Are there any effective OTC COMT inhibitors that could allow N-Coumaroyldopamine to stay active longer to exert it's benefits? I know EGCG and quercetin both inhibit it to some degree but aren't overly potent at doing so.

I hope this doesnt break any board rules but when I read this thread, I wanted to learn more about COMT.

My anxiety is off the charts anymore as are my seemingly LOW dopamine levels.

I've seen rhodiola mentioned as a COMT inhibitor a few times, but never any concrete evidence that shows it actually works as one. Specifically I've seen different sites state it inhibits COMT up to 60% but they don't link to anything to back that up.

Whats all this mean in laymen terms? If you have high COMT then you are hungrier and burn more fat?
Would NCD increase COMT ? All this stuff kind of loses me.

Which I cant seem to find but it appears that they gave r. Rosea to rats and observed changes in monoamine levels and hypothesized the changes were the result of r. Rosea inhibiting COMT. Hardly says much though since r. Rosea is a MAO inhibitor (both A and B) Invalid Link Removed which can explain the changes they observed.

Better then explaining because there are multiple regulators of this gene like leptin npy agouti and pomc
