Cooking with whey

Good low carb protein pancakes

Came out pretty fluffy for only 2g net carbs

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/4 cup flaxseed meal
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 level scoop PES select protein powder (snickerdoodle)

garnish with WF syrup and organic butter

You can also make it without :)

But its much closer to ice cream using a machine
 
I am going to try and make protein pancakes today. You guys make it look so delish!!!!!! I'm nervous tho, what if it tastes gross?! :(

Should never really taste bad, usually failed attempts are because of texture. Or if you use eggwhites too "eggy"

Just try to get the batter mix as close to pancake batter thickness as you can and make adjustments from there

Thank you! Lol, I've never made pancakes before. I'm not sure how the batter should look like. I know, I'm so horrible.
 
Lol we all started somewhere my first batch tasted like sweet scrambled eggs ;)

What kind of recipe is it? Using pancake mix or a low-carb version (egg, pumpkin, coconut/almond flour, etc.)

I have a lot of LC recipes, but Bob has videos up for egg and using pancake mix if you want to see what it should look like (I have the links to save time too)

Yes, I'd love the links! Hmmmm, lol, I don't know. I thought I could just add protein powder, water, throw it on the pan, and whalahhhhhh!!! Amazing, fluffy pancakes! :D I think I got traumatized from putting protein powder and oatmeal in the microwave! Talk about gross!!!

If you are using pancake mix it is easiest, pretty well just add one scoop to the mix and extra water/milk until it is back to batter thickness

Thank you! Bob looks sooo young and his pancake looks yummy! I don't know why I thought I could just use protein powder and water. That shows you how much I cook. :(

It was the recipe you gave me lol. I tried to flip it but it didn't work, then I tried to stir it a bit, and now I have biscuits! :/

Its been good for me probably 100 times by now

To avoid flipping try a waffle maker, or I think The Solution has a trick for flipping he's mentioned somewhere

I feel bad my suggestion failed lol, but biscuits are good too

Haha no, it's not your fault! I just suck at directions and cooking. I tried the coconut flour protein pancake. I'll try again tomorrow. Thank you for your help! :D

I stopped buying a lot of brands after the spiking came to light but loved GS CnC in shakes. Found it odd it was grey lol but it tasted great

Just picking a few faves

Select Blondie (love them all...)
USP Vanilla (chocolate is great too)
XF 2.0 Butterscotch
COR cinnamon swirl (need to try CCCD)
Iforce Whey Maple brown sugar oatmeal cookie
 
Why doesn't MTS sell 2 lbs tubs?? I'm interested in the red velvet & caramel sutra flavours but is pretty pricey plus I have soooo much protein right now.

Cellucor cinnamon is on my list so I can make Cinnamon raisin bread as well as PES Blondie.

The price you pay is nothing in comparison to all the samples you get- I'm sure... Not to mention if bobs baked goods are there I know it'd be worth it :thumbsup:
