Carpee's learning how to recomp

Mr. FedEx man brought me my first nutraplanet order from the New Year's sale...which only means one thing.
It's officially time to start the recomp/cut log.
This will be my first detailed log, and will be a much needed learning experience for me.
A little foreword: Dosing and calorie suggestions are all welcome.
The first week or so I will continue to research and tweak my dosages of what I'll be running. If you feel you have a worthy idea, feel free to chime in! I'm here to learn.

Here we go:
SO much to cover :biglaugh:

First and foremost the DIET:
Occasionally I'll hook up some pics.
I will be carb AND calorie cycling. The first couple of weeks have been something such as:
SUN/MON/TUE/WED/THU/FRI/SAT
Low/Mod/High/Low/Mod/High/Mod

Calories USUALLY will never go below 2,000, I feel that with OEP, AP, and Prime, there is just no need to drop that low.
But also will never go over 3,000
Average is 2,200-2,400
95% clean. A cheat every once in a while, because A) i'm a college kid and B) to keep the metabolism burning
Meals can be anywhere from 3-6 times a day. I'm learning where that balance is between fat loss while building muscle.

This coincides with my training schedule
Monday- Push - power/heavy/low rep
Tuesday- Pull/Legs - power/heavy/low rep *Legs are in their own scheme
Wed- OFF
Thursday- Push - Hypertrophy ranges/varied 8-12 reps (*sometimes 15-20)
Friday- Pull/Legs- ^ ^ ^ ^

*Legs may be trained for power, however usually i just train them for 8-12 reps and change exercises between Tuesday and Friday. I've recently added front squats in and I'm falling in love with them.


On to Supplementation:
the staples are obvious- Fish oil 8-10 grams a day, MultiV, Whey, creatine mono.
OxyElite Pro - 2 per day
Anabolic Pump - before large carb meals
Prime - 6 caps per day ED (wish i could megadose, DAMN YOU Dreamweaver and Snag!!)
CEL's Formestane- Now i originally planned to pulse this at 100 mg MWF, but maybe just run it for 4 weeks straight *PLEASE GIVE ME OPINIONS
USPowders Bulk 1-carboxy- 1.6 grams pre-workout, and 800mg pre-bed (away from meals)
NP's Maca - 2-3 grams a day
NOW's Fenugreek 2-3 grams a day 5 on 2 off (M-F)
NP's Muira Puama- 800-1000mg 1-3x's daily. *Also give opinions on this
and RPN's renegade for fun!!

Goals:
Rip off that body fat!
Maintain and possibly add lean mass
Goal date : Spring break, 2nd week of march.

Decided on the formestane dosing:
4 pumps/100 mg ED for 26 days
2 pumps/50 mg ED for 8 days.
This is exactly 1 bottle
 
subbed on this one... I have the same stack I plan on running for a recomp once I hit my goal weight. VERY intrested to see how this turns out for you
 
Nutraplanet shipped out my digital scale today.
It is accurate to mg's, so until I get it, i'm kinda wingin' it on the bulk powder doses.
They come with 1.25 cc scoops...but I'd like to be more precise
 
how did you get a scale???? They were all sold out when I tried to order
 
Yah I have run this very same scenario and if you average right around maintenance calories you can gaiin mass and lose fat no problem. Recomp is a bit slower in fat loss but the muscle you retain will pay off in the long run.

i may shift gears as it gets closer to spring break, depending on how much fat is left

yeah I'm right in the middle of it right now, northern IN has gotten about 5" in the last couple hrs.
I have my gym in my garage tho! :D

Thanks to the midwestern snow storm, me and a buddy I lift with while at home decided to cancel tomorrow's (friday) workout and do a full body domination.

Front Squats (still learning these):
-135x8
-185x8 2 sets
Stiff leg deads standing on 2 plates:
-185x10
Sumo deads:
-225x8
Here's the killer part!
I said screw it, went into rage mode and did regular deads at 315x3 to pump myself up, and then I just went for it.
Never tried 405 before but I did it for 1!
405x1!!!

