Immediatly upon waking on an empty stomach, as this is how it was dosed in the study. As far as how, mixing it in water or a protein shake should be fine.

Empty stomach really does seem to work best for DAA.... maybe I'm imagining it but I swear I felt a little more vascular in the shower about 20 minutes after taking it. And I dont just mean there.... lol

I'll add that some people have reported gastrointestinal problems when dosing DAA on an empty stomach. Keep that in mind if you run into any problems!
