Classic Kleen - The Road To Competition Fall 2024

Honestly, I have no clue, anywhere from 8-15%. LMAO. I am ridiculously lean in some areas and holding some fat in others. I won't even hazard a real guess.

Was just curious if your coach had a target BF% as well as weight, or if it was just more based on look.

I'd guess you're somewhere between 8-10% since your abs have deep cuts, plus the vascularity and grainy look of your legs.

Yeah, we haven't discussed bodyfat percentage at all. Just going off of how things are looking. I would guess you are somewhere in the right range for bodyfat. My hope for the first one was to make it to 7% although I won't actually know if I hit it but what I think I should look like in that range. About a week and a half to keep losing some fat, hoping we can get another 2-3lbs down.

People actually ask me why I am so dark right now. I think the lighting in that room is just completely over the top and washes the color out

haha I'm the same way. I'm darker than everyone I know except my black friends. but take a pic in the bathroom mirror at home and I look damn near albino.

I was guessing you were in the 8% range, so I could see you drop 1% or 2% in the next week and a half. The really good thing is you’re holding on to your muscle, and you shouldn’t lose any over that week and half, so you should go in there shredded with good fullness.

Considering we just now added in 50mg Winny I definitely don't expect to see much in the way of muscle loss. Just a lot of hardening, and then once we get into actually adding carbs to my extremely depleted self things should really start looking good.

Not that it matters here, but per mg Stanozolol is actually more anabolic in studies than most all other traditional androgens used in humans - more than methyl test or Dbol or NPP, etc. So adding in 50/day precontest, there’s no way you are going to be losing any appreciable muscle. You won’t be able to get the weekly calories low enough to waste tissue with that on board now!

Yeah that is what he was saying too. That the winny would keep the size and help me fill out once carbs were added.
I gotta ask, what is to Your right in the pics? Is it a reptile habitat? I can’t tell, been buggin me.
It is just a decorative hanging light we had made for my daughter once when we were on a trip to the Riverwalk in San Antonio. She changed all the colors in her room and didn't want to toss it so she asked me to use it in there for the dogs as a night light so we can see our way to the lil ones pen in the dark.
Not once have I noticed anything else in any of the pics he posted

Your Internet game is still stronk.
LMFAO!!!

I had a rough one yesterday. In the middle of my chest session something in my thoracic region twinged and popped a bit taking my breathe away momentarily. I had to immediately stop all pressing movements because retracting my scaps became painful. After a little messing around I was able to do some 21's on the fly machine to finish off pecs then had to adjust my biceps work around to make sure I didn't bother the area. So did a couple different exercises for the biceps and things were starting to get progressively worse where taking deep breathes was bothering me. I decided to call it there, call off cardio, and reduce calories for the day to only the remainder of the protein I had to consume, no extra fats or carbs. I am sure the reduction didn't quite cover the calories I would have burned, but it definitely got me closer.

Just got an update from my coach this morning and this probably couldn't have come at a better time but he told me to take tomorrow, and next Tuesday off, those are the days I have to fly out, and back. He doesn't want me training those days which works well for me having something pissed off and knowing I am going to be busy using my back with this office move the rest of the week. I should get a lot of just general activity which will help with fat loss. Excited to see the results, he said this last check in my lower back tightened up a decent bit and that is what we are looking for. :)

I am going to get my cardio in for the day today then probably take a safe approach and do some high volume leg extensions and curls to get legs in then have the day off tomorrow to rest, and recover from flying. Feeling pretty stoked with how things are going even though I tweaked my back. I took ibuprofen last night and will hit it up throughout the day. I know it won't make my liver happy but we are here in the last moments, and at the point of doing what must be done to come into show day looking stellar. So if my liver enzymes have to get a little out of whack over some temporary NSAID use then it just is what it is.

Winny is mostly a hardener correct? I seem to recall folks mentioning to watch out for dry joints on it too. So just watch any of the heavier movements, although I'm assuming this deep in prep you may already be/have backed off a bit on the overall weights used?

Oh yeah, definitely have cut down on weights used. Pretty much all sets start over 10 reps now, and i try to stay to a 1-2RIR closer to 2 RIR when possible. Most things are done in the 12-15 range some of it up into the 15-20 range. Just trying to keep training intensity and volume high enough to keep the muscle I have built on my frame without pushing as hard as i would be if truly chasing hypertrophy. The body is simply just to compromised at this point to push that hard productively and the risk isn't worth the reward to push any harder.

Winny is actually quite anabolic, it is a good muscle builder, but it shines during a cut where you want to tighten up and have less water retained. I definitely will have to watch out for the dry joints, and be careful but I am going into it knowing that already. So not planning on trying to prove anything to myself or anyone else in the weight room. It could prove disastrous. Just have to do enough work to keep the muscle on.

