Continuing My Fat-Loss Journey With...

I haven't particularly noticed a decrease in junk food cravings with REDuction. It does provide a slight increase in energy and at times I notice a decrease in appetite. I believe that It has helped me stick to my diet though, primarily because I know that taking a fat loss supplement WON'T do anything unless my diet is in check. :)

REDuction: Day 21

I am really feeling like I am getting closer to my fat-loss goals. I'm noticing a lot more definition in my shoulders/chest area as well as my stomach. This is very encouraging to me. I think that the combination of my diet change and REDuction has really done me well. I've noticed a lot of good this past week. :D

Workout:

8x3

BB Bench Press: 85x1, 95x3, 105x1, 115x2, 120 lbx1

BB Deadlifts: 165x2, 185x4, 195x2

Chin-Ups: Body Weight

10x5

Cable Curls: 60, 50 ,40

Cable Tri Extensions: 80, 90, 100,

I was very happy with my Bench numbers. I set a PR. I pushed myself so hard with that press that once I got around to Deadlifts I was pretty beat already. :) Still, it was very good.

I was so glad to be able to do 8x3 Pull-Ups! Lately I've had a very difficult time with them because of the preceding compound movements. I was just full of energy today. My complex carb filled breakfast after a weekend of veggies really fueled my muscles! :D

My body is in the process of fighting off a cold! :( Last night I was feeling pretty bad (sore throat, head ache), but I am doing better today. Lots of Vitamin C and rest!

Yep, haven't dropped by in a while, and I have to say: GOOD JOB BW! Keep it up!

REDuction: Day 22

I've had a lot of energy today. This afternoon I went to workout and came back ready to clean the house. So I did. For over an hour. :) It is sparkly clean!

Workout:

8x3

Squats: 155, 160

Clean and Press: 85, 90, 95, 100

Dips: 15, 20 lb

Hammer Curls: 30 lb

3x10

Split Squats: BW

It was an intense workout. My whole body aches from all those amazing lifts! I am so glad that tomorrow is an off day. Recovery is greatly needed here!

I am sure you are making some man very happy.

Those are some great dips, BW! I remember when you couldn't even do your bodyweight!...now they're weighted!

Yup is awesome. It's great to see you progressing forwards so much!

REDuction: Day 24

Workout:

4x15

DB RDLs: 35, 47.5, 50 lb

DB Bench Press: 35 lb, 30 lb

DB Rows: 25 lb

Lat Raise: 17.5, 15 lb

BB Bicep Curls: 30 lb

I felt so sick while doing this workout. I had a cup of coffee, REDuction and Assault this morning before lifting, and I think it was just a complete stim overload. I also had a TON of fiber with breakfast and it seemed like my stomach just exploded once I started lifting and drinking my intra workout carbs, Glycergrow, etc. Bleh. I was so glad when it was finally finished.

Overall my energy was great today.

REDuction: Day 25

Workout:

4x12

Leg Press: 160, 180, 200, 230

Lat Pull: 90 lb

Shoulder Press: 30x2, 25x2

4x15

Leg Extension: 85 lb

3x10

Push Ups: Body Weight

I felt much better while working out today than yesterday. It was a great workout and exhausting. I've been pretty active today and am looking forward to sleep!

Holllla, my friend! :)

As Resolve said, today I am changing up my workout routine as well as lowering my calorie intake. The last couple of weeks I haven't seen a whole lot of progress towards fat loss. I've seen some more definition in my upper body, but not much in my abs, legs or butt. I have gained a lot of muscle, but I think that I need to change some things up to get better fat loss results.

I will be doing 3-4x10 circuits this week. It should be intense. Today I'll be doing Squats, Rows, Push Ups and Explosive Step Ups, along with a few other supportive movements. I'm hoping this will really help target my fat loss. Circuits are good at doing that, and have worked for me in the past.

I am also lowering my calorie intake on workout days from ~2800 down to ~2560. This should really help speed things up. I'm still sticking with 1700-1800 cals on non lifting days.

I'll post up my workout when I get back from the gym. :)

I did have a great workout! I am soooo tired. that workout was incredible. I was out of breath the entire time, and I am completely exhausted! It was very difficult because I am not used to circuit training. This change in training will do me some real good.

