BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER: Snag's Recipe for a [NATURAL] Recomp, Competition Style!

Ah nice man.. That's my standard drink when I go out to eat, w/ the slice of lemon, dig it. Water & sun tea (unsweetened of course) are about all I ever drink. Cup of joe in the AM, can of soda (maybe) mid-afternoon. That's it.

Here's another good one for you Snag....

I'm working up in the tropics at the moment, so every morning I get my 5L insulated drinking container and add the following:

2x chopped lemons
1x green tea bag
1x white tea bag
1x black tea bag
chock full of ice, then a water to the brim.

...and drink this all day. If I had a heap of Poseidon, Id throw in a few scoops as well for good measure

Edit: Some fresh mint would be bang up as well!

That sounds awesome! I'm going to do this, and add some BCAAs because I can!

Out of interest, who much would you add Cannons?

Depends on the type of energy expended throughout the time you drink it. I had a job during the Summer that was very active. I tossed about 40g of Xtend in my gallon jug and finished that during the course of my work (5-7hrs). After that I drank another 30g of Xtend intra-wo. I drank about 2.5-3gallons of water each day, with about a total of 60-80g BCAAs, on a very low-calorie diet...Still gained strength throughout the summer!

If it's just a lazy day, and a normal fluid intake, I'd toss in 20g.

Thanks for the definition. I was curious, and you saved me the trouble.

I've been having some afternoon thunder. Awesome.

EDIT: There is also a definition of morning sex - which I would strongly prefer to a fart...

Ya, but that one only got 9 thumbs up...I did think it was funny when it also said "a type of tea you drink after morning sex."

Shucks, Poseidon, that's what I forgot on my New Years order. Hopefully we can add it to our NP Wishlist soon, I hassled Sam about the feature again last night, same with the email reminder for OOS products. I've been trying for a while, honestly! :dunno:

Day #31 Quads/Hams/Calves/Abs

Holy Hellacious Hydraulic Pumps Batman!! :squat:
Fan-freakin-tastic leg session today in FT format, energy levels continue to soar, strength solid, intensity beyond reproach..

Explosive BB speed squats, single-leg pulley sweeps (cross-body), leg extensions supersetted with leg curls, standing BB calf raises (6 sets, toes pointed straight/out/in/in/out/straight), ab work to finish.
1min rests thruout. Legs are just buttered! :D

Utilized Pslin+70g carbs for PoWO breakfast. Nice & swole, muscles full!

Meal #2 today, following up my 'large' carbs for breakfast..
9 egg whites
1.25 cups broccoli
2 pieces Ezekiel bread
1 TBS natty PB (chose this instead of a yolk)

Not pictured: the other half of the sandwich! I got hungry waiting for my broccoli to get done for the pic..

Snag, where did the 70g of carbs post w/o come from?

Today it was something a bit different.. 30g WMS, oats, and grapefuit.
Haven't used WMS for a minute, sounded good today to work alongside some Pslin..

:offtopic: I was just scoping out my profile page, adding a friend, and happened to notice there are 'awards' now on this site..
Me & SteveO have the award for 'Hyperactive Geeks'.. :wtf:

Well isn't that special.. :gives:

Can't help it I work from my home office alot right now; this very minute I'm working on my getting my tax info together for my tax dude.. I'm on the computer alot. :type:
Not a very flattering award tho. Thumbs down for that new 'feature', aha..

Where do you guys see this at?

Snag-O-Pimp, how long have you been training at home?

Thx man.. I was gonna put a full body shot up today (cuz I'm making great progress, looking kinda X-ish these days, aha), but I'm scared to make any more posts than I have to now..
You're on there too bro -- under 'Community Awards' for being 'socially engaged'.. must be in a lot of different threads or something. You do get around.. :)
On your profile page, RH side where there's visitor messages, there's a box says 'AmSpace Points' click on it, then at the top of that you'll see the awards link.
I guess it's a good thing. I get points for it, so.. :bruce2:

Oh, btw - been training at home since I bought my house in 2004.

Ahh wth, since I already have 'geek' status..
Besides, this was pic-worthy.

Meal #4 (of 5 today):
2 cups stir-fry veggies, with
7 egg whites, stir-fried in
1 tsp EVOO
4oz turkey breast
(not pictured: 4oz Romaine salad w/ tomatoes, 2TBS lite balsamic)

Curbing carbs here tonight last 2 meals, shaking up the mix a bit..

It appears I'm the worst geek offender ;)
To see the awards, go to Invalid Link Removed . To navigate to here, go to your profile, 4th tab, AMSpace Points, then choose "See all awards".

