Bama's #2 in the AP poll. Funny thing though... couldn't find the talented Gators anywhere in the top 10 of either poll!:toofunny:
1. LSU (Still the champs until proven otherwise)
2. Alabama (Who has done more so far?)
3. Oklahoma (Look solid, but absolutely untested)
4. Missouri (Chase Daniel will win the Heisman)
5. Texas (See Oklahoma comments)
6. Penn State (Definite contender from a sad conference)
7. South Florida (Can't knock 'em)
8. Georgia (They drank the Kool-Aid, but were more themselves in the 2nd half of the funeral)
9. Auburn (They are ugly, but always seem to find a way to win)
10. Vanderbilt (Hey, they beat Ole Miss!)
Alabama is still #2, with a much-needed off week ahead. Even with as many mistakes as they made yesterday, I'll bet no one on this board expected them to be 6-0 at this point. Not bad for a team with only 9 seniors on scholarship. Missouri's moving up, and they absolutely annihilated Nebraska yesterday. If they do the same to Texas in a few weeks, I'll really be impressed.
Here's my new rankings:
1. LSU (A chance to solidify this ranking against Flori-duh)
2. Alabama (Certainly beatable, but no one else has wins over two top 10 teams)
3. Oklahoma (Can prove themselves against Texas)
4. Missouri (Offense is s-c-a-r-y. Defense is questionable)
5. Texas (See Oklahoma comments)
6T. Penn State (Very workman-like, with a chance to move up when all the above teams play each other)
6T. Vanderbilt (Gators wish they were Vandy, with wins over Ole Miss and Auburn)
8. Georgia (They'll be back)
9. USC (All talent, no heart, weak schedule)
10.??? (I won't even discuss BYU, Utah, or Boise St. Also, I'm not yet buying that Texas Tech or Oklahoma St. are for real either. We'll see.)
Discuss???
