Hey, you got that bitch up at least. You'll recover. Then you'll get stronger. Good work
Haha, thanks! Wasn't feeling too strong at 185 so should have listened to my body and stopped there. Even if the kid next to me doing rows was hyping me up. Ah well. Looks like I'll be dropping the weight for now.
185 looked good other than the initial small bit of rounding in the back. Keep the spine erect, as you do on the descent and I think you'll be fine next time around.
I say potato, you say potauto..Back to the grind..
When the weight loss stalls out then it's time to make a change. Good call on noticing this and rectifying quickly. What are the new macros and numbers going to look like?
This is the reverse dieting plan for the next 10 weeks. I will be holding off on doing re-feeds from this point. Not really sure how to structure my macros for off days. Majority of carbs will still be consumed pre and post workout. Just to reiterate, this is my first experiment with reverse dieting so any advice is always appreciated.
week 1: 1500 calories/~150g protein/~50g carb/~50g fat
week 2: 1550 calories/~145g protein/~55g carb/~55g fat
week 3: 1600 calories/~145g protein/~60g carb/~60g fat
week 4: 1600 calories/~140g protein/~70g carb/~60g fat
week 5: 1650 calories/~140g protein/~80g carb/~65g fat
week 6: 1700 calories/~140g protein/~90g carb/~70g fat
week 7: 1700 calories/~140g protein/~95g carb/~70g fat
week 8: 1750 calories/~140g protein/~100g carb/~70g fat
week 9: 1800 calories/~140g protein/~110g carb/~70g fat
week 10: 1850 calories/~140g protein/~120g carb/~70g fat
I like the pre and post workout carb ideas with this layout. I get my carbs in equal amounts throughout the day on training days and non training days alike. Post workout is a bit more but not much. Also I see the final weeks fats go up but protein goes down?
Nice. Thank you.Wasn't sure if carbs should be kept the same everyday. And I figured that protein should be decreased just a tad while my body adjusts to the increase in carbs and fat. Loosely based it off Layne Norton's approach to reverse dieting.

Awesome. Do you think the increments are too small/high at all? Of course I'll be tweaking it as I go.
Final Review:
ALC+CLA
The first week I took 2 caps of ALC+CLA/day. After some recommendations, I increased the dosage to 4 caps of ALC+CLA per day with my 2 biggest meals, breakfast and dinner. There were also some days where I took up to 6 caps. Didn't experience any GI issues or negative side effects.
The intention of this log was to supplement my diet and exercise with ALC+CLA to help keep the fat at bay. I think Finaflex ALC+CLA achieved that. I used my clothing as an indicator of body composition and did find that my clothes fit looser after a few weeks.
BCAA+SAA
I'm going to make this an honest review and say I wasn't a fan at first sip. It mixed great and went down smooth but was missing something. After some experimenting I got the idea to add ice to the BCAA+SAA mixture. 15 oz water, 3 cubes of ice, and a scoop of BCAA+SAA later, it tasted great - refreshing even!
I definitely noticed better recovery with the addition of BCAA+SAA, especially a day after workouts with lower volume and circuit training days. Good recovery and less fatigue the next day to hit the weights again! Lots of strength gains were made during this log.
Overall, I enjoyed logging both products and I want to thank the gentlemen at FinaFlex for letting me run these two products!
