Crypto lender Celsius files for bankruptcy


July 13 (Reuters) - U.S. crypto lender Celsius Network said on Wednesday it has filed for bankruptcy, becoming the latest victim in the cryptocurrency sector to wilt under a dramatic plunge in prices.

New Jersey-based Celsius listed estimated assets and liabilities on a consolidated basis in the range of $1 billion to $10 billion, according to a court filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Southern District of New York.

Celsius is not requesting authority to allow customer withdrawals at this time, the company said in a press release on Wednesday, adding that it has filed a series of customary motions with the court to allow it to continue operations in the normal course.

We have a app with a built in decentralized exchange "Safemoon Swap" where coins/tokens need full KYC (not major ones of course,) and sure that was a while ago. The last meaningful addition to the decentralized exchange was a collaboration with "Grove Token" aka "GVR."

Everything else is still on plan with my top watch being the regulated centralized exchange and its out when its out. Im gaming (or gambling lol) this as a 3-5 year play. The price pretty much tanked just like the entire crypto market has so I dont really take it much personal with Safemoon, but Safemoon is probably one of the top of the original BSC tokens of its generation. I think they need to that centralized exchange off before the next bull run (who knows when, could be in a couple years, if ever,) make it well so people want to use it and safe and secure....perhaps make it early so they can work all the bugs out before heavy volume comes in. Its a giant mountain to climb, but thats my high-risk/reward play.

I would guess that credit card they will have out will be a nothingburger without a successful exchange, so I wouldnt get excited with the launch of that on its own.

I've just lost faith in safemoon, but my holdings are basically worthless so I'm not selling either lol.

Cosmic Universe migration to Avax is just about complete and the marketplace will be up in a few more days. Elf character NFT sale soon, and pretty sure Avax marketing soon as well.

Anyone still holding Harmony One? The only thing left on Harmony blockchain I have is Aqua and I keep asking the dev to move chains as well. Pretty sure Harmony is a sinking ship...

I just looked at the past 365 days chart and Harmony has tanked even harder than Safemoon off their highs, but other than the price, is there any other reason you believe Harmony is a sinking ship? Is there community and social media sentiment losing steam? Is there communication from the Harmony developers with the community?

Well, Harmony has had rpc issues for a solid year with no improvement. They were going to send money to Ukraine (thankfully someone dropped it). They lost $100 million in a hack that dropped the stable coins from $1 to $.15 and unlikely they will repeg the right way. Even before the hack, they didn't have enough tvl to pay the team at the current bear market prices for another year. I could be completely wrong and I hope I am. The most important thing they need to figure out is replacing the money from the hack and repegging 1USDC to $1. Also, there's a theory that the hack was internal and planned. Not sure about that, but nevertheless, it came at a terrible time for Harmony.

Glad I got my milly of mtv instead!

I think $300 by end of next year is very possible. NFTs are picking up and a lot of people are going to Magic Eden now instead of Opensea. This is definitely a good think for SOL

Agreed. But I was also playing a little with my post. Of course, I'd rather have some small gains than nothing and the reason for my diversification, but yeah, all my coins currently are still lower mcap than SOL, VET being the highest.
 
I do like VET, and I hold a decent amount. But I’m very careful as I know most of these small cap coins are not gonna make me money.

Most part yes i agree, these small coins should be used to trade in and not.

But theres always a chance that something blows up .. BTC was in dollars i remember and coinbase under 10 i remember staring at it but was too scared to hold long term.

Unsure if these consider small cap > ADA, CRO, LRC .. overall i think they have a bright future ( or atleast i tell myself that since losing money in it lol)

During the last bull run those small market cap coins were the place to be to make amazing gains, unfortunately Im a shytty trader lol. My $300 of Shib popped to $18k and I never sold, I still have it, its worth a little less than $2k now, still sweet but Ill just hold this and see what happens. Im paying my bills at home without issues so thats that.

Who knows if there will be another bull run like that, but if it comes the one mistake I need not repeat is emotional attachment to plays. We now have a shytty economy so alot of institutional sell offs have happened with bigger cap crypto....I think alot of the small caps were also manipulated by big hedgefunds, but also there were 10s of millions of people who were getting big socialist checks in the mail and also getting paid more money to stay home and that era is gone.

If there is another bull run, Ill be playing alot of small market caps again, but this time in and out....well, I hope, lol. Its gambling thats for sure.

I considered taking some out. What stopped me was that the insane ETH gas fees alone were about $250 a transaction, and I had to do it twice because my SHIB was staked, and taking it out was a full transaction. It would have cost me $500 to pull out that $300 lol.

I havent been going researching much coins as of late, but if you have read my posts Ive been gambling on Safemoon and having them drop a regulated exchange on the market. If they pull it off, pull it off well I think I will be good. Its one of the most talked about and controversial projects of the past year and a half though.

I still believe in SHIB as well.

Both Im looking at 3-5 year wait and see kinda thing, boom or bust.

I bought and sold it rather quickly, last week sometime. Didn't win or lose on it. The reason I sold was to because of the kucoin FUD. I ended up buying more Magic instead. Just need it to get back to previous ATH and I'm golden...

Its was .0039 (about) maybe a few days ago now 0.0048, but Binance Coin has been on the up and that usually pumps Safemoon too since its a BSC coin. Im honestly confused how that all works lol

Im not sure if its a "good buy zone," it has been waving back and forth for a while now, it can dip back down or it can go up, I honestly not sure, Im not a great TA guy, but yes it it pretty far from an ATH which was 0.00008 or 9. For the short it its possible for it to dip just a little again but I really dont know.

If I had extra cash Id love to get more SHIB and BONE and hold for years.

Gotcha. Yeah, I'm not great with TA either, but I also don't think TA matters much with crypto because it's so emotionally driven. I was just making sure I didn't but it anywhere near ATH and hopefully near its most recent bottom like everything else is.
 
330 million people own crypto, the world is about to hit 8 billion in population. IMO we are still early, but question is what will be the smash and what will government do to screw things up? Tic toc.....
 
Sorta almost considering this, Block Busters Tech token which will launch on Safemoon Swap soon. I dunno money is tight but this is a very early gamble. Tax is 16% though. BBTF Token. I probably will miss out on this but just thinking. Initial tax free pre-sale is already over but launch is soon but I have seen launches end up in disaster either being rug-pulls, hacked in the process or simply tanking after the launch hype.
