Expert on steroids

Hello guys,
I was wondering how many years of research will it take to become an expert on steroids?
Ok maybe less than an expert but to where I feel 100 percent confident I understand what I am doing, putting in my body, how it will react, etc. Where should I start reading?
I am thinking of buying anabolics 2007.
I am very nervous about this and want to understand hormones in and out so I feel 100 percent when I go on. I just want ot know everything
Thanks guys

become an endocrinologist, any it will be a start. Seriously you can never know it all, or too much.

^ GREAT post here. You are constantly learning things in this world. However, keep in mind that the world of anabolics is a COMPLETELY new world. It sounds like you have your head on straight and I applaud you for researching FIRST and putting it together afterward. If you want to get a good book on it, by all means do so. The internet is also an EXCELLENT resource for this kind of information. Just be willing to spend a few months with research and in the mean time train your a** off bro :D. You will get it soon enough. No one can be a complete expert but you can get **** close if you want to. Goodluck

....Anabolics a "Completely new world" Huh?? Not hardly pimp!

If you read through all the literature, browse through forums, and read steroid profiles etc.. on the internet, honestly within a year or two you should feel like you have acquired adequate information to run a first cycle. Honestly its harder to be an expert and know the proper dieting and training then it is to be with steroids.

also be willing to take a lot of things with a grain of salt and question a lot of the things you hear on the forums, theres a lot of broscience out here too. I'm guilty of it as well as everyone else here is to some degree. what works for one person, and how aas react to one persons body chemistry is not necissarily how it will react or work for another. like i always say, your mileage may vary

not really accurate. with all do respect it might be new to you but this "world" has been around for quite a while now

Well I'll say it like this then: Give a guy who has been all naturall all his life some steroids and syringes and tell him to go at it. He is not going to have a clue about support supplements, dosing, sterilization, training, eating, acne prevention, hairloss prevention, getting blood tests, or gyno due to he has never had to worry about any of those things with natural supplements. Also anabolics are famous for this quote: "Once you start you never go back." This is also true to an extent. Playing with your bodies hormones can have permanent and horrendous effects on the human body if not done properly. You can also argue this about natural products but the reality of it is that the natural products do not have horrid side effects (or any at all in most cases) unless someone severely overdoses on them (which no sane human being will). So if all of this is considered, it completely changes everything in a bodybuilders mind. It changes supplement approach, training, diet, and also brings along with it a large number of risks and preventative measures that need to be thoroughly reasearched before any anabolic even needs to be considered by an individual. Any guy can go out and buy a bucket of whey protein or a tub of nitric oxide and start dosing them without research or fear of harming themselves, but no one can just go out and grab some steroids and use them in this manner without severely paying for it later. That is all that I was saying. So in essence, it is litterally a brand new world.
And to the poster, study up brother! It was my pleasure to help. Also before you consider steroids make sure that you have been lifting for a few years and have a good muscle base and have almost reached your natural potential. Goodluck man.

Sorry man, I did not mean that it is a completely new world in the scope of things. I was implying that to someone who has been natural their whole life it is a completely new world of bodybuilding.

2 years of serious diet and training coupled with 1 year of reading about cycles, steroid profiles and general endricology should be a good start and the minimum ammount of research to run a decent cycle. To be an "expert" 10-20 years at least.

Anabolics 2007 would be an excelent purchase for someone in your situation. :)

expert on steroids?

well...ive been studying this for about 4 years....sooooo, it takes 4 years i guess.

Ha...seriously dude there is so much out there, its a full time job to try. Just be an expert on whatever you decide to put in your body and call it a day. Get some general knowledge and decide what best fits your applications and then research the hell out of those few compounds so you know what to expect.

I studied for 1 year before running a cycle. I've been reading constantly ever since, get a few of the L Rea books too like "building the perfect beast" and other ones. I would say after reading the top 5-7 books you should know enough to run a beginner cycle. you'll never know it all though man.

I would say you need to decide which ones you would want to do, then research those specifically and how they have reacted with people that have the same body type that you do. This would allow you to understand how they could affect you. Being an "expert" on all kinds would take forever....concentrate first on what you, yourself are interested in using.

ummm.....:wtf1:

No prob. btw you said you're a first year MS. What are you planning to specialize in after graduation? And as far as natural BB goes you've got a good base to start with AAS:cheers:

u know u can shoot first ask later????

LMAO JK

Thanks for the help everyone'
MY buddy needs some help and is a newb as well
test-e,prop,cyp, or suspension for first cycle
I think suspension would be a stupid move for a first cycle am I corrrect?
Please don't chew me out guys if I ****ed anything up here I am learning every day and that is what matters

the ONLY way to learn:cheers:

haha

haha

best bet is anabolic pharmacology pick up a copy of that and read it cover to cover as many times as you can,

run thru it with a highlighter, jot down more notes, jot down questions, search pub med for answers.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. Orthopedic Surgery is the name of the game bro. Maybe even get good enough to work on the big boys (sports pros) one day :head:. Hoping anyway. And I can't wait to see what I can do with an educated cycle of AAS. I'm gonna miss rockin the natty comps but its all good.

