That is it. I ended up with awesome macro profile though - 308 protein, 53 carbs and 94 fat. Day 2 of low carb high protein diet so far and it is going well.

With low carbs eaten, I was surprised I had so much energy. I did drink a whole lot of BCAA (RecoverPro) all day. I went to the gym in the morning and had a great cardio workout. Went to eat something and then got inspired to return to the gym for an afternoon session. I had plenty of time on my hands. Everybody is away and GF went up north to visit family. I did not have to go. She’s cool like that. (or she is ashamed of me…..LOL)

I just finished off 9/10 lifting days and I should have rested today. Then I decided, let’s do some cardio since I haven’t done it in a while. It ended up being a whole lot more.

I started off LISS cardio at the gym. OK pace for 463 calories burned in 40 minutes. Had a decent sweat going. Then I thought…let’s do a little light lifting. I selected upright rows, pec deck, biceps curl and wide grip pulldowns. One shaping exercise for each body part. I felt great after lifting and thought let’s finish this off nicely with good cardio. I jumped back on elliptical for 40 minutes and this time I was more motivated. I ended up burning 736 calories. I was sweaty and felt awesome !!!

I went to the market to get something to eat. Got some rotisserie chicken and started eating in my car. I then went on AM to browse while sitting in the parking lot. If you read my posts, you know what happened next. Let’s just say I got inspired and decided to go back to lifting. I got done with the 9/10 lifting cycle. I am now going to continue until I feel like I am losing strength due to lack of rest or if I come down with an injury.

I went back to the gym and put in a very good chest workout. This is now 10 lifting sessions in 11 days. My elbows were definitely bothering me, but my energy was there and overall mood was still ALPHA. I won’t go onto too much detail about the workout other than I had sort of a PR on the hammer Strength Flat Bench Press. Link posted on top of this update. Too much back arching and bouncing to count it. I put 2 pads on the floor to prevent my elbows from going below parallel. It still burns when lifting heavy weights, so I will continue to be careful with it. Sometimes it feel like it's just going to give. I think it's tennis elbow and hope and praying that it is not tendonitis.

I did get a PR on the LTL special. Hammer Strength Wide Chest Press for 390 lbs for 6 reps. Love the way it feels on the top of the squeeze and credit it for latest chest improvement.

That’s it y'all.

Onto tomorrow !

Summary:
Cycle 12 lifts in 13 days. Still going well.

As I get closer to the end of the week for final review of EBF stack, any tips on better picture taking wouild be appreciated. Where to position the light. What type of lighting, what camera setting. On some mirrors, I can see all the striation. In the room I take picture in, not all definition seems to be showing. Maybe it's the iphone.

Energy was slightly low. It did not help that I watched TV most of the day. Just a relaxing labor day of laying around.

Another good macro day. Almost 300 grams in protein and less than 50 grams of carbs. Again my diet consisted of rotisserie chicken and protean. Boring but effective. Just few more days to go.

The gym was opened till 2 PM and I got there around 12:45 PM. I decided not to do cardio and concentrate on working the back.

The workout was full of pulldowns. I will do this for a little while to see if my lats improve. I started out with shoulder grip pulldowns. It felt really good until I got to the heavy weight. I was not as strong today. I felt like I did a little swinging to get the weight down on my last set. I will probably drop the weight in my next workout and max out at 190 lbs. I did enough sets to get a nice feel in my lats though.

Someone was on the pullover machine, so I headed to the Iso rows. This exercise is getting easier now, even with the wrist issue. I will move up on weight on next workout. I went slower on my reps to compensate.

Wide Grip Pulldowns next to get a nice stretch and then to the pullovers for more stretch while resting the arms. These felt light last week, so I went up 11 lbs to 176 lbs for a new PR. It felt really good, so i will settle at this weight for now.

V-bar pulldowns next and my arms were trashed at this point and my grip was weak. I did not finish very strong. I think I am OK with this since I am at sets 27 and 28. However, argument can be made to say if you are not doing them right...why do them at all ??? Will think about dropping weight next time and staying at 145 lbs for all 4 sets.

