Donald Trump running for president

you guys would have to give me examples. he definitely has an abrasive personality, but I haven't seen any policies i've disagreed with yet. undoubtedly, the speed and severity of some things like the tariffs made me a bit nervous, but I also saw it as blood letting and that some bandaids needed to be ripped off.

I live in a heavily blue state where it's crazy that any business can be successful, every corner there is a new tax. city, county, state, all have their hands in your pockets. we just passed rent control and a bunch of other new taxes and laws that are crushing small biz and landlords. When it comes to censorship, I'm quickly reminded of Twitter pre - Elon, FB, etc where you couldn't even question the vaccine.

Hell, I got put in FB jail a few years back for quoting the Christmas Story scene about the BB gun. because gun.
REAL ID is horrible as well for the deep national security state and our liberties, we are moving closer and closer to 1984 and the surveillance state where they are Federalizing the ID's and tracking all our movements to to centralized government when really, if I want to hop on the place what the fuq is it governments business who the fudge I am? What I need an ID to start my car everytime next?

I actually have no problem with Trump personally, its just political, I do believe he loves his country very much I just disagree with the majority (not all) of his policies, which is far more relevant than what he says. I disagree with much of what the left is focused on attacking Trump as well and can defend as well as heavily criticize him on a issue by issue basis.

I just have lost my tolerance for big government many years ago then Ron Paul came into my life and never turned back.

He is literally rounding up civilians on the street and sending them overseas, without due process

Trump is a socialist, will do absolutely nothing about abolishing Social Security and Medicare which hands over the power of the state to put a gun to our head and force us into their services.

I couldn't agree more with everything you said - especially your last sentence. Also, I live in CO and the democrats have completely destroyed a once safe and thriving city in Denver.

Some good points made here. Most of them I'm not obliged to comment on because truthfully I don't have enough information. I can say of the ICE raids and whatnot that I have seen regionally, again what I've seen (and really, given to me by leftist media anyways) I've only seen deportations of violent criminals, felons. rapists and murders, MS13 types. etc.

Funny twist of irony here is Real ID began in 2005, so that would have been under Bush. Separate from Patriot Act, but similar. I agree with you, my wife and I are not fans. I'm glad I have my passport because I've never real understood the Real ID push and in WA it's just now a legal requirement like this week/today so I'm in a bit of trouble there without my passaporte.

Bush had proposed the idea of allowing people to move their social security contributions into private retirement accounts. I was a huge proponent of that back in the day and I found it ironic that many conservatives I came across did not like that because they "didn't want the govt dabbling in their IRA's," etc. but they would keep paying their 6.2%.

SS is another one I'm not sure I have a strong opinion on because my dad let me have a joint account when I was 15 or 16 so i've been investing ever since. I always try to get kids to do that. INVEST today! get a credit card on your 18th bday, be responsible with it, build a credit history. but they don't. you can lead a horse to water....

I have no problem deporting non-citizen criminals but you have to charge people with a crime first as everyone is innocent until proven guilty. If they are targeting actual offenders convicted of crimes, you would still want a barrier of protection of the 5th and 14th Amendment so we are all protected from authoritarian government or agency (as well as honest mistakes made by honest people) that we dont get mixed up or targeted as citizens for any other nefarious reason via government. Our Founding Father's didnt trust big government or a King to point their finger at people and charge them with crimes for a reason.

Also, another point, being a part of a gang or cult is not un-Constitutional, as much as it sounds like it makes sense to get rid of them, this is a dangerous path for all of us to warrant government powers to do so, when once they are cleaned up other groups such as MAGA for a popular example get targeted as a "anti-democracy violent group"....one way or another, dont give government an inch of over-reach, they will NEVER stop, and even if we all like our government today, we may not like them tomorrow and by then its far too late. Having governments target any groups is a dangerous path, far more than MS themselves, I support a strong local police force and the 2nd Amendment we have ways of dealing with criminals, and part of that is due process of course.

Cliffs: Protect the Bill of Rights at all costs, when you give some rights up in exchange for security you have neither.

He is literally rounding up civilians on the street and sending them overseas, without due process no American is protected. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in front of a legit judge (not some side court) and Jury, for our our protection or else if you eliminate due process nobody here is safe. He is also calling criticism of Israel as "anti-semetic" which violates the 1st Amendment principles regardless if your a citizen or not, and calls for imprisonment of flag burning....not talking about public property, or citations of arson, this is a real true direct attack on our freedoms of expression which is clear call for impeachment....no matter how disgusting the speech may be, if we dont protect all free speech we dont have a 1st Amendment and nobody is safe, its a dangerous path we are moving towards. I dont care if people are foreign, they have the right to say whatever the hell they want to say or think, if their speech isnt protected, neither is mine, neither is any of ours, and our Bill of Rights is a memo to the government that we are born with these rights and they can go fudge themselves.

"Equal and exact justice to ALL men" - Key word "all"...anybody here on our soil government cant just blindy declare just because they have a tattoo or say something that makes their butt hurt should be picked up locked up or sent overseas.