So, here is my workout:

4x10

Squats: 115, 135, 115, 115
DB Bent Rows: 22.5 lb DBs
Explosive Step Up: Body Weight
Push Up: Body Weight

I considered adding bicep and tricep movements, but after completing all 4 sets I was dead. Completely dead. I did one set of Cable Reverse Curls for 15 reps with 40 lb and decided to call it quits. I was having a hard enough time spotting Resolve on his NG Decline Bench. It was an amazing workout! :D Tomorrow I will be doing the same kind of training with Clean and Press. :woohoo:

I have a few days worth of REDuction left. I didn't take my doses on Sunday, and boy did I notice a lack of energy! I was tired and had a difficult time staying alert the whole morning. Being paired with eating low carb, low calorie made me even more sleepy. :p I for sure receive a boost of energy while using REDuction.

Nice work! Circuit training with weights is not for the weak or weary. There aren't too many people who will do these types of workouts. They are simply too intense.
I'm curious, do you have any idea what your resting heart rate is? I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped in the coming weeks. Heart rate actually raises quite high during resistance training. Circuit training can lead to some pretty nice cardiovascular benefits. Might be an interesting thing to add to the log if you happen to have a heart rate monitor.

Keep up the hard work, I'm interested in seeing how this new training style works out for you.

I don't know what my resting heart rate is. :( But I do know that it was sky high while I was training today. I haven't had such a cardiovascular workout like this afternoon's for months. It reminded me of Sprints every set. It will certainly help me build up endurance!

REDuction: Day 29

I still notice a boost of subtle energy about a half hour after dosing RED. I get that same burning sensation in my stomach and and slowly I begin to feel more and more alert.

Last night I had a very difficult time going to sleep. When I began thinking I shouldn't have taken my 1 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon, I realized that I hadn't taken my night time dose of REDuction. So, after rolling around in bed for an hour, I got up and took my dose. :) It really helped me go to sleep. Within 15 minutes I was out.

Workout:

8x3

Clean and Press: 90 lb

4x10 Circuit:

Weight Assisted Pull Ups: BW - 60, BW-70, BW -80
Lunges: 25 lb DBs
Dips: BW, BW-60, BW-70

Yesterday brought another very intense workout. This training is so different from what I am used to. It takes so much endurance and looking at how much weight I use when doing my circuits makes me feel pretty weak. I haven't done this kind of training for around a year now. Already I know that I like lifting heavy better. :D

Lifting while cutting is a game of mental strength. It is really hard to force yourself to cut the weights back and speed up the workouts. I think everyone enjoys going heavy, it let's one rest more, eat more, and move weights that stoke one's ego. Still, we all gotta cut down sometime... We're in the same boat right now. I have to keep telling myself there is a light at the end of the cutting tunnel, and NO YOU CAN'T EAT THAT! hahaha!

I'd love to bulk right now, but I am just so sick of all the meal preparation...Right now, the only reason I would care to be rich, is so I could hire a cook. - I should be eating another 600-1k cals/day.

I just cook more each time I cook now... I have gotten used to re-heated chicken and brown rice just out of convenience sake.

Good dipage.

lol, and I thought it was pretty lame.

Yeah, heavy lifting is just so much more fun! I just enjoy it. But I know that these circuits are going to help me better with reaching my current goals. :)

Man, my carbs are extremely low right now. I think I'll bump all my cals way up starting in Week 4 of this cycle.

Today has been a really low carb/cal day for me. I never function well on particularly low carb days. On top of that I was out in town from 10:30-5pm and didn't have anything to eat between those hours. Talk about hypoglycemic! It was bad.

It's interesting - on this I.F. thing, I'm not hungry until after my first meal. It's like once your insulin rises, you want to keep eating. After breaking the fast, abstaining from food for more than an hour makes me begin to feel hypo.

How do you like that method? It's very interesting, I must say.

Jury's still out. Eating all my meals within a smaller timeframe makes eating overall easier; less cooking and preparation time by a longshot. Having to opt for more calorie dense foods that I would normally avoid is also a nice change - rice, cereal, even some potatoes here and there.