As a finisher, I did 50 slow reps on the ab machine. Forgot the name of it. It is like a crunch with weighted ball throw at the top of the movement. My abs were sore later on, so this is my ab exercise until I find a new favorite. Muscle confusion !!!

Onto tomorrow !

Summary:
Cycle 13 lifts in 14 days. Ongoing.

Energy level was good all around, so I decided to do some neglected cardio before lifting. More later.

Still no major soreness and the joints are holding up. The wrist has actually gotten better and the elbow a little worse. NOt enough to stop me, so I will continue to lift. My energy level was slightly lower today. The low carb intake is taking it's effect. Unlike before, BCAAs really helping me with latent energy to keep going. It should also provide me with enough energy to continue working out with top effort.

More chicken today. Baked and rotisserie. A lot of Protean and little bits of sweet potato added in so I don't go insane. Sweet potatoes were mixed with hard salami and ham. Macro looked good again. (288p/68c/81f)

I wanted to clean out a bit and that means cardio to rid of waste. Used a precor machine this time and went on a nice pace for LISS. 65 minutes and i burned 835 calories. It felt good to get back into some cardio. The sweat felt refreshing.

Targeting shoulders today. My elbows are a little tender. It is not healing, so I will have to decide what kind of press i want to do and how much i want to max out. I went through supporting exercises at a very good pace. maybe 20 seconds max of rest between sets.

Starting with laterals, then rear delts, then upright rows. My shoulders felt pumped and shredded.

I felt some weakness on top of laterals, so I decided on machine shoulder press. I worked up the pyramid from 100 lbs to 200 lbs going up 20 lbs incrementally. Elbows felt better and warmed up and shoulders were definitely warmed up as well. I went over to Bodymasters shoulders press and loaded 380 lbs. This would be a new PR. It was tough, but I got it up twice and got the third one on momentum. Hell yeah !!! maybe few more weeks until I hit 400 lbs.

Shoulders looked really good in the mirror and i felt great leaving the gym. Progress makes heart go fonder for more exercise.

Summary:
Cycle 14 lifts in 15 days.

Getting nervous as I get closer to the final day. All kinds opf data gathered tomorrow including body fat %. I know my weight hasn't gone down much and I am hoping it is due to recomp. The body fat test will tell.

I will stop this endless lifting run with the shoulder workout on Friday. The run will end as 16 lifts in 17 days. Just 1 day rest. I think i got a lot out of it but I am starting to experience prolonged pain and soreness in joints and muscles. I am also beginning to feel slight elbow annoyance on my left elbow now. Time to give the body a good rest and start up again renewed. Back today, shoulder tomorrow, Softball doubleheader and cardio on saturday and cardio on sunday. Although I am contemplating full rest on sunday.

Diet was solid once again. (262p/38c/90f) Not as much protein, but look at my carb count !!! I ate chicken, steak, Protean and some black bean and corn salsa. I am getting a hang of this now.

Energy level was good, but not excellent. I took a decent nap before i went to the gym and felt recharged.

I started off with a good cardio session for 60 minutes. I burned 1,100+ calories and sweated like crazy. I was very happy with this and gave me momentum to go into my chest workout.

I tried something different. Warm ups to start on HS Bench and then 5 reps max as I climb the pyramid. Would it result in a new PR ? Would it save my elbows for the last set ??? Well, I got up to set 7 and loaded 10 lbs more for 430 lbs. FAILED !!! (Video link at start of this update) I got it up to set up and that was it.as it. WOW, I also had major elbow burns. I lowered weight on the next set to 360 lbs and got clean 5 reps. Feeling ambitious, I loaded 420 lbs this time and failed again. My left elbow started feeling weak. I am probably overcompensating. Probably need rest.

I went over to high cables and did superset of crosspvers and bicep curls. Six sets and I was done. I am feeling like my biceps have improved a bit with more work.

Did Chest Flyes on Life Fitness at 180 lbs. It is 15 lbs less than last time, but much more productive as I was able to go slower and felt the movement better.

Finished off with HS wide chest for pump and I was done. It was almost 1 AM, but I did not feel tired.

