Red Velvet Waffles with Cream Cheese Frosting:

Tried something new with my Snickerdoodle this morning, carbless mini muffins. I am dropping my carbs lower on my low carb days. I was making Snickerdoodle sludge and topping rice cakes with it. I didn't want plain sludge, so I decided to do something quick. I was surprised how well they rose despite there being no flour or pancake mix. Four ingredients; 1 scoop Snickerdoodle, 1 extra large egg, 14 grams olive oil, baking powder, cinnamon (optional), and a splash of water.

For all 3 - 304 cals/34g protein/1g carbs/21 grams fat

I had more with the meal, but just wanted to show the muffins.

Trying to be a bit more regular with my alternate social media pages so I have a better platform for when Athletix kicks off

(Which is this week, just announced if anyone missed it)

Ive worked in the industry for 7 years. I know more people than you can think of!

That's awesome, by the way you gained a new subscriber yesterday... Me :)

I've been watching loads of your videos today and yesterday, I really want try the red velvet MTS.. But it's pricey compared to the whey I buy. Maybe one day I'll take the plunge.

Anyway, keep up the great work man.

Animal Whey Cookies and Cream

Taste

Cookies & Cream – When you think of Cookies and Cream one of the first things you resemble is an Oreo. It is very hard to nail this flavor because some companies deviate towards a milk and cookies kind of flavor. Animal Whey has little cookie pieces similar to Ultra Whey Pro and their Casein in the Universal line. The flavoring is very good. Strong Cookie like flavoring from first touch to aftertaste that has a very bold flavoring. What I enjoy in this is how creamy and dense the flavor is from first bite to the aftertaste. To be a true Oreo it will be damn near impossible to replicate, but Animal Whey for a lower caloric alternative did a good job in getting with a very dense and creamy cookies and cream taste.

Mixability

Usually I mix 6oz of yogurt with 1 scoop of whey as my base (I enjoy making a protein pudding) and it mixed with ease. There are little chunks of the cookies from the batter but that is to be given due to the complex and nature of how the whey is formulated. I also used this whey to make a protein shake in 6oz almond milk. There were no problems with Mixability at all, in a blender bullet it started to mix on its own before being turned on.

Formula

Per Scoop:
1.5 G Fat
3g Carbs
2g Fiber
25g Protein

A nice blend of WPI and WPC, there is also the feature of the cookie bits (Which you find in the CNC Chunks in the batter). Touch of Cocoa for flavor, and some people may be turned down by the hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (as some stay away from anything hydrogenated in general). Cellulose and Xanthan will help enhance the thickness of the flavor in the formula, and Animal Whey also includes a digestive blend (which I really enjoy) to help those who may suffer from any lactose problems or just an overall digestion aid which never hurts. I also enjoy this is flavored with Sucralose instead of aspartame.

Cost

28.99 / 2lb
47.99 / 4lb

The amount is identical to most protein powders on the market with around 10$/lb or raw materials to make up protein. With that said the overall caloric makeup (being around 120 calories) is a good amount and on the lower side than some out there. Not to mention for how easily this mixes up, and how it tastes this is a very quality protein powder. No question after trying this out it would be worth an investment for another flavor in Chocolate or Vanilla (the other two out right now).