After that I felt great:
Tbar Rows
Pec Deck - rest pause
Smith behind the head shoulder press - rest pause
Bi and Tri work.

First workout on Formestane, and I have to agree with JudgementDay. No sweat, but definitely a dope work out. Very pleased with the intensity in the gym. The 1.6 grams of Bulk 1-c and the 2 squirts of Form kicked in and the rage went down.

LOL you didn't sweat either, it feels weird not to sweat, I wonder if that has any effect on not burning as much fat... Congrats on you're 405 pound deadlift thats awesome!

So a little confusion came up last night.

My original plan with the formestane was to pulse it at 100 mg 3 times a week.
Then I talked with JudgementDay and decided to just run it every day at 100 mg.
Then we found out either 50 mg ED or the pulsing idea are more ideal...

any thoughts?

Hopefully my mg scale gets here today.

Need a little help dosing NP's Maca and Muira Puama. They both come with the same size scooper and one serving says 100 mg and the other is 200 mg. I understand there is more of the "actual" ingredient in each, but the 4:1 is messing me up with the Maca.
If i need 2 grams a day would i use 20 scoops or 5...or am i making this too hard haha

Yah that's my prefferred method but it's not what many others do. I am just looking form mild Estrogen control and pulsing makes it so I don't climatize to it having go constantly increase dosage.

How would you recommend and every day dosing. I figured 100 Ed for the remainder of January and then 50mg ED til the bottle runs out, 8 days or so

Yah that sounds fine, remember my dosing is based on the fact that I like to use it as a staple.
 
Yesterday was an off day, and low carb.

1 OEP, fasted ab work in my room for about 15 minutes.

breakfast
2 Prime
1 small apple
2 scoops of whey
2 tbsp of nat. pb

lunch
2 Prime
5 1/3 oz of 93% lean beef
1 cup of broccoli
42g of shredded cheddar


1 OEP,
45 minutes later dinner
Me and the gf were out shopping and I had to get creative.
We hit McDonald's and I did the best I had to work with:
Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese NO BUN
~650 cals 40-50 grams of Protein

It all added up to just about 2,000 cals. (Fish oil with every meal, adjusted to meet requirements)

Today is a sad day, I'll be running out of Prime.
I feel like a crackhead waiting for my next fix. I was planning on buying some from a dude on AM, but he hasn't responded and Paypal is really pissing me off. They transfered money from my bank account days ago and it's still "uncleared" according to them. BOGUS


I'm a college kid, I need that money back haha.

Today is an off day, Low-moderate carb..probably just one meal will have any starchy carbs in it and I will take an AP beforehand.

I'm getting ready to head back to school, which is where this log and my goals should start taking off when I'm settled in.

yea, I almost got those, but I didn't pay...so it's all good for now.

I used to love having McDoubles and Quarter pounders for planned cheat meals, but with OEP it doesn't even taste good to me.
I crave vegetables and lean cuts of steak, makes it really easy to cut
 
wow really.. it makes you crave veggies and makes mcdonads taste bad. I cant wait to start mine cuz I LOVE mcdonalds and HATE veggies..lol..

I was the same way man. I don't know if its psychological or what, but fast food isn't even a temptation...and you just feel nasty after eating it.

Apples, bananas, broccoli, zucchini, etc...is what i crave

been on it since wednesday
100mg's ED, then 50 mg for the last 8 days perfectly uses the entire bottle.
 
Heading back to school today. My routine should fall back into a normal pace within the next few days.


Diet has been good, aside from a designated cheat meal I give myself once every 1-2 weeks. We made mini brownies, it was an extra 450 calories on Saturday night.

Yesterday was just under 2,000.


On a different note, a buddy from school e-mailed me out of the blue about how he's gonna try to play "semi-pro" football this summer. He wanted me to recommend him a stack and asked specifically about Jack3d. He's 300+ and my height, so he's a bigger guy.
This morning he ordered OxyElite Pro, Recreate, and Jack3d. Recruitin' USPsoldiers
I'll hopefully be working with him on his diet to make the most of his order.
