i can't believe the guy that's standing directly in front of them on his phone, not doing a damn thing.
 
i dont care how big that guy was, i would have broken a chair over his head or kicked in his knee sideways or something raw like that. it would be the one time in your life that you wouldn`t get in trouble for beating down a cop. plus the bartender would prob hook it up with free drinks for awhile.
 
oh yeah i would have had fun beating that terd. each punch took 3 seconds to get off. It would have been like a video game beating
 
That was savage,..how could someone just watch that beating without reacting...I guess its shock or fear...what ever it is I hope its not catching....who wants to bet that, this isn't the first time this guy has beat down a women or somebody half his size? He looked way too comfortable with those bombs he was throwing.

What an absolute piece of sh!t and waste of life that guy is. I'm just as amazed by the stupid bozo's just looking on but doing nothing. That guy will get what's coming to him in jail.
 
My GOD! I would pray he's my cellmate, so I can fvck his pretty azz everynight! On first viewing I counted three options when he could have absloutley been destroyed by the bystanders.

Scratch that, I hope they give me a group cell where I can gangbang fvck all those *****es. Ones dumb and the others are stupid.
 
I was also surprised nobody came to her aid. I would've ripped his nuts off and bit a hole in his throat. forget size, that sh*t would hurt anybody

I'm sure the fellow on the phone was calling the police, which is what should be done in that case.

But she got right up after it ... she'll recover in a week, he lost his job and his freedom.

How do you get so far disconnected from reality that you don't see beating up a small chick as wrong. Does he think cause he's a cop, he can do whatever he wants?
 
Actually there is something "on the books." I cant remember exactly what, but it happened in the mid 80's in NYC. I group of like 60 people watched a mugger beat a victom to death.

The consensus of the study was that one person was more likely to do something than a group. It had to to do us expecting someone else to do it rather than ourself.

thank god for cameras in hole in the wall bars, and good ones at that. I'm not sure where the rest of you guys live or grew up, but I've lived in Chicago all my life and that **** and worse happens but it's usually when the cops are in uniform not off duty without their partners.....now by NO MEANS AM I CONDONING that f-in act or any of the others acts of b.s. violence that the CPD puts the citizens of Chicago through on a daily basis...especially the black citizens, just out of the ordinary to see it happen while he's off duty. When that cop gets inside they will probably keep him in seg. which is a dahm shame and thats to say he's even going to do any time.....

I would of helped her but I'm sure a lot wouldn't of for fear of being SUED afterwards. Its to the point where when I see a old lady about to fall i have to decide. Well if I help and her ribs break I get sued.
 
i once witness a horrible roll over car accident where a person was thrown from the vehicle then rolled over by it. about 100 thoughts went through my head whether i should stop and help out anyone who might be stuck in the van still. Before i knew it i was the first person there. the dude was all banged up (and that puts it lightly). he was jackhammered into the ground about 12 inches, his leg was severed mid-thigh and bent back over his shoulder. his chest was ungulating like jelly with every mis-timed heart beat and he was spitting blood like a fountain. Worst part is he tried to get up. i didn't want to see that so i put my foot on his chest and called 911. dude died right there. good news is noone else was really physically hurt at all. of topic, but cathartic
 
What a bunch of douchebags! The 2 guys just standing twiddling there thumbs. Someone should beat there a** for standing there!:D
 
I'm probably about half that dude's size, and I would have jumped him for trying that ****. I don't see why everyone else didn't do something.

Edit: A free excuse to beat up a cop would be motivation enough at any rate, regardless of what he was doing. :D

like a previous poster stated, you're protected by samaritan laws which are present in every state. this is within reason though. i doubt you could pull this guy off, beat him into oblivion and still qualify. from my understanding, they were created for CPR type situations where your chances of breaking someone's ribs are highly likely. it's pretty fvcked up that if someone saves your life, you had the opportunity to sue them for it before samaritan laws took effect. money grubbing fvckers out there. lest we forget the mcdonalds coffee incident.

This would actually be under our rights to arrest an individual who is involved or believed to have been involved in an indictable offense, I have taken law, every citizen has the power to use reasonable force to detain an individual or protect themselves for an assault. This is said to best represent matchings of force. he was clearly involved in an indictable offense, any citizen has the right to use force which may result in grievous bodily harm or death to protect this individual, but as said earlier force is to be matched, so if asomeone punches you with closed fist you cannot hit them in the face with a bat. seeing as this guy was beating this girl most types of offense involving your body would be allowed to an extent until the offense is no longer occuring and the situation is under control. Any lawyers are welcome to prove me wrong, I actually have the code guidelines somewhere around I might look for them to post direct law guidelines as they appear in the code.
 
