FINA[be]FLEXing with Finaflex BCAA/SAA + CLA

Yes, that's what I think when I look in the mirror. Always critiquing myself and seeing what needs improving. :)
that's what the good ones always do
nothing wrong with it - just remember to keep it in perspective too, pat yourself on the back every once in awhile
yourself will smile ;)

Your little pudgey huh... you sound like my wife. I personally think you both are insane but it is great to have high physique aspirations! You are no more insane than I in that regard. I think you look good for sure!

we are all our worst critics, I think you are looking great kix ... very attractive and nice shape.

Jump Rope Skipping
2 min on/50 sec-1min off

Total time: 23 minutes

Woke up feeling crazy bloated today. Probably because I had one big dinner later at night and slept not too long after that. I had a lot of endurance during jump rope skipping. After the 2nd round I would try to cut rest times to 50 sec instead of 1 min and found that I even went over the 2 min mark many times. To finish up I went for 5 straight minutes and honestly could have kept going if I didn't have get ready to get chores done. I consider this a small victory because the longest I had lasted before was 15 minutes. Later tonight I plan to do shoulders and legs. Thank you for the words of encouragement everyone :)

Great looking session kix. The Super sets look awesome.

Hey, thought you disappeared! It doubles as my "cardio". Kill 2 birds with 1 stone. :)

Nope I'm watching :) super sets are definitely good to keep the heart rate elevated. Keep kicking butt!

I'm a bit clumsy with the barbell, so right now I'm doing cleans with DB's. And as much as I'd like to go heavier, I am trying to get the form down first.. :)

Cleans with bad form can mess you up bad! esp when you try and go heavy!

Join the club bro....never done them either...

Maybe I'll have to look outside of the box again....

Anyway...doing a great job here gokix;)

Outside of the box is where it's at. Thanks, edje ;)

that was a rather bleak and ominous post, kix

I just mean to say, there are so many different ways to train, that as we all embark on our own pilgrimages we start to learn what movements work best with our bodies and filter out the rest. Just because one person trains a certain way, doesn't mean someone who emulates the same plan will have the same experiences. It was not meant to be a bleak post, but I guess that's up to interpretation. Hope that clears things up. :)

I was making reference to the movie Final Destination..perhaps it wasn't that funny :tired:

Workout got pushed back later than I had anticipated. Things just came up. But on a positive side, I hit a new squat PR of 135x1. Initially I had 130 on the bar, because that is what I stalled on last time. But I wanted to try for 135. Go big or go home, and I was amazed when I got it up. Pretty stoked about that. :) Still taking 2 ALC+CLA with breakfast and dinner. Nothing new to report there. I'm def going to wash down my post wo with a cold cup of BCAA and enjoy that slice of pizza I've been saving!

Congrats on the PR! Practicing a little Carb backloading/IIFYM eh!

Awesome work kix. Showing these boys how is done on the front squats!

nice lifts - sweet PR! :cool2:
I hate front squats..refuse to do them..

(hmmmm might just throw some into my training today, need a lil different angle/stress on quads right now...)

I would love to do them, i just cant seem to get the bar to stay where it needs to and then my hands get all messed up and then i give up. Makes me angry lol.

^ lol

Snagz, that superset had my quads burning. Few sets of those might do the trick.

GT, no longer foaming at the mouth, just rubbing my buddha belly :) And snatch grip hurts my wrists so I use the cross armed method.

Thanks everyone! Feels pretty dope to unlock new levels of strength :)

Last night's carb up was much needed. I had a good workout today and have even moved onto feet elevated dips again, yay. There was one or two reps where my wrist was positioned awkwardly and that hurt, but otherwise I felt strong. I tried close grip DB Press for the first time today to try and isolate my tri's. I kept my elbows as close to my body as possible, lowering it down to the bottom half of my chest, and pressing up again. However, on some reps I would feel an uncomfortable stretch in my biceps. May need to glance over a few videos again.

Also looking for advice from those that use a lacrosse ball for myofascial release. My upper back/shoulders have been super stiff lately and I've been feeling like a hunchback so I took time out today to knead out any knots. It felt horrible and relieving all at the same time. However, when I am rolling in some areas of my upper back and shoulders, I feel a tightness/tingly feeling shooting down the inner part of my bicep and forearm. It's very uncomfortable and I know if there is pain or numbness at any point than to stop and reposition the ball. Some areas I cannot knead out because it'll strain my biceps. Is this normal, and if so, should I just reposition the ball and not worry about that area? Thanks guys!

*shakes my BCAA/SAA with ice* Tomorrow is hammies and some isolated back work, should be good!! :)

Yea i cant do either grip. Im not sure why but for some reason the bar just wont stick in the spot.

I have a busted collar bone that sticks out so unfortunetly the cross grip sucks for me. I straight up dropped it once.

I hear ya. Took me a while to find that nook on my shoulder but now I can get it just about everytime. I can't do back squats so I'm sticking to these.

Ouch! How'd that happen? And funny enough, as I was coming up on my final rep the weight shifted just slightly and I nearly pulled a dang crotch muscle trying to push it up, lol.
