This is the thing. If they are truly unbiased wouldn’t they cover it? Is it not news? Quick google search shows every network listed covered him playing golf lol.

I think the problem is that illegal immigration is encouraged and laws are not enforced for the most part. Cities are protecting them including smaller areas where I live. The USA is a socialist country and Id opt to remove these policies as well or have them optional where only people that buy in get benefits, not simply a right for a citizen.

Another idea is to have the USA war machine stop intervening in foreign countries and propping up their own puppet drug dealing governments and corporations who go there and rape and pillage the resources of the locals.

I dont think the majority of wall people are racists though, just disagree with the policies and solution they support.

I don't really agree with you here. Just don't understand the logic of not shelling out the minimal amount for the boarder wall when you look at how many billions the new immigrants are costing us that can just simply walk across an open boarder. Like I've mentioned I am far from feeling the wall will fix any issue but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.

Unfortunately for the portion of those who oppose the wall but don't support open boarders there is the vast amount of politicians that oppose the wall and hope for open boarders that mute out most others.

You can not agree with me all you want, but there are plenty of people (even within this thread) that believe you're for open borders, if you're not for a wall.

As for "sure as hell couldn't hurt"...That's a whole lot of money going towards something that hasn't been proven to work. And that's the constantly increasing cost of the build (a cost we were promised that we wouldn't have to take on at all), the cost of the upkeep, the cost of when an opposite administration wants to tear it down. Plus you have asylum-seekers who wouldn't be stopped by a wall, but then I've seen you question the legitimacy of them.

They've been called the enemy of the people and fake, even when the publish facts that make the President look bad. There's a difference between propaganda and news and there are still places that it can be watched.

Fox 99% of the time covers Democrats in a negative light, the rest of them 99% of time cover Republicans in a negative light.

I watch fox because I am a conservative and they tell me what I want to hear, I suppose democrats/liberals watch the other networks for mostly the same reason....the good news is fox is kicking the competitions butt.

Probably will. I'm just pointing out that other channels have reported on both and to compare reporting on one thing and airing the entire sequence of another is a false comparison.

I’m just saying if hours and hours of golf talk on non sports stations about a shitty golfer is news you would think this would be full coverage. I might just be old fashioned that way.

The reason golf is ever even mentioned is because of the hypocrisy of Trump accusing Obama of playing too much golf. Are they airing his entire playing time? I'm seeing coverage of the Salute to America event all across major news agencies except MSNBC.

Well interesting thing related to your point is Jack Dorsey of Twitter said that on Twitter Conservatives followed people from both parties while liberals were more likely to just follow people from their party.

Well MSNBC is probably the hardest left leaning of them all(which is fine). They are like the fox opposite imo. Sorry I did not DVR the coverage.

You seem literally like one of the smartest posters on the forums and I mean that sincerely. I just don’t understand how you don’t see the bias in just about all of our media. Our media has been insane...honestly like they are competing with internet click bate/hot takes to keep their jobs.

When did I say the news media isn't biased? I believe I've pointed out several times when the news media has lied or when CNN was bashing Trump over something they'd suck Obama off for. If Obama went to North Korea, CNN would be working on his next peace prize and I'd still be saying it's a waste of time for our country. I've also said that the news went downhill when the 24 hour news channels began because there simply isn't that much interesting to talk about and now there are several that compete against each other for ratings. So now they have to make drama up by finding how a minority of people feel and pass that off as how the majority feels on a subject, then the majority gets upset and they have ratings. The news media is often biased, but they're not always biased. And I don't get to just yell "fake" if something is real, but I don't agree with it or it offends me. That's the difference.

I have no doubt that their hatred of Trump played into their decisions to not air this. Were they ever planning on airing it or are they just coming out now to win points with their viewers who are also against Trump? This is a new event, so there isn't really precedent. Most channels will show major political things like the inauguration or the Sate of the Union, but not everything that happens in Congress. Same as all channels might say the Thanksgiving day parade is happening, but only one channel shows it. The media has a duty to report that something is happening, but they don't have to provide a forum or platform for anybody. And I can't ignore the things that Trump has said about the news media which I think is highly reckless and dangerous in the current environment, but he's not the only one to blame.

In the end, I'm simply saying that I don't think your example is a fair comparison. All the major news agencies (aside from what I can tell, MSNBC, but I didn't dig very far) have it on their front page. They're reported on it and are continuing to report on it. Just like they've reported on him playing golf. To me, those two things are comparable. Not showing the Salute to America and also not showing Trump playing a full game of golf, to me is also comparable. Just because I think your example wasn't fair, doesn't mean I think the news media is infallible or without bias.

To be honest I only heard about the non-air in this thread. The way I perceived the post was they were doing it out of spite. I didn’t actually research before responding.

I concede you did make some great points. I still hate our media because I believe it is all about division, but your points are very valid.

Oh they're far from innocent. All the major media outlets will divide and put people's lives at risk for ratings. But even CNN can't make up anything as good as Trump saying we took over the airports during the Revolutionary War Invalid Link Removed