I blame that guy on the cell phone just as much. That video says a lot about our society today.

**** that. If someone utterly crazed smacked me to the ground with just a blow from a closed fist, I'd pick up a goddamn 2X4 lumber piece and show them who the hell they were messing with. Break it right over their skull, too. Even Dolph Lundgren couldn't stay awake after that.

Just curious. If the force is supposed to be matched and lets say the attacker is 2-3 times stronger then anyone around. Are they still limited in what they can do/use to stop them? If a 100lb untrained person decided to stand up to the guy at the time any punch or kick giving wouldn't do much. Or would they be allowed to smack him with a chair?
 
Apparently it was HER fault he's got a tiny piece, just watched this, We could go on and on about what we would do, the worst is when you DO intervene and the girl goes hysterical "what did you do to my boyfriend you azzhole!"

Yeah, but you also have to remember that if some little dude is facing some guy who's bulging all over and juiced all to hell, he's ****ed. The bigger dude can just disarm the little guy easily. Hell, I'm sure the little guy could stick a knife right through his ribs, and the guy who's packing the juice would pull it out, proceed to systematically break the little guy's vertebrae, and THEN collapse from his wound. There's no guarantee your opponent won't disarm you if you face them without a weapon, and if they're an experienced fighter, and you're not-you're more or less screwed right then and there, because they can take a hell of a lot more pain than you can if you're inexperienced and the most exercise you've ever done is getting out of bed.

I've been taking full-contact MA for some time, and I can assure you, I -never- rely on it. First thing I do is grab something I can swing-nice and heavy, and solid. **** hand-to-hand fighting, I haven't finished growing yet and comparing myself to some jackass pumped to hell on anabolics is like comparing a grub to a soldier ant. :aargh:
 
I guarantee that a well applied "rear naked choke" would have had that dipsh*t sleeping in just a few seconds. I know bouncers that use this bjj technique on a regular basis to remedy this sort of situation! Hell, I've even used it myself on some over agressive drunks. I hope that power hungry idiot drops his soap in the shower and gives up some Fruit cocktail!!

Well I am not sure but I am fairly certain that you are able to escalate to any level required to protect your being, that being said you can't just kill someone outright to defend yourself from a beating, if its your life or his and its that straight out you can take his.

So I would ahve to say yes to your question, if its obvious his hands cannot stop the assault on his being he can take it to the next level. I am no lawyer but this is how I see it. but keep in mind if your defense is drastically disproportionate to the offense you may face scrutiny by the law.

Also this 2x4 defense wont work on everyone, I know someone who broke a 2x4 on someones head and tryed to stab him with the broken jagged ends repeatedly and he was very conscious afterwards, I have taken a beer bottle to the head (mind you it was self inflicted lol) and got mighty angry...

It doesn't necessarily have to be on someone's head. The body's got plenty of soft spots. People do get bludgeoned to death after all.

Ya i second that, i don't care how big he prick is, he could have 100lbs on me if i see you beating a women i'd be seeing red. Cop or no cop he'd take a vicious beating from me. I can't belive that their was atleast 3 guys in that bar that just yelled they didn't do **** to help the girl, who is ony 115lbs! The the hell i wrong with ppl??

Most of the bartenders I know have an "equalizer" behind the bar,...for just such emergencies!
 
Bottom line is that guy should of stepped in. I've been in that spot before, not in a bar though. This guy was slapping around his girl pretty good and I'd see just about enough. I first called 911 to report it then went over and hammered on the guy. He wasn't so tough when I wasn't 120lbs female. Needless to say when the cops showed up the guy was on the ground in the fetal position. The cops damn near gave me a badge, LOL.

ANd hey say the guy does start to hammer on you, atleast your taking the beating and it's not some female. No one thinks like this anymore, where did our respect for women go?

Somebody's going to call me a pussy for this, but I never involve myself in a fight I can't win. if there's a good chance of me getting wasted by some dude who has a blackbelt(or says he does), I'm getting the **** out of there. I don't see why anyone else shouldn't do so as well.
