Extensive BCAA/EAA Comparison (Xtend,NP Bulk, Purple Wrath, ICE (Ajinomoto) + Others)

When will Primordials IBCAA's be available at NP?
Not currently planned on picking it up since we already carry so many other BCAA/EAA products. We could quite easily in the future if there are enough requests.
Yo yo, you got any Lg Bc+Eaa to test?
No, although I was planning on running some of your products mid-summer and might pick it up then.

I kind of disagree here, Steve. Nutra should carry the full line of Pp's products. That way, we the consumer have many choices. I love the IBCAA's, so when I run out and Nutra does not have any, I have to shop elsewhere so I'm not making multiple orders from multiple merchants. I know Nutra's competition carries it.
I only make orders now if I need more than 3 items. So if Nutra doesn't have 1 of those items, I will shop where I can get more options. Don't take that the wrong way, but I have to be smart with my money.
I just feel as if Nutra doesn't carry several popular items from several big companies. I know I know, go request them. ;)

But there should never be a limit on options.

I agree. Especially with PP offering high quality in the products they have. No offense to other companies in particular but I would rather purchase quality ingredients, even for a couple more dollars, then have to settle with that of lesser quality. Even then PP stuff is very reasonably priced, and sadly I too have had to grab stuff elsewhere to get my hands on some :worried:

I think you guys misunderstood what I said. Perhaps I wasn't so clear on this last post, but I've mentioned it many time before such as over Invalid Link Removed. If there are requests/interest in it, we can carry it. Also you guys know the drill; as it stands, nobody has even bothered requesting it in The Official Product Request Thread.

Correct :D I do my best, as you can see in the product request thread to make it happen if possible.

You really need to get AMS' Body Mortar in here. I'm using their Punch flavor and absolutely loving it and I usually dislike anything punch flavor so that's says a lot. Tastes awesome, mixes perfectly in a breeze and follows the premium standard of 4:1:1 ratio of BCAA's.

ok, I just realized this is an old thread.

It may be an old thread , but most of the products are still around and prominent sellers. What I eventually settled on was a mix ofInvalid Link Removed and Invalid Link Removed . I got a great deal on the iBCAA and so I use it to extend the life of my Xtend supply. I still occasionally use Invalid Link Removed .
Often I dump bulk leucine in to bring it around 4:1 although I don't measure.

I may try and see if I can get a sample of body mortar to round out this thread. And I need to track down some of LGs BCAA/EAA.

Yeah, I liked xtend the best until now.

Well I will try to keep this unbiased; but for quality of the raws, but I think Primordial Performance's iBCAAs are about as good as you can get. However in the end, leucine is still leucine, whether it's instantized or not.

Steve,

I have to disagree here with the "Leucine is Leucine" comment...there is significant differences between aminos produced using different processes...fermentation, from hair (duck feathers...), etc...but the technical nuances here are to complex to discuss in this forum format.

The issue here is most companies do not make the C of A of their aminos available to the public, so we have no idea where they are coming from (unless they specify it is Ajinomoto or Kyowa)...the vast majority of all aminos sold in supplements are Chinese made...that is fine, but with the inconsistencies in QA from their manufacturers and CMOs, I will take my chances with the leaders of the industry in Kyowa and Ajinomoto.

I know their process is top notch and I will be getting the best aminos in the industry. There is a reason you don't see many Chinese Made aminos making their way into the pharmaceutical industry....(unless they are being manufactured at Big Pharma's own manufacturing plants in China)...

Until there is full diclosure from these companies, I will keep buying Ajinomoto and Kyowa's aminos for myself....

I agree 100% with this. That is why I like XF ICE Arctic Lemon and now MST RPG which also tastes pretty good. Didn't know about the other Ajinomoto products (Primordial was it?) but will definitely look into them as well. Thought I would add to this thread (great thread by the way).

Anyone ever give Core ABC a shot?

Recently bought 2lb of bulk Ajinomoto. I actually never used straight BCAAs but they will become a staple for me on cuts now. I bought them with some horrid stock flavoring, will get them unflavored next time so I can put them in anything.

It's a fair point. I was just simplifying things. I agree impurities and contaminants are always something to be watched for. But to me, if there's a chinese supplier that I trust and has done the proper quality control, their leucine is the same molecule as that produced by ajinimoto. That is what I meant by leucine is leucine. :)