Recompadrol continues to work like its supposed to taking my bloat away after meals. Natty V continues to help my libido and AAV2s effects are now physical and visual and I am starting to feel the heat. Final days are near folks. It makes this sucka a bit sad to see the end.

Onto tomorrow !

Summary:
Two more workouts and this log is over. A new log will start when I add other supplements to the stack. The EBF stack deserved a stand alone review of its own without other factors possibly confusing the results.

Diet has been consistent recently as I continue to target low carb macros. I had chicken, steak, protein for protein and small amounts of sweet potatoes, corn and beans added for variety.

At the gym ? It was back day. Workout starts with shoulder grip pulldowns. I still like this exercise for the upper back squeeze. It also mirrors pull ups, so I am hoping it helps me get better at it. Solid repeat of last workouts lifts with pyramid topping at 190 lb.

Pullovers and wide grip pulldowns next to give the lats a nice stretch, then mass movement with rows to get the endorphins charged. Moving weight makes me happy. V-bar pulldowns to further squeeze the upper back and I was done.

Workout completed faster than normal, so I jumped on elliptical for a solid 1 hour session. Nice and sweaty and got my heart going nicely.

Onto tomorrow for the last workout.

Thanks Zach. With the added protein, my muscles have seriously gotten fuller and I even want to say bigger.

Summary:

Cycle 16 lifts in 17 days and I am DONE. My wrist and elbows opposite the one's I hurt are starting to get sore. Time to give it a little break over the weekend. I am happy with what I have accomplished lifting wise. At the gym, people consider me a serious lifter and I have gotten a lot of compliments from the trainers working there and made some friends that way.

This is the last workout of this run. I regret not trying for recomp on this stack vs purely trying to drop body fat. During the course of this run, I have gone to a point of looking real scrawny and now to a point of looking real full. I will have more reflections during my final review.

Protein level was slightly lower today hovering around 200 grams and carbs were a little higher hovering around at 100 grams. Steak, Egg and Fish were the protein of choice supplemented by Protean from Iforce. I did not eat much carbs other than green fibrous vegetables and quinoa. Quinoa bumped up the carb count, but its quinoa....no ? Good for your health, so I am choosing to not mind being off slightly.

At the gym, I wanted to try smith machine again for overhead presses. I could only pyramid up to 225 lbs before joints started burning. I will require more healing before trying this again. I also think maybe the full range of motion I take are stressing the joints too much.

Some rear delt, laterals and upright rows to pump up the shoulders from all angle and back to presses on bodymaster. Started at 180 lbs and pyramided up 50 lbs at a time. I got upto 380 lbs for 2 reps and then dropped down 2 sets for pump. I think I am liking this much more. Reducing number of sets and pyramiding up on higher increments. On my way to reducing volume. Lets see where i get to at the end.

I felt like I had a nice workout to end this run and felt great afterwards.

One more update and then Final review.

Bring it !

Summary:

Last Update of this stack with Final review to follow in a day or 2. Please look for it.

I will be transitioning the log to a new thread due to 2 reasons.

1 - Notification on this log is all screwed up. No one is receiving them, when i post updates. Traffic has been rather low in the last couple week due to this or I bored everyone to death...LOL.

2 - I am adding 2 products (unsponsored) to this stack. I want this log for the EBF stack to stand alone and not be muddled by how it may have been enhanced by another product.

Lots of chicken today. Spicy chicken, quinoa, tandoori chicken, naan and eggs. Solid macros at 234p/127c/65f. I have been real happy about limiting sugar intake and will continue to watch that in the future.

No gym today.

New softball season has started and fall season is always scheduled with doubleheaders.
I felt really energetic today and strong as an ox. I both games total, I got up to the plate 7 times and got 5 hits + a walk. No pop ups or fly outs. I blasted 5 line drives at various trajectory. 2 went past the short stop for singles. 2 went over centerfielder for a double and a triple. One split the left center gap for a home run. All the extra bases were run out since this field had no fence. Rewards of working hard I guess and the results are reflected on the field. I can't wait to continue to train like a madman and kill it on the softball field.

