In the letter addressed to `Most Holy Father,' Porter, who was a priest at St. Mary's Church in North Attleboro during the early 1960s, recounts that Fall River Bishop James Connolly knew he had been caught molesting a boy, and Connolly sent him home to be with his family until the scandal died down.
" 'A short time later Bishop Connolly gave me another chance and assigned me to Sacred Heart Parish in Fall River', Porter wrote. 'I can't recollect much about my stay there except after a short time I again fell into the same situation that plagued me in North Attleboro'."
Porter has admitted to molesting at least 50 children while he was a priest in the Diocese of Fall River in the 1960's. He pleaded guilty to molesting 28 children in 1993 after victims formed a group in 1992 and detailed the abuse against them."
This information is simply and totally unbelievable! Let us review these terrible revelations again, one by one:
1. Tortured Pedophile priest, James Porter, wrote a 17-page letter to "His Holiness", Pope Paul VI, completely confessing his sexual molestation and rape of children. Porter then asked to be relieved of his duties, undoubtedly because he did not want to continue his compulsive sexual abuse!
2. "His Holiness", Pope Paul VI, did nothing! He took no action. He did not care about the plight of the poor innocent children one little bit.
3. The only action recorded was that the Bishop moved Porter to the Fall River Diocese, where Porter proceeded to molest and rape 50 more children over the years he was serving there!
4. Not only did Pope Paul VI know that Porter was raping children, but so did Fall River Bishop James Connolly and the late Cardinal Humberto Medeiros! Yet, not one of them ever, ever contacted the police. Not one of them ever took the common sense step of reassigning "Father" Porter so he could not have access to children.

Also in this world we have over 3,000 aborted babies everyday in the U.S. and no one cries for them. Why...because evolution has taught people that life doesn't begin at conception.

That is a shame. I know that what I'm about to sat might offend some Catholics but I'll say it.... CATHOLICS AREN'T CHRISTIANS! they're Catholic.
If Catholicism followed Biblical Christianity, the priests will marry the way the Bible commands them to and they wouldn't be these pedophile filthy perverts. Thy wouldn't give Mary more attention than Jesus, They wouldn't call the pope the vicar of christ nor call him holy father, nor will they eat a Jesus cookie that's been magically transformed into Jesus himself etc...NEED I GO ON....

They do nothing. Most people do nothing to bring bad upon themselves. This is the age in which Satan is running our world. Pornography, premarital sex, drugs, rape, murder.Also there are such things as generational curses. That goes too deep to talk about here though.
All people talk about is death....And i know about what you mean with the babies. Some counties are being attacked viciously right now and such things happen.
Lets put it like this. Do you blame the president if your child is murdered? Then why blame God? Why? Because all people want to do is blame. I hope no one here every experiences that, it would be horrible. But at the same time people have to understand its more than just this life. Satan has won many souls from God by killing a persons child, then they blame God, and walk away.
Justice will come in the end, but so little people have faith anymore. It is written in the bible. That the suffering will be great, enormous, that the righteous shall be destroyed by the evil. God has already said this, read revelations. It is part of what must happened for thins to be fulfilled.
Lets put it in politics. Gun rights, carry both good and bad things correct? Free will carries both good and bad, and you have to deal with that.
God allows choices to be made so people can choose their fates. The murderer must have that choice to be weeded out, the unfaithful, the liar, the nobleman, the good Samaritan, the judge, the good cop, the dirty cop. These things must be allowed to pass in order for our character to show. Our heart to shine. And the truth on whether or not we love God to be based upon rock, or sand....

I'm sorry...I thought your implicit claim was that god was omnipotent, which means he could easily prevent true innocents from unspeakable horror and pain.
If he can, and doesn't...then he is not all-loving, all merciful...hell, doesn't even make him good.
If he can't, well then what's the use of him?