I can go on but trying to keep it short, but Ill also rant on some other issues quickly vvvv

He also supports the FBI, NSA, CIA, NSA, etc....Trump is deep state, he totally props up the unconstitutional national/international security state, wants to raise the Military Industrial Complex budget to over $1 trillion dollars instead of rolling it back, he has been bombing, or providing bombs, funding, training, intelligence which have caused the genocide of far to many innocent civilians making him a war criminal.

Trump is a socialist, will do absolutely nothing about abolishing Social Security and Medicare which hands over the power of the state to put a gun to our head and force us into their services.

Trump is not a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment, he is very anti-2nd Amendment as much as he thinks or pretends he is not. If people want to own machine guns, attack choppers, battleships thats our business, Right to Bear All arms isnt limited to just guns.

Anyways I feel like Im in the minority on most issues here, that is ok, Im used to it, lol

I know lefties are crazy, but I dont support less crazy just because one is far more crazy than the other :)
Illegals do not get due process!!!! Tough ****

That means your trusting the government to pick people off the street and determine anyone is illegal just because they say so with no checks and balances to confirm that. Ill pass, I trust Pinocchio more than goverrnment. They will blow up the world trade center mass murdering their own citizens and illegally spy on all of us, but yah ok,let them throw anyone in Gitmo or drop them off in Yemen:)

I understand your point here. I'm not familiar with these exact examples happening, but I understand your point. I have another group where someone posted an article, with no references or names, to kids being deported. DHS however reports the names and situations and shows that the mothers have been identified and told they'd be removed multiple times over ten years and were asked if they wanted the kids to deport with them and the mothers said yes. I didn't personally dig in any deeper cause it was a case of two different organizations just saying "nu uh!" "yah huh!"

If they have or havent already isnt as important as never allowing them to have the power to do so in the first place, I dont ever want to give an inch of my rights and protections away, or millimeter. The Constitution is there to protect us first, and that especially includes our protections from Government.

ICE can spend the next four years defending themselves, but that wouldnt change me, lets say our "today" ICE is a perfect honest agency, the point of not giving up our rights today is so the ICE we may not like tomorrow cant.

I don't disagree with you. I think a division between people who think like you and I in that regard, and people who oppose this idea, is acceptables of personal responsibility to our own safety and protection. Civilization has become so disassociated with what it takes to protect ones self both from immediate harm and long term issues (health, money, ability to farm, provide, etc) that many people now days just want to wave the white flag and say govern me harder daddy.

its all very 1984. There was a conversation I was apart of about Cancuns decline in tourism. I said its because of the price gouging, scam artists, and crime that's been spiking in the area. They compared it to the States. I laid out a half dozen examples of things that you see daily in Mexico (coast to coast, caribbean side or pacific) and they said yeah but no school shootings, mass murderings, fresh food and fruits. no racism or white supremacists.

except they forgot that cartels have been known to kill as many as 2,000 people in a month
you can't eat your veggies and fruits without washing them in microbicidal solution.
the most pale white people, and black people I know, are always profiled and shook down by the cops. not the darker skinned white people who look mexican.

they choose to live in a world of naivete

Huge win for Trump as world's second biggest carmaker relocates manufacturing to US

If that link doesn't work, it was also mentioned in Road and Track

I don't mean to intentionally play devils advocate cause you know I am a Trump fan, but a lot of these manufacturers in every industry that claim this, I feel like they flip flop by administration. I'd like to see someone hold all these manufacturers accountable, show the money that is actually spent, the day dirt is broken, and the day the lines start producing.

reason I say that is because I feel like they all say "they're going to do this, they're going to do that" but then a new administration comes into power before they do, and plans get mothballed.

As long as tariffs are there, these businesses have to move plants to the US to avoid tariff costs. It's the only way their sales and business models can work.

Buy yeah, a soft Dem administration cpuld come in later and can ditch tariffs and add DEI and green requirements to drive them away. That's why never vote Democrat. 😆

If nothing else - for almost 4 more years they KNOW it's Trump's business model and they have to play ball if they want access to the massive US market. And they can't sell cars here built overseas with a 25% tariff slapped on bottom line. We can all buy American cars just as easily with no tariff at all...

that's all true, although tbf, I have only bought American cars my whole life lol. But even those GM's built in Canada should be back in the States if not already I believe.

I don't hate the idea of a special trade deal with Canada and Mexico to bolster North American cooperation and unity. But the cheap labor in Mexico and the loose border security of both needs to be penalized and stopped. No joke.

And heavier tarrifs around the world to bring key critical industries back to the US soil... pharmaceuticals, heavy industry, computer chips, etc. Stuff we need here in the event of a global crisis/war. And a bigger hammer to create fair trade balance with China given their manipulated labor/health costs.