At no time was I tired and I felt focused and full of energy throughout.

See ya'll for the final review !!!

Bring it !

Ima hafta agree wit dis! Definitely a freaking awesome one man show here. This log is epic. It covers all the bases: photos, videos, diet stats, personal feelings of how things are going, a ****ton of PRs, and a nice smooth flow to the narrative.

This is how logs are done, boys!

EBF made a great selection in picking our boy FU!

FINAL REVIEW

Introduction

I want to start off by saying thank you to EBF Inc. for giving me with an opportunity to log the Lean Mean Summer Recomp stack. They took a chance on someone who only did 3 logs altogether. (2 unsponsored and 1 sponsored) It is not easy to trust someone with your product without a track record, but I am glad they saw something in my previous logs to do so.

In turn, I wanted to make sure I log this stack to the best of my ability and provide as much details as I can. I also wanted to make sure not to add anything else supplement wise that may hinder or improve the final results. It was difficult to hold off as so many good logging opportunities presented themselves this summer.

I have made good progress this year. This was my picture in April 2012. (Yikes !!!) This was after I dropped 20+ lbs. Imagine what I looked like before this.

IMG_1630_old 160 x.jpg

Well, progress makes the heart grow fonder. Seeing results, I tried to push the boundaries further. I was pretty happy at 226 lbs at beginning of July and start of this log, but I was not satisfied. I wanted more. I wanted a difference maker. While browsing through the forum, I saw a logging opportunity for the
Lean Mean Summer Recomp stack. This was it. This was what I needed. I put in my application and hoped to get selected.

What is the Lean Mean Summer Recomp stack ?

Exploit the coveted post-workout “anabolic window” at all hours of the day. Concurrent minimization of adipose creation, improved lipid profiles, lowered prandial and post-prandial blood glucose levels, and PPARγ activation turn you into a human fat burning machine. These unparalleled capacities make Recompadrol highly versatile. Whether you’re a bodybuilder striving for that perfect physique, an athlete searching to improve performance, or one of 25% of Americans who battle metabolic syndrome, Recompadrol will give you the edge you need.

Enhanced Body Formulations (EBF) - Invalid Link Removed
Unlike “one trick pony” competitors that attempt to limit fat gain through a single mechanism AAv2’s FAT MOBILIZATION COMPLEX ceases new fat formation as the EBF ANNIHILATION COMPLEX lays waste to existing adipose stores. AAv2 features an optimized proprietary blend of ingredients which create an incredible potency, without the potential for undesired side effects. In addition to these ingredients, perhaps what makes us most excited to bring you this product is that AAv2 encompasses a new ingredient that is rarely used in fat burners – Ginkgo Biloba extract. Ginkgo Biloba extract is fairly unique and works SEVERAL different ways.

Enhanced Body Formulations (EBF) - Invalid Link Removed
This product is NOT a testosterone booster, it is a SEXUAL ENHANCEMENT/ PUMP formula and should be treated as one. Along with this, these ingredients have also been shown to increase mood, fat burning, and “pump” in the gym.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What initially drew me to this opportunity was Recompadrol. Then I started reading up on AAV2 and Natty V and I wanted this stack more and more. Recompadrol was and still is recommended highly by many on AM and it’s something I have wanted to try for a long time. I was not a familiar with AAV2 and Natty V, but the write ups and reviews I found on these 2 hyped my interest significantly.

When I found out I was selected as the logger, it was like receiving a christmas present. Rarely in life do you get exactly what you want. How do I repay EBF ? Log as I have never logged before. Eat clean and train like I have never trained before. In two words…..kill it !!!

That is the short introduction and here is how it turned out.

Here
are my results and final comments.

Strength - good
Strength steadily increased even though I was on a calorie deficit diet. When I added more protein, the increase in strength was more pronounced.

Comments: I did not expect to gain strength during this run. The main goal was to cut and the diet and exercises were geared toward achieving that goal. To my surprise, I made decent gains in strength and when I increased protein intake during the end of the run, I felt like I was getting stronger and stronger. I considered Natty V to play a complement role to Recompadrol and AAV2. Looking at the final results, I can see that I have underestimated it’s effects. With help of Natty V, I not only maintained strength, I gained on all significant lifts as well.