Hopefully it’s not something too serious….sounds like it popped out of place just a little. It may be worth a trip to the Chiropractor or ART Doc for an adjustment.

Yeah, I think something just popped out and back into place when I rolled my back out after. It took my breath away again when it popped back in then started feeling a bit better. So, I assume that was it. Just trying to control inflammation now so it doesn't get worse, or more inflamed with the office move. Unfortunately I won't be able to get to my chiro before I have to fly out to Denver in the morning. So kind of going on a wing and a prayer here that everything will hold together over the next week.

is massage therapy an option? I know exactly that sensation you're talking about, have had it a few times and it was absolutely miserable. At least, in my scenario I found rubbing it out against the corner of a door jam or lacrosse ball or making my wife drive her nuckles into the spot really hard helped a lot. When she gets it, it causes vertigo and I can feel the knot moving around but she's got a new massage therapist that really works it out great. Luckily it's a female specialist or I'd be worried lol

I may look for a massage therapist up in Denver if I need one. Not sure where I would squeeze that in right now, but if the pain kicks up I will definitely do something to alleviate it. Right now though, me an ibuprofen are close friends.

Currently looking online and found an Arctic Zone collapsible cooler for $37, says it holds 40 cans but looks much smaller. I am going to go look at them when I get off work and most likely pick up 1, maybe 2 of them, then freeze my chicken and beef for the week overnight tonight and then just pack all of my food in the coolers in a 2nd checked bag since they are free on Southwest. Coach said it is just better to take your food than try to find someone to cook it to spec for you in another city. I did look at meal prep places but they only had premade meals, not something I could specify X grams of chicken and x grams of green beans. So those were not options at the level of specificity that I am at with prep right now. This trip will be a good practice run for getting everything up to the nationals. If I can pack for a week this way I can do it again for the nationals and probably improve on the process.

a couple years ago my wife got an RTIC soft cooler at a super low price because it was an "off" color, we LOVE that thing. I'm not sure if it matters as much on the soft coolers but with our big RTIC I always pre-chill it the night before with ice etc. The trip we took earlier this month to eastern wa, temps were about 103f at peak. after 4 days there wa still ice in it when I got home...

Yeah I think it says 2-3 days of ice holding. So freezing my chicken and beef in there overnight should really do the trick to keep everything nice and cold. I also called my hotel and asked them to put a microwave in my room so I can heat up my food. Things are coming together!

I think thats a dynamite plan. especially since the food IS the ice 😅💪🔥

Man Chris, you are killing it!! I knew you would but just so impressive with all you continue to overcome!!

Yep, should do the trick nicely! This cooler also has what it calls cold packs at the bottom to hold more cool in. So freezing the bag is recommended.

Thanks Kat, I am giving it all kinds of hell!

Hey Kleen, used the Core Post Peanut Brittle today for the first time, after my bench day. I used 14oz water for it, along with a scoop of brownie vegan powder & collagen. It was pretty good, very sweet, but still too thin (they recommend 8-16oz based on preference) - try it in 10-12oz whenever you get to! Bet it would be creamier.

No complaints about digestion or anything bad to say at all, had my blood sugar feeling restored quickly.

Sounds good thanks for the recommendation! Some big changes here to the plan. We are refeeding the next 3 days, averaging 500g of carbs each day. Unfortunately I am traveling so this sudden dietary change has tossed a good money wrench at me. Trying to backfill carbs with karbolyn where possible and just make it happen. At work today so getting all the different carb sources together is not going to happen. So going to do my best to macro match as much as possible today and tomorrow and hopefully Wednesday I can get a whole day of exactly what we are looking for food wise. Either way, for right now we are carb loading. I am 100 grams in and about to have to make another shake. We have a mandatory celebration dinner tonight which kind of sucks because I would rather go train while I have the carbs in me. I may go find one that is open late.

damn dude that's a LOT of rice for carbs on a budget 😅

When I was eating in a surplus I would grab the bowl of rice, and pour a sugar syrup of some type on it (such as bbq sauce) preWO. But even still, I'm talking about like 150-200g at MAX... 500g is a good heavy hit!

Yeah 500g a day for 3 days is gonna add up. I am nice, full and tight right now.
DO IT!

I mean if it makes sense, if you aren’t exhausted, that’s a good time to pump things back up.
It worked out well, I ended up telling them I had a workout scheduled and with my contest coming up I didn't think it was best for me to go to the dinner when I should be training. They were a little bummed but they understood and then after I opted out everyone else was like I am so tired do we really need this dinner? LOL So they just did the planned happy hour at 3 and we closed down the office at 5 for the day. So I was able to train. I got one hell of a pump. I definitely needed some salt though.
My chest was full and round, vascularity was getting pretty ridiculous getting new veins in pecs too. Lots of changes coming in.