Side note, you can see who has got infractions this way! I haven't had any, but I have had some of my threads self-destruct

USPlabs has an award for 'Zealousness posting and tagging!' :toofunny:

Ahh shiz, I'm almost at 10k views on this thread (but according to my geekness, half of them must be mine!)

Hey Snag, just BOGO'd the Anabolic Switch. Here in Phoenix the gold card works all the time also!! Local competition is what I was told as reason. Thanks for the input as always.

I'm diggin' your meals Chef Snag !

What is your carb cycling plan at the moment, how many grams per lb BW on low/high days? I've been going backwards and forwards through your log to find out, obviously these things are changing as you are getting stricter with your diet. Just wondering where you are at and by how much will your carb intake decrease before the comp.

I'm digging them too - getting some great ideas.

DF - if you haven't already seen it, Borobulker runs this A1 food log - geared towards your favourite supplement line

Hope you don't mind the hijak Snag. BTW - 'Snag' in Australia is slang for 'Sausage'. For example:

"Throw another snag on the bar-bee, mate!"

Haha, yeah it's tough keeping up with the diet for sure. Constant state of flux.. Roughly, an average day right now is 210g carbs (or 1.15g/lb BW for your mathematically scientific appeasement :)). That's the base. This kinda goes like this:
Meals #1 & 2: 50g
Meals #3-5: 30g
Meal #6: 20g
I am rolling regular/hi/low carb days around tho, you're right. Low days, I might go down to 180g, maybe 150g.. depends on what I'm seeing in the mirror. High days, again I'll vary that too, depending on what I feel I need at the current time. Could be 250-275g; could be as high as 350g..
Calorically, I've found a sweet spot right now at 2400cals/daily -- weight's hanging at 183-84, yet body changes are still happening. I got a feeling tho this might have to change in the not-too-distant future..
I don't think I'll vary my carb % much from what it is now till the final 2 weeks (don't hold me to this -- just what I'm observing currently); I'll just whack the calories down. Final 2 weeks tho, we'll make some changes..

No worries on Casey's link. I just found that myself, heard all these references to it for awhile. I think it's ironic that he was doing food pics long before I thought to put my own in -- and I end up doing the same as him, ahaha.. I'm still kinda partial to my foods tho! ;) As he has different goals than me tho, there are some tasty looking things up in there! :food:
Snag = sausage in the Land Down Under huh? :nono: No sausage going on 'round these parts.
You don't put vegemite on sausage down there do ya? I've heard you guys put that stuff on about everything..

Vegemite - you are a learned man indeed Mr Snag!

some would put it on everything! goes really well in a chilli con carne. I eat it everyday if I'm eating bread! I took a jar hiking in the himalaya's once!

Wow, time flies. We're already on..

Day #32 Shoulders/Traps/Arms/Abs

Just killed it today.. demolished dem delts debilitatingly.. blasted biceps bodaciously.. tremendously terrorized the triceps.. and absolutely annihilated abdominals!! :aargh:
(aren't I the alphabetical poet this morning, ahaa! :D)

Standing BB military press, front DB raises, bent lateral raises, hi-trap pulls, DB concentration curls, EZ-bar preacher curls, close-grip bench press, lying tricep extensions, weighted decline sit-ups, hanging leg raises, weighted side bends was the order of the day.

Same old stuff for feedback: unbelievable pump, focus, strength thruout; stamina is tremendous as I again ran everything with 60sec rest periods between sets..

I'm spent! :hammer:

You and me both I just about murdered myself Saturday... and Sunday I didn't move. The SuperSap and Jacked combo are turning me into an animal inside and outside the gym... then I just feel tanked the day after.

Do you know what's killing me about that chili recipe you gave me Snag?

#1. It tastes too good to be healthy and it makes me paranoid.
#2. It makes me want to eat larger portions and I have to refrain :sad3:

My next batch will be the lean ground beef, which doesn't taste good to me, so that may alleviate temptation #2. Lean Turkey tastes too much like regular ground beef to me, which means it tastes too damn good.

:damnit:

I just made a killer dish myself...

First, spray down a skillet with some olive oil. Then, take lots of diced red onions, green peppers, and tomatoes, and saute for about three minutes on medium heat. Then, toss in two cans of tuna, stir-fry for another couple minutes, then toss in some fat-free mozzarella cheese until melted. Serve on two slices of toasted Ezekiel bread.

Nom-nom. :D

Sounds very tasty. I love cooking with canned Tuna.
