A bit underwhelming to be honest. None of the treatments did all that much efficacy-wise. Might be worth extending the study to 3 or 6 months to compare efficacy better, but it's encouraging from a safety point of view.

This article and study are silly IMO.
Creatine nitrate by definition has less creatine in it than creatine mono hydrate. Of COURSE it won't raise creatine levels as effective at identically weighed doses. And for you to receive the same amount of molecular creatine, you'd need a dose so absurdly high that it would not be affordable or smart to do so.
The benefit of creatine nitrate is less the creatine(holds some benefit) and far more the nitrates for their nitric oxide boosting capabilities.
This is why it's extremely advantageous to use 2+ types of creatine when using CrN, such as 1-2g CrN+2-4g CrM.
If you took 5g of CrN, you'd feel like absolute **** from low blood pressure.
This article is leaving out so much necessary info its staggering, and this is coming from someone who HATES the guy who paid for the study.

Well I do like Anthony Roberts(author of this article), I just don't agree with his assessment of the ingredient.

I don't hate Nutrabolt.
I am saying I disagree with AR's assessment of Creatine Nitrate.
Only thing I've stated so far is that I agree that CrN is going to be "less effective" than CrM at equal doses in total creatine plasma levels, as CrN supplies lower total creatine when compared at the same weight. CrN however will provide other benefits that CrM cannot provide.
Of course, this holds true for any nitrate source...you can use CrN, KNO3, NaNO3, Leucine Nitrate...don't matter to me.
But comparing CrN to CrM for total creatine enhancement is like comparing apples to oranges. If someone is taking CrN for their sole creatine source, it is not a good idea.

And yeah, I do think AR dislikes CN largely because of the person pushing it.
In most contexts I've yet to see a convincing reason to pay more than $.03-.05/day for bulk creatine mono.
There's some argument to be made for something like Creatine Anhydrous or Creatine HCL if you're putting out say, a capsule based preworkout where dose size constraints are really important and you need the most possible creatine content.