:djparty:

Your asking a bunch of people who have no clue to explain to you how to become an expert? Blind leading the blind....eessh.

In my opinion, If I were you I wouldn't touch AAS or really anything else before training at least 4 hard solid CONSISTENT years and build a very solid base because before that you really don't need it and can easily build without it. Its all up to you and most guys will say you need to reach your genetic natural potential before going "on", but that is far beyond most think it is. I just say read a lot of work done by respectable people and let it just be that, reading - for a long time while you train hard. There is no way to become an expert, just don't dive in before you need to - it teaches really bad habits and reliance on exogenous rather than discipline and hardwork.

And then ask the author lots of questions since I hear he makes himself available. I hear he has about 20 years of "gym" experience and was a pharmaceutical research scientist for more than 10.

Zounds! Who is this guy? he really sounds like a great asset to the board!

im just proud that i was actually able to work the word, zounds, into a post without you making fun of me seth.

I found out a lot of my research was pointless because it didn't apply much to myself. One of the biggest conclusions i've reached is that everyone's biochemistry is so different that you won't know exactly how you'll react until a steroid until you try it.

Not trying to downplay anecdotal experience but the usefulness is limited if it doesn't apply to yourself, you also need firsthand experience... that's why i try to play around with dose in my cycles to figure out what works best for me.

today, at subway, i couldnt decide between the feast and the cheesesteak....so i got them both on the same bread. It was like 2lbs of meat....cost 16 dollars. I guess i am fat.

LOL just spent $160 on a weeks worth of groceries at walley world... that would be a lot of totinos pizzas!!! You should see the look on a $6 and hour cashier when you buy a case of chicken breast, and all the fat free cottage cheese the shelf will hold, and dont get me started on oats and whole wheat pasta. This old man asked me if I was cooking for someones Halloween party. And FYI Mooch isnt fat, hes "husky"

LMAO! Dude I love grocery shopping! Especially when you buy a huge case of eggs and the manager checks you out because they think you are going to egg someones house! LOL Goodtimes:cheers:

Mooch is a slob. Lol jk I would have done same thong at subway btw Seth I will def get ur book nxt check I'm gettin test this one

It sounds like you are on the right track as in the one that leads to becoming an expert. I need to start researching these things along with the endocrine system in general like I used to when I first started learning about steroids. This has to be one of the best threads I've ever seen on this forum. No bull****. It has inspired me to research and inspiration is a valuable thing to me. Thanks to the OP.

After about two years of passionate research one can start to discern what is bull**** and what is a staple. But to be an expert, just like in any field-constant learning to new advances is a must.

And THEN try to convince him to distribute a newsletter over the web. :13:

been there, done that *10. never gets old.

I also like the WTF look when I unpack my lunch from its "suitecase" at work.

^
LOL

Every morning I go to the hospital gormet cafeteria and get about 4 cups of egg beaters on a plate plus fruit, milk, and about 3TBS of natty peanut butter. You should see the looks I get when I'm carrying that 5lb plate of food around :D! But man those egg beaters are GOOD

IMPO Dan Duchaine was 'The Man' for AAS. What you need to do, if you can, is find a good doctor who deals with these issues on a regular basis and has worked with the pros. In any sport, there is a league of pros and elites, the same goes for bodybuilding. You would be surprised to know how much the IFBB pros actually knew when they started off and how much they rely on their doctors. When dealing with drugs you have to be watchful as to how your body reacts to different compounds and this has a tendency to change over age. Also, there are some very well learned members here that know their stuff.

In case you need help and are on the north east coast-NY area, you can shoot me a PM and i can recommend someone top notch.
Good luck!

For his time, Dan Duchaine was the best. When I look at my old copy of USH2 now though, you can see that a lot of the info is lacking. Takinf steroids is pretty easy, but if you want to maximize your results while limiting the damage done to your body then you need to take a very analytical approach and of course it helps to have guidance from someone who really knows.

In college I would load up with so much food at meals (it was buffet style) that people thought I was nuts. Now that I am old, it doesn't take those levels of caloric intake to gain weight and I am usually trying to lose fat.

LOL right now I'm doing a mini-cut before my cycle to prime my body for growth (I did this for natty bulks as well) and I am SOO hungry for protein and peanut butter/olive oil due to the low carbs. Same concept of maximizing the post contest window of opportunity of growth (except you don't get bloated like a beach whale for two weeks post contest! :D). But I love the looks me and my yellow friends get. Just makes the morning when the cafeteria is staring at you while you eat. Ha goodtimes. And yes it is buffet style

And then between meals I would have cans of tuna in my room and mega mass 3000 shakes -- and people think **** tastes bad nowadays.

My roomates hate me because of tuna :D and haha! I actually like almost all of my powders! And mass gainers nowadays taste great  and when it says mega mass 3000 does the 3000 have any relavence to the formula?