More specific and targeted tariffs would be nice. But drastic times ($37t in debt) calls for drastic measures....

a big part of why I learned spanish was to build my parternships in Guadalajara to get business out of Asia a few years back. Cheap labor in central and south central MX is due to a cheap cost of living. I've visited a number of times and can confirm that the cost of living is very low, and the living standard is quite good. wages are like half of shenzhen yet quality of life is better. Now if you move to the coasts like Cancun or Puerto Vallarta, you have American costs, like San Francisco/Seattle expenses for condos etc.

I'm in favor of a very strong USMCA, I totally see the benefit to a 51st state, and a united North America as a global superpower in both resources and military might.

I'm a fan of Adam Smith and econ in general but add to this agriculture and any manufacturing. I believe if we are to be protetionist it should be around those industries that we need during war and crisis. My company is much smaller with say 60-80 employees on avg, but we built a lot both for auto and medical industries especially during COVID. shops like ours could be relocated to MX or China, but then we don't have it domestically during war or pandemics.

This is where democrat based taxation of business is anti American evil. Small businesses should be getting help to succeed, not penalized around every corner.

The only thing I see is that , people do not want to work, good example : Samsung in Tyler Texas . They open 4 years ago and still can not produce quality and on tbe speed they need to get microchips going......

We live in a modern society surrounded by luxuries that aren’t necessarily just material.

Trying to put the USA back into the late 1800’s instead of moving into the future is doomed for failure.

Plus punishing consumers and businesses for making their own free market decisions is immoral. Maybe if there was a tiny tariff to keep most basic functions of government running I wouldn’t even be saying that but that’s how I see it.

Sort of like the kid-raper admin, aay? Take ownership of other peoples wins, blame others on their horrible failures?? Rape and mutilate kids?? Open borders to traffickers and killers??? Youre an embarrassing failure and a stupid kvnt..

Who was friends with Epstein?

I mean, if your govt is deporting citizens, would you expect a govt website to admit it?

The reality is, trusting a govt website to tell you the truth about what the govt is doing is simply being naive

I stand corrected. That 30% stock market drop in 2020 was due to COVID, because your hero Fauci was illegally funding the Wuhan Lab in China to do dangerous gain-of-function research on the SARS virus. Thus causing the entire New Zealand population to cower in their homes for years....

The Biden stock marker drop was 20% in early 2022. Strangely you didn't seem to mind that one bit. LOL

Kind of a silly game....

You could also say, if the President had brain decay (cognitive decline) would you expect his administration to admit it?

If a Parkinson doctor visited the White House 10 times, would you expect the liberal main stream media to ask some hard questions to put 2-and-2 together???

Whatever the Dems accuse Trump of, they are invariably doing themselves much worse....

Actually, absolutely not. I was just agreeing about trusting in government in general, if they told me its a good idea to get 8 hours of sleep a night, get up early and catch the sun rise Id still be skeptical at first lol

You'd figure Dr Jill would have found that early and begun treatment.

Probably got prostate cancer from someone's hand up his ass working him like a puppet for 4 years....

Reminder, this is what Trump said about his 1 year old daughter.

In case you don't click on the link, he says his 1 year old has his wife's beautiful legs, but doesn't yet have boobs.

Its almost as though he was friends with Epstein for a reason.

Well obviously not, as evidenced by the current administration 😂

The U.S. leadership is increasingly turning into a comedy show.
Musk is abandoning his political ambitions, the Court of International Trade has denied Trump the authority to impose tariffs, Wall Street is calling Trump a coward, tourism is down, Putin is making Trump look like a fool, consumer prices are rising, and core inflation continues to increase.

This is great. Keep it coming!

A. last fall when they decided to create DOGE they put a short timeline on it with planned ceasation because they made it clear they did not believe a govt organization should exist without an expiration date.

B. appeals court already reversed it. Why should USA charge 2.6% while the rest of the world charges unlimited tariffs?

C. Inflation is down. In fact, in April it posted the lowest inflation level we've seen since Feb 2021. 4+ years. we have dropped consistently this year.

His 'term' with DOGE was always going to be 130 days. It's standard for for special government employee appointments. We already knew this before he started. It's hilarious to see all of the 'oh he's quitting' stuff floating around when this was literally the plan from the start.

Oh, what are the timelines for the other government organizations? Or is it only DOGE? DOGE was established in January 2025 and is set to end in 2026. Musk was in charge — who’s leading it now? Sounds like mumbo jumbo.

I can't tell if you're a troll or naive. inflation under 3% YoY is always the goal. under 2% is better. 2.3% is great. But this last quote from you tells me you're more likely just a garbage pail troll if you clearly don't understand inflation numbers.

Trump confused trade deficit with tariffs. In the case of Canada, which has a significantly smaller population, it has a trade deficit of something around 60B, which is not much when you consider the population of Canada is nearly 10x less than that of the US.

The actually truth is that Canadians spend more per capita on US goods than the US spends on Canadian goods. If anything, setting the record straight would be Canada imposing tariffs to match the per capita rate of that of the US.

But that isn't how it works.
