My sumo has a long, long way to go. Def need my bcaa/saa to help aid in recovery. Tweaked my lower back on the last rep. Friggin aye.

Hey, you got that bitch up at least. You'll recover. Then you'll get stronger. Good work

Haha, thanks! Wasn't feeling too strong at 185 so should have listened to my body and stopped there. Even if the kid next to me doing rows was hyping me up. Ah well. Looks like I'll be dropping the weight for now.

185 looked good other than the initial small bit of rounding in the back. Keep the spine erect, as you do on the descent and I think you'll be fine next time around.

Apologizes for the lack of updates guys. I tweaked my lower back on Thursday so I've been letting it rest, icing, heating, and doing some light stretching. Unfortunately I haven't worked out since then but later today I plan to work on shoulders; something that won't aggravate the lower back. Got in a funk yesterday and went off my diet a bit. Nothing too crazy but definitely something that tends to happen when I'm "out of the game" for a few days. I've been running a really low calorie deficit for months now resulting in a stall in the scales and general run down mood. I feel like this way of eating isn't really optimal for me anymore and my metabolism has adapted to the low calories, so in light of that, I am going to restructure my diet and attempt to reverse diet for the first time ever. I'm willing to take a step back in order to move 2 steps forward. I've been taking my ALC+CLA with my 2 big meals and BCAA the last 2 nights to aid in recovery.

When the weight loss stalls out then it's time to make a change. Good call on noticing this and rectifying quickly. What are the new macros and numbers going to look like?

This is the reverse dieting plan for the next 10 weeks. I will be holding off on doing re-feeds from this point. Not really sure how to structure my macros for off days. Majority of carbs will still be consumed pre and post workout. Just to reiterate, this is my first experiment with reverse dieting so any advice is always appreciated. :)

I like the pre and post workout carb ideas with this layout. I get my carbs in equal amounts throughout the day on training days and non training days alike. Post workout is a bit more but not much. Also I see the final weeks fats go up but protein goes down?

Nice. Thank you. :) Wasn't sure if carbs should be kept the same everyday. And I figured that protein should be decreased just a tad while my body adjusts to the increase in carbs and fat. Loosely based it off Layne Norton's approach to reverse dieting.

Ah I got ya. I would keep carbs the same every day unless you were going to be carb cycling. With the majority pre and post workout and spread evenly through the day on non training days.

Kept everything light today. Still don't want to risk doing any major harm to the lower back. Rest periods were ~45 sec long on all sets and I finished in a little under 55 minutes. I'm sweaty and hungry now. :)

Awesome. Do you think the increments are too small/high at all? Of course I'll be tweaking it as I go.

I would have to read a bit about the idea of reverse dieting before I could say.

This is only my 2nd or 3rd back workout in the past few weeks since my lat strain weeks ago. Numbers are low today but should be working back up in a few weeks time. Oddly enough I haven't felt any pain in my lat over the past week since I tweaked my lower back, lol. Weird but whatever. Lower back was a little sore starting off today's workout. Initially started with BBR but switched to Pendlay to warm up the back. Hip flexors were tight so I had to do some hip flossing between sets. Switched back to BBR and back felt fine during my sets. My ALC+CLA bottle is almost empty. I'm guessing maybe a week's supply left! I've really started to look forward to drinking my BCAA+SAA. I keep it in the fridge until bed time and it's quite refreshing.

Can't wait to see what the final verdict is kix ;) kicking butt still!

Took yesterday off. Quads have been super sore since Monday so I mashed it with a tennis/lacrosse ball. I was in hell for about 30 minutes but that seems to have done the trick. Today's workout was dragging to start. Slight impingement in left shoulder as well. Used a lacrosse ball to mash it out. Rest of the workout went really well with no shoulder issues. I didn't want to wait until after weights to do fit in cardio so I just spilit it up into 1 minute increments after each set for a total of 15 minutes. Time for post w/o meal as well as my ALC+CLA!

On Friday I did a light back workout. That did aggravate my lat again to my dismay. Kinda bummed because earlier in the week my back workout went great. Took Saturday off and kept carbs really low. This morning I did jump rope skipping for 15 minutes because I knew I'd be eating out later today. It'll be my main meal for the day. Going to enjoy myself within reason. :)

Strength took a major dip today. Was expecting it since I hadn't squatted since last week but still not ideal. Left hip flexor and hamstring were being a major PITA. Could feel the tightness on my left side while my right side felt great. Just couldn't find a good rhythm tonight. Other than that it was a good workout. Expecting my bottle of ALC+CLA to be finished this week and will have my final review up soon after. :)

Final Review:

ALC+CLA
The first week I took 2 caps of ALC+CLA/day. After some recommendations, I increased the dosage to 4 caps of ALC+CLA per day with my 2 biggest meals, breakfast and dinner. There were also some days where I took up to 6 caps. Didn't experience any GI issues or negative side effects.

The intention of this log was to supplement my diet and exercise with ALC+CLA to help keep the fat at bay. I think Finaflex ALC+CLA achieved that. I used my clothing as an indicator of body composition and did find that my clothes fit looser after a few weeks.

BCAA+SAA
I'm going to make this an honest review and say I wasn't a fan at first sip. It mixed great and went down smooth but was missing something. After some experimenting I got the idea to add ice to the BCAA+SAA mixture. 15 oz water, 3 cubes of ice, and a scoop of BCAA+SAA later, it tasted great - refreshing even!

I definitely noticed better recovery with the addition of BCAA+SAA, especially a day after workouts with lower volume and circuit training days. Good recovery and less fatigue the next day to hit the weights again! Lots of strength gains were made during this log. :)

Overall, I enjoyed logging both products and I want to thank the gentlemen at FinaFlex for letting me run these two products!

Awesome! You ran a great log kix. Glad we could help you out with the goals!