Workout/Normal energy – OK then excellent
I had some issues with workout energy, but I realized it had nothing to do with the supplements. Better carbohydrate cycling and added BCAA helped improve energy greatly.

Comments: Learn as you go I say. Lack of energy was a big issue in the beginning. This was not related to any supplements I was taking. I felt lethargic and tired. Better understanding of what I was eating and when really helped boost my energy level and adding BCAA later on brought the energy level to its highest. In the end, I was able to easily go through any workouts no matter how long or overloaded it was. It also helped my day to day energy and kept me focused on any tasks at hand with no crash.

Appetite Control - excellent
My appetite was low to average throughout the entire run. I was able to easily stay at calorie deficit without cheating too much unless otherwise planned.

Comments: I did not have any urge to binge or eat a lot of bad food. I pretty much stayed under my calorie target throughout the run and sometimes had to force myself to eat just to get near my calorie goal. This should be attributed to capsaicin in AAV2. Capsaicin is funny in that I know immediately when it hits my stomach. There is this nice warm feeling I get for few minutes that lets me know it is dissolving. Lets not discount the fact that appetite control is a significant factor in losing weight. If you are taking AAV2, making sure you assess your tolerance. I tried 4 on an empty stomach and suffered agonizingly for couple hours. The instruction says to take 1 or 2 after meals. LOL.

Libido - excellent
My libido was out of control. It was high throughout mentally and strong physically as needed. Natty V is something I might want to try out separately.

Comments: There wasn’t a single down period for 60+ days. It really gave me everything I needed in this regard. OK, my libido is high to begin with, but some days the performance is not up to par as in it is not as rock hard on certain days. Not during this run. Constant morning wood that does wonders for your confidence and “solid” performance at night that validates it.

Skin – N/A
I included this as a category to observe. Nothing really to report as I did not have oily skin during the entire run.

Comments: None.

GI Issues - excellent
No GI issues at anytime.

Comments: With any supplement, you have to assess your tolerance before you go in full board. For me, I did not notice anything related to GI issue in 60+ days. The stack does an amazing jobs as far as shuttling nutrients though. After meal bloat does not stay long at all and muscles are full and veiny after dosing. In fact, the veins stay with you throughout the day and are very prominent during workout.

Final Thoughts
What can I say that I haven’t already said in this review ?

Increased strength
Fat loss
Better overall body composition
Veins
Appetite control
No bloat
High libido
No GI Issues

The Lean Mean Summer Recomp stack has more than lived up to expectations. The results from this cut now supplants any cut I have done previously. To actually see veins all over my body lets me know that I am in better condition now than I have ever been in the last 12 years. The improvements are not just visual either. I have more energy throughout the day and gains in the gym and softball performance is at its peak.

I think I am real close to being in the best condition I have ever been in and the results I have attained gives me confidence and drive to continue to strive to be the best.

Recompadrol is going to be a staple for me going forward and I am going to work in AAV2 and Natty V in my supplement cycle as needed in the future. I think the 3 supplements work very well synergetically and this stack is something I am probably going to run each summer.

I hope the retailers out there realize what kind of product EBF is providing and working on and step up to the plate to offer it to the consumers who are asking for it. For now, I will continue to go to the couple sources to get mine. I would love to see it in Nutraplanet though.

This is my first go around with EBF and the experience has been awesome. I really don’t have any negatives to think of.

I want to thank Zach and the EBF team – runner_79, Autokal47 – for allowing me log this stack. Your helpful tips and encouragements have certainly helped me reach 60+ days. You have a great line of supplements and I only hope this log has some effect on the readers who have visited as far as sale is concerned. I look forward to anything else you might come out with in the future.

I also want to thank all who have followed this log and contributed. Your encouragements and questions and just plain exchange of ideas has made this log live and viable. You all have a part in making this log what it is.

I will be adding 2 supplements to what is remaining of my EBF stack to run a final 30 day cut. Please look for it in about a week.

Thank you.