I am going to do my best to get all my macros in again today, unfortunately I will be flying half the day so that wont be an easy task but I will get everything in by the end of the day. No training today per coach so at least I don't have to try to fit that in right now either. I am going to find some salt around here somewhere to supplement because i am feeling a little dehydrated in that regard. Can't have that, plus it will mess with my ability to really get full.

Yeah, I bet you do have veins popping up everywhere with the extra carbs, and the pumps will probably get sick.💪😎

Oh yeah, and definitely looking bigger, my close are filling out for sure. I can't wait to see how it all looks 10 days from now after some water manipulation.

Pump must be insane
Yeah, it got pretty ridiculous.

So a quick update, 2 days into refeed, woke up 204.2 lbs this morning, took my fasted progress pics, then had a movement before eating or drinking anything and got down to 202.8lbs. However I am 204.2 in the pics which is up about 10lbs from pre-refeed weight.

Looking full, and tight here. Maybe a tiny bit spilled over kind of hard to tell considering I was distended from being gassy, and having a load in the chamber so to speak.

Looking full and vascular…..you’re definitely in Beastmode.

I feel like the biceps and delts are popping even more. Instead of looking smaller on a cut, they're almost looking bigger despite your weight loss. I'm always impressed when someone can hold on to solid arms during a big cut.

Thank you Sir!
Full on BEAST MODE and the younger Broccoli Bois are in YEAST MODE!!!

*Punch line comes w complimentary dental damn
Damn straight, got them Broccoli Boys back there making me some sour dough!!!

To be fair, right now they should be looking pretty stellar, nice and full of glycogen. I agree though, I was worried my arms would start to look too small but this far I have been impressed with the size and shape I have maintained.
If that’s distended, you’re doing just fine
Agreed, not too noticeable in the shots, I could definitely feel it for sure. I have also been steadily pushing things out today. I am sure the gut clearance is needed as I was blocked up a little earlier this week. Looking at these pics I am guessing I would have looked a bit tighter sometime yesterday probably sitting around 200ish for a really nice and dry look. Definitely getting excited for this!!!!

I should get my new macros tonight for tomorrow. I believe we will be starting the depleting process for next week.

If you want I can post some distended pics so Kleen has a benchmark😂😂😂🥦🥦
Haha, be feeling like

Just for shits and giggles, this is the progress made since the beginning of this log. From 199.2 lbs to 204.2 lbs since October 1 2023.

it's pretty phenomenal to see how even the posing has improved so much, the improved conditioning is more than obvious, but you talked about working on posing quite a bit and I feel like you can 100% see it!

This might sound odd but it’s like driving by a house a couple times a week as the owner puts in sweat equity, constantly noticing minute changes in detail and massive progress all at the same time. If the bones are good ya know???…

Speaking of bones, my green “guy” just left🤪

No, I totally get that analogy.
Nice job Kleen, great to see those comparison photos. Front shot changes are dramatic.
Thanks Segan!

Excuse the incoming anxiety and panic induced rant.

Woke up nice and spilled over at 209.3 today. Getting a little concerned, haven't seen or heard from my coach since early Wednesday and just prior he told me we were going to load me up then deplete me. So I am kind of just waiting to hear we are ready for the depletion process. Weight is climbing and I am beginning to resemble a water buffalo. I am really starting to stress about the fact I don't even have a groceries list for next week, we haven't even discussed water intake, or sodium manipulation strategies. I don't even know if we are supposed to be pulling salt from my food. Kind of feeling like the wheels are falling off right now not being able to get any information from him. If i knew the plan I wouldn't be sweating it but from where I see things right now I don't like where things are heading. My physique looks like ****, and I am not happy about this overspilled water buffalo looking back at me in the mirror. I know this is just a panic brought on by a lack of information and communication but it is out of my control which is very disconcerting to me. I feel like I should already have been made aware of what the approach was going to look like and have been asking for over a week for a specific shopping list of foods he wants me to have with me for the contest. it is very hard to have any confidence in the process, or trust the process when you have absolutely no idea what the process is going to be. At this point I don't know if he changed his mind and we are spiling me over until the show then hitting me with diuretics, or what but my nerves are a wreck not having any idea what is going on. It's like what the **** are we doing a week out with no plan. I am sure he has one, and I am really trying to have the same level of trust I have had the last year with him but I need to know what the **** we are doing because this is not something I am used to seeing done, and we are up 15lbs of bloat at this point. Anyway, I know, trust the process, and if I knew what the process was, I could do that but either he isn't sure yet, or he is trying to keep it close like it is a top secret approach. Whatever it is has my stress levels through the roof with the lack of information I have a week out from the show.