Well for starters if evolution was real, where is the "missing link" between apes and humans and a rhino and a dog or whatever some scientist will say it came from. They do not exist.
Of all the people who lived over the years, there should be millions of these bones of the "missing link".....never will find it, isnt there to find. Splitting a single celled organism is mutation, not evolution.....Cancer grows rapidly and changed how cells are, so if you have cancer your evolving?
Not to mention how did organisms come to be period? Oh yeah, some ash mixed with a volcanoes fart and it flew into a cloud of methane gas.......
And our dating methods cant be proven to be accurate, because we have no idea how carbon reacts over time, how it escapes after degeneration of bones. So 100 year old bones can test to be 2500 years old if nature works just right.
Check this.
-a freshly killed seal dated by C-14 showed that it had died 1 300 years ago (American Journal, Volume 6)
-living mollusc shells were dated at up to 2300 years old (Science, Volume 14)
-living snail shells showed that they had died 27 000 years ago (Science, Volume 224)
These are just a few errors. They are not meant to end the debate. But once one has considered everything else, it certainly makes it harder to believe that the C-14 dating method is a proven, trustworthy scientific method.
Scientists cant really prove anything other than if you push a ball of lesser mass it will move away from ya.

-coal from Russia from the Pennsylvanian era supposedly 300 million years old, was dated only 1680 years (Radiocarbon, Volume 8)
-natural gas from Mississippi and Alabama should have been 50 to 135 million years old yet C-14 dated it 30 000 and 34 000 years old respectively (also Volume 8)
-bones from a saber-tooth tiger, found in the LaBrea tar pits (near Los Angeles) were supposedly between 100 000 and 1 000 000 years old, were given a date of 28 000 years (Radiocarbon, Volume 10)
science is proving that....the earth isn't all that old.......evolution is actually almost ready to be thrown out by the scientific society, give it about 10 years....for their minds to "evolve" lol
You do know the populace used to believe the earth was flat right? Same deal with evolution, just give it time.
Carbon dating and all other "proofs" that support the idea of evolution through supporting the earths age has to be constantly"calibrated" which means constantly altered so as to produce the wanted results. Like an unstable person, its not going to tell you the truth, and will only confuse you.

do some reading up on hominid fossils. possibly the "missing link" you say doesn't exist. there's a lot of land and fossils out there. it's just a matter of time.
Here's somewhere to start... Invalid Link Removed so before you go suggesting that the missing link doesn't exist take some time to read on the progress being made in this part of the scientific world. I'm all for people believing in religion but if there's scientific evidence to back something up i'll sure believe that. not just what's written in the bible. there is no proof of what happened there and I don't think it's made to be taken literally, and also translating it from its original language to other languages is going to distort the real meanings of a lot of things.

The only way you'll understand this is if you read the Bible (KJV) yourself. It's hard to explain the ways of God to a non-believer. God is not all loving he hates too, sin especially. If the Lord wanted to stop violence, he can but then they'll be no free will and we're just a bunch of mindless puppets then.

Been there, done that...it is despicable book full of murders committed ON ORDERS by god...of many children and other innocents. It is full of rapes, injustice and an inverted sense of morality.
Yet, oddly enough this book which was supposed to have been the exact word of an all-knowing, eternal god says nothing about Slavery being a sin. As a matter of fact, it goes through details about how to properly compensate an owner for the killing of his "property".
Hm....couldn't make an 11th commandment there, god? Thou shalt not enslave people?

I must admit that I have seen this kind of thing happen also. Love can do amazing things. I find alot of the time the people who push science to the max are usually cold and uncaring, but I guess they are upset with all the religious views etc.
We will see a loving intelligent melding of both and science and spirituality in the future...
p.s Dsade I would love to see you just for once leave the science view out of it and just argue the spirituality / religious side just to see if you can provide a balanced view from the other side :thumbsup:

America was founded on Christianity, once we deviated from that base and started to push it out of our government, and block it off, is when America went to hell.
You can believe what you wish, I done my part. The only aid many of these 3rd world countries get are from missionaries. The medical help the often get are from Christians who sacrifice their life to serve to a greater purpose. They will travel the world and give up everything. Die for the cause of passing a bible to someone. Actually do something. All the while most people will be watching the Superbowl...or setting up their HD TV....who justify it all by shipping out a few bucks a month in charity. I have talked to many muslims from Africa. Almost all of them have a high respect for Christians, because they are the only ones who will walk through hell to give them help.