However, as I'm doing more research, it seems that for recomp purposes I.F. is best with 3 workouts per week. That way each high cal workout day is followed by a low cal recovery day, rather than having two higher cal days in a row, as I have now. BW and I will be changing over to such a 3 day routine next week - we'll spread out our current regimen a bit, but still do the same workouts.

I don't really know what to think of I.F. at this point. The past two weeks I haven't lost any fat, IMO, and now Resolve just figured out the reason. So I'm looking forward to changing things up next week. Hopefully I will start seeing some good results.

So, I believe that overall I've lost a little bit of fat on REDuction. I would say that I am below 17%, probably in between 16%-17% BF. I'm sure that if I hadn't made so many changes in the middle of taking REDuction I would have seen more fat loss results. But Resolve and I decided to do some I.F. experimentation, and it cost me 2 weeks of zero fat loss progress. :) Next week will be better, I'm sure.

It takes a couple weeks for your body to adjust to things, I've noticed...or at least for me. It's a lagging process. You're doing great, BW. You've got more drive than me at this point. I need a chef.

Today's workout was not quite as intense as the other two this week, so I added another set to it.

5x10

DB Bench Press: 35 lb
DB Squats: 25 lb
BB Rows: 50 lb
Leg Bridge: 10 to a leg

DB Overhead Tricep Extension: 20, 17.5 lb each arm
Hammer Curls: 25 lb

Final REVIEW

I took my last cap of REDuction today. I think it is an effective product, I only wish I was not "experimenting" so much with diet and lifting throughout the month that I took it. I felt like half of the time taking a fat loss product was pointless, because I wasn't losing fat without it anyway.

Nevertheless, REDuction provided a subtle boost of energy and it's thermogenic effects caused me to sweat a lot more in the gym. Usually about 30 min- 1 hour after dosing I would feel a burning sensation in my stomach. I assume that this was caused by the cayenne. Soon after this feeling I would become more alert and I could feel it helping me wake up every morning.

I rarely had any problems with falling asleep on this product. I was happy about that, since many stimulants make it difficult to fall asleep. It seemed like the evening dose made it easier to drift off every night.

Yesterday's workout:

4x10

Deadlifts: 165
w/ Shoulder Press: 35 lb DBs

Pull Downs: 105, 120
w/ Split Squats: BW + 25 lb Plate

Great review, BW! So is this the end? Are you taking a break from logging for a bit?

Well, I actually have another bottle of X-Force, but I don't want to start taking it until I know that my current diet and lifting are helping me lose fat. Otherwise, it would be pretty pointless to take...

Nevertheless, I think I would like to log a few of my new supplements. I hope to start up in a couple of weeks.

Get the diet right, lady, and you'll get the results you want (lose 0.5-0.7% BF a week with just diet (and training) alone). You already know that supplements are just the cherry on top of the icing on the cake. You know what you're doing

Right now I'm just sticking to my staples until I get back into a decent training routine, and am tightening my diet up.

Link us up to your new log when you get it started.

This is my plan. :)

I've taken some after pictures that I will be posting up in a moment. :D

Okay, so I finally got some great pictures of myself that you can consider my "after" of REDuction. I apologize for such a delay in posting them.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I am about 16% BF now. I've been noticing that my upper body (chest, shoulders, arms) have leaned out a little bit, as well as my abs and hips. :D I have more definition everywhere. I am a bit smaller everywhere. Except my arms. They are leaner, but they did gain 1/4 inch of muscle this past month, putting me at 13 1/4 in. Not bad, IMO. I'm aiming to define them even more so they aren't so "bulky", as some of my family members say.

But, I want you to look at these pictures and tell me what YOU think about my progress:

It looks like your legs are starting to explode!

Could you post before and after on the same post for comparison?

You have definately flattened out the midsection and looks like you are on your way to getting the abs. You arms/shoulders look more defined, but I know it is hard to shoot good posed pics while photoing yourself. Keep up the hard work and dedication because your progress is showing.

Lady, your waist has gotten noticeably smaller (you have great proportions). Also, midsection is definitely flatter. 16% BF seems right :)

Forget about what your family says. Be the way YOU want to look. As for your arms, 13.25 inches is impressive (you've definitely got more muscle than me there). And to get them more defined only means getting leaner.

And your legs are not that bulky at all. Once the fat is gone from them you will have some good definition!
