Big time... we got like 15 point field goals and 10 point passing touchdowns... Plus there is a big mess of bonuses for large yardage games. Could easily see 300 and 400 point weeks. Its a playmakers league.

Basically you go there 10 minutes before draft open it up and it is ready. They set it up by top ranked, names...which every way you want. It's pretty simple. I suggest pre ranking your players.
 
ugh...commissioners always wanna get creative rather than just sticking with standard. always throws my frame of reference off on draft day

Yea it's a little jacked....25 points for punt and SP TD's.

I think you should keep everything standard unless you are catering to a certain type of league. I usually play in PPR leagues in which points per receptions are 2 points and everything else is virtually the same.

We've got 16 days to figure it out, so it should not be a problem.
 
You really can't just arbitrarily go through and add in values you think are cutting edge. It messes everything up... some rookie punt returner from the Zimbabwe Spears ends up being the H2H points leader at the end of the season.
 
I figured we would have some controversy on the points, but i'm open to changing it a bit. I'm not going to stick to baseline standard though either, but i'll alter things a bit later tonight when i get home.

Man, I just realized we are going camping on the live draft weekend and I won't have internet access. What should I do?

Please tell me you're not seriously bitchin' about this? I guess we should always conform to what's considered the "standard" then and never have any individuality or innovation. Sounds pretty damn boring to me...:rolleyes:

For some reason, I'm having trouble updating my timezone in yahoo. It's set to Pacific when I'm in Eastern and it won't let me change it. I just want to verify the live draft is at 8:45 EST.
 
That is what it says. Be there early to be sure to get logged in and such. I praticed on a mock draft. It was pretty cool.
 
I'm in. Just happened to log into yahoo and saw an invite because I was in last year's league. Forgot to even check the forum.

I had to postpone the draft until saturday 9/5/09 (9pm EST). I have an issue tomorrow that arose, so I need to make the necessary changes at this time. I appreciate your anticipated understanding.

Probably better anyway - gives us another set of pre-season games to watch.

I hope I can make that. I'll be in Gainesville next week so not sure if I'll have access to a computer that can load the flash software (my brother's computer is AFU'ed).

No problem brother John. It actually ended up working out better for me as I did not wake up until late because of a long hard ass weekend at work. Additionally, I hope everything is alright bro. Get at me and let me know whats shakin.

All is well my friend. I had to cover a shift for my good buddy at work. His wife had to have emergent surgery.

I'm glad this works out better for some, and sorry to hear that it doesn't for others. I did what I had to do though, guys.

Anyway, as of saturday, it's game on!

Anyway you could keep the time as it is, but make it Sunday as opposed to Saturday? If not I'll just get working on my draft card to make sure I set it up to my liking.

Yeah, Sunday at 9 would work better for me as well, but if that's not possible, I'll get my lineup ready.
 
I'm glad. I had not seen this and forgot all about it last night. I was just gonna check to see who was automatically assigned to me. It's on Saturday!
 
Where it is vs Sun isn't much different for me.
Still trying to figure my brother's laptop.

WTF?

First off - 6 teams? Why the hell have a league if we can only get 6 teams. Each one is a Pro Bowl squad.

Secondly - why in the hell was I the only one there for the draft? Jesus. Y'all were drafting kickers in the 2nd round and ****.

Anyway - I'm really annoyed. Not sure I'll hang with this - mainly because any dolt off the street could win in a 6 team league.
